It just boils down to personal preference. The HTC Rezound is my favorite phone. The True 720p screen is amazing when watching HD Video, not to mention the Beats Audio is awesome!
rezound - GOOD - beats audio, 720p lcd display, better camera, faster processor? BAD - beats limited to music app? thicker design, don't like the texting keyboard , can't resize widgets? Razor - GOOD - brighter and more vivid video colors, better video camera, thin design , longer battery life, better animated transitions, BAD - photo quality, five homescreens? non-removable battery? lower resolution in fonts (pentile?) Both phones lose in my test. I'll just wait for better.

Thanks to the King of industrial design Mr. Claude Zellweger. I hope they expand the display size to be up to 5.5 as compared to the Samsung Note. @galhomrani Nicely said pal. But I really wouldn't want a 5.5 inch. You see, I'm a picky person. I like things done perfectly. For i.e I don't want $3 for a burger and get some quad-size burger. I want it done enough to make me satisfied. Hence, for me, I feel 4.7 inches is the perfect size for any phone as it isn't too small yet too huge.

Can you please use CF-Bench to benchmark the mutli-core phones? Quadrant is only for single core phones as it only reads results from 1 core. CF-Bench isn't the prettiest but it works well for dual-core phones.
Nice to see that the samsung galaxy nexus is going to be sold on Verizon for $199 unlike the HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID RAZR that are being sold for $300.So this means that even Verizon feels that the HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID RAZR are both higher end phones The GN has a Poorer quality camera a slower CPU [VS THE HTC Rezound] and no removable memory. both the Razr and Rezound are both better phones vs the overrated galaxy nexus.
Man, I think phonearena reviews are better, but nobody beats aarons style. as for the phones, htc sense is the top UI by far (at least I think so), my roomate has an HTC 3D and I have an optimus 2x and I really envy sense. But razr is faster, slimer and by far (at least in my opinion) a much more handsome device, the thing is just gorgeous while the htc is quite generic. I would also pick the razr.

@pyro74boy I'm not speaking for myself. I'm speaking of the 6 razors & rezounds I play with at my brothers Verizon store. Yes, the rezound DOES lag. Not always, but still does. Especially in the app drawer.The razr has no lag whatsoever. The removable battery & SD card is a plus. And the camera is better. It comes down 2 personal needs & wants.

U do realize that the gn & razor use the same TI chip. & no. Havin a slightly higher cpu doesn't mean faster. At all. Ask anyone that knows tech. Newer model chips, ecosystem, os version. I've played with both the razr & rezound. The rezound lags a bit. The razr is faster. & the gn is prolly faster than both.

I think 720p is overrated and kind of over kill on a mobile device. Yes 480x800 is lacking, but the 540x960 which we see on motorola devices is very sufficient. I would take 540x960 with super amoled on the razr over 720p on super lcd on the rezound.

@TheOsolis14 What you Nexus fans jusr don't seem to understand is that I would have had to spend $300 on the GN and would have also had to downgrade my hardware and when you GN fans are making excuses as to why you don't need removable memory and why you have a poorer quality camera and a slower CPU I will be enjoying a better over all user experience on my HTC Rezound and when ICS 4,0 comes to my phone it will be way less buggy so I don't mind waiting for that update on my phone.
Both are great phones but the DROID RAZR has no removable battery the HTC Rezound wins this fight for that fact alone. quadrant benchmark testing is good for ONLY bragging rights because I once had a phone that scored higher and my friends phone scored lower and it still outperformed my phone. quadrant testing has NOTHING to do with how good these phones are going to perform for real wolrd everyday use. Go out people and try both of these great phones and buy the phone the one that you like the most. You can;t go wrong with both they are great.
I had the razr for couple of days I have big hands buy when it comes to texting emailing razr was really uncontroble camara sucks on razr to get the razr fully charge it like 5 hours
Now I have the rezound this device blew razr away good feel on hand beats audio is awesome battery life last me a long time an I Do heavy usage and I don't have the extended battery at all
I remember when after the original Razar, Motorola kinda slacked in the cell phone industry, then they made the original Droid and started kicking a** once again!!! also i don't like what has become of HTC's UI, it's just not as pretty anymore :(
@pyro74boy well I guess i'm one of the lucky ones cause my battery hasn't been an issue and I use my phone heavily with twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
My only gripe admit the razr is its ability to take photos in low light settings. I miss that dual LED flash from HTC. It helps out a lot.
@xavi997 I own the razr and there is s little lag in the punch to zoom but I've seen much worse. its nothing to throw a fit about, trust me. the dual core works very nice in this thin device.

i had an htc hd2 with custom ROM and i had like 3000-4000 in benchmarking apps, and that doesnt mean nothing..Aaron, you used to compare the speed of the phones side by side (like open a page at the same time with both connected in the same wifi network)... or open the same app at the same time and see which one is better, also the user interface its an important thing and you dont compare them.. i like to see your videos but i think you are skipping the important thing of the phone fights
Aaron, the next time you do dogfights, could you please start the browser test at the same time? They are on the same network and it would be great if you could do a real-time speed test between the internet speeds.

In terms of overall user interface, I think the Rezound beats the Razr. If HTC could make a phone with decent battery life, that would be awesome. Also, no removable battery on a Motorola device is a fail, especially if you plan on rooting and flashing roms to it. I haven't owned an Android device yet that I haven't had to remove the battery at least once.
@dn8931 RAZR has a "hard"-reset shortcut, i believe it involves holding the power button and one of the volume buttons (FORCES a reset, so functions identically to removing the battery). i thought the same as you till i learned that
I think its bullshit. Rezound is better. Better in the hand. Better camera picture quality on stills and video. The audio not as good, but still okay. The display is so much more crisp and better(not in color) in most areas. I personally like the design and build and camera a lot. To each their own then. I would recommand the Rezound over razr any day. Motoblur sucks.
Agree with you that the RAZR is fast and that the screen is actually quite good. I love mine. Picked it on purpose over the Gnex because I hate plastic phones. The RAZR's build quality is great!
@Ticomfreak GN has an "okay" camera. I know it has 5mp, and that megapixels aren't everything, but the GS II has a really good camera sensor. As for the GPU, Exynos is a lot more faster than the TI OMAP 4460
Here is something else that many people seem to forget Verizon recommends that you take your battery out of your phone at least once a week and what if you want to get a extended life battery? the RAZR not having a replacement battery is going to be a issue in more ways then one however it still would be my second pick,

quadrant benchmark testing is good for ONLY bragging rights because I once had a phone that scored higher and my friends phone scored lower and it still outperformed my phone. quadrant testing has NOTHING to do with how good these phones are going to perform for real wolrd everyday use. Go out people and try both of these great phones and buy the phone the one that you like the most. You can;t go wrong with both they are great.

I had the razr for couple of days I have big hands buy when it comes to texting emailing razr was really uncontroble camara sucks on razr to get the razr fully charge it like 5 hours
Now I have the rezound this device blew razr away good feel on hand beats audio is awesome battery life last me a long time an I Do heavy usage and I don't have the extended battery at all

I remember when after the original Razar, Motorola kinda slacked in the cell phone industry, then they made the original Droid and started kicking a** once again!!! also i don't like what has become of HTC's UI, it's just not as pretty anymore :(

@pyro74boy well I guess i'm one of the lucky ones cause my battery hasn't been an issue and I use my phone heavily with twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.
My only gripe admit the razr is its ability to take photos in low light settings. I miss that dual LED flash from HTC. It helps out a lot.

@xavi997 I own the razr and there is s little lag in the punch to zoom but I've seen much worse. its nothing to throw a fit about, trust me. the dual core works very nice in this thin device.

@WwilliamsIV the nexus is alot better lol, a much better screen with a faster proccesor, did you see the pinch-to-zoom in the web browsing using the droid RAZR? It was alot laggy.

No freeze on my motorola razr yet so the whining about "what if I can't do a battery pull" seems to not even be a issue. Love my razr.
I've played with the rezound and I had the thunderbolt. Droid razr is the best phone in 2011. That's including the galaxy nexus which is over rated.

@WwilliamsIV Sorry but I don't agree with you about the battery infact I have already been reading on the blogs about people having issues with the battery on the RAZR Verizon has even told me that not being able to take out the battery has already been a issue with the RAZR however the RAZR is still a great phone and would have been my second choice.
I also agree with you about the galaxy nexus Both the Rezound and the DROID RAZR are the best phones on Verizon.

I have played with both and I prefer the rezound its pretty sweet. Importing your songs isn't hard it has a beautiful display and lasts me all day.

i had an htc hd2 with custom ROM and i had like 3000-4000 in benchmarking apps, and that doesnt mean nothing..Aaron, you used to compare the speed of the phones side by side (like open a page at the same time with both connected in the same wifi network)... or open the same app at the same time and see which one is better, also the user interface its an important thing and you dont compare them.. i like to see your videos but i think you are skipping the important thing of the phone fights

It's a trade-off. Awesome display, decent battery life >>Rezound
>>Pentile Display, Awesome battery life>> Razr
In terms of overall user interface, I think the Rezound beats the Razr. If HTC could make a phone with decent battery life, that would be awesome. Also, no removable battery on a Motorola device is a fail, especially if you plan on rooting and flashing roms to it. I haven't owned an Android device yet that I haven't had to remove the battery at least once.

@dn8931 RAZR has a "hard"-reset shortcut, i believe it involves holding the power button and one of the volume buttons (FORCES a reset, so functions identically to removing the battery). i thought the same as you till i learned that

I think its bullshit. Rezound is better. Better in the hand. Better camera picture quality on stills and video. The audio not as good, but still okay. The display is so much more crisp and better(not in color) in most areas. I personally like the design and build and camera a lot. To each their own then. I would recommand the Rezound over razr any day. Motoblur sucks.

Agree with you that the RAZR is fast and that the screen is actually quite good. I love mine. Picked it on purpose over the Gnex because I hate plastic phones. The RAZR's build quality is great!

@Ticomfreak GN has an "okay" camera. I know it has 5mp, and that megapixels aren't everything, but the GS II has a really good camera sensor. As for the GPU, Exynos is a lot more faster than the TI OMAP 4460

Here is something else that many people seem to forget Verizon recommends that you take your battery out of your phone at least once a week and what if you want to get a extended life battery? the RAZR not having a replacement battery is going to be a issue in more ways then one however it still would be my second pick,

@techuniverse1 Nope the Galaxy Nexus is a very over rated device just look at all 3 phones side by side and compare the specs of each device both the RAZR and Rezound have better specs vs the GN. The only thing that is missing from both the RAZR and Rezound is ICS 4.0 but both the RAZR and Rezound are both getting it. The fact is that if I went with the GN I would have had to downgrade my hardware so I am more then willing to wait for ice cream sandwich .
