  • κύριε Φίλιπ είναι φυσιολογικό να υπάρχει αλλοίωση... είναι φυσικό μετά απο τοσους αιώνες... πάλι καλά να λέμε που διατηρούμε ακόμα κ μιλάμε τη γλώσσα που μας παρέδωσαν οι αρχαίες γενιές , έστω στην σύγχρονη αλλοιωμένη της μορφή

  • thats not the ancient greek alphabet!! its the modern one!! in ancient greek alphabet there were at least 2 more letters such as "kopa" and "digamma"...so he should have pronunced mi,ni instead of mu nu etc....

  • It's actually biblical greek, which is less complex than classical ancient greek.

  • Great video. I think you might like my website. It's called "The Greek Alphabet Made Easy". I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed your video. If you do, please "Tell a Friend!"

  • In various parts of ancient Greece the letters had different voicings. In fact in some places they didn't use some letters (e.g. in the Ionian dialect they had no Θ so they substituded it with Σ but that does not mean that it sounded like so in the Attick dialect where it existed) The infamus Erasmian pronunciation is an "aproximation" of the "Attick" not proven as accurate and not for all Greek dialects. In modern Greek all dialects are mixed with the Attick being the dominant one.

  • 2. The pronunciation has indeed changed but but some of the letter sounds did exist but rather in dialects other than the Attick. The Doric for example had more plosive Β,Δ,Γ which sounded like latin B,D,G but the Ionian (or Iolic, not sure it's been a long time since i studied that stuff) sounded softer pretty much like moder greek aspirated Β,Γ,Δ.

  • An other example that comes to mind is that of Ξ which in the Attick was inexistant and the ΧΣ combo was used. The letter was introduced by another dialect. Also Y is not an ou sound there was an ou sound already but it was neither an ee sound as in modern Greek it was something in between like the French one. Anyway i think you can do some research if interested

  • TO GAMA BUT ΓΑΜΑ
