The concept of shaving with a chemical that reduces the growth of my facial hair doesn't sound good to me. That aside, as someone else said, why would we WANT to have reduced beard growth? We *like* shaving! Heck, I'd like to *accelerate* my beard growth so I'd be able to shave more than once every three days.
Seriously, if this product really works, wouldn't it be like trying to sell baby seal fur coats at the national PETA convention to sell it to wet-shaving aficionados??
stay away from as much chemicals as you can, cancers are increasing every day and the 1st world is the worst (because we have so much chemicals in our daily life, daily consumption of cosmetics, plastic botteled beverages "bisphenol A" etc.).. Just a warning to get people to think first!
i have been using the stuff along with their post shave balm for about 4 months now and still no noticeable difference. I generally shave 4-5 times a week
So this stuff does work after all. Now if only they could come out with a product that provokes those trapped hairs to come out so that they could be shaven without a hassle.
By the way, this bsmyn0708 here. NaziTube got my account suspended :; (
@hamzie11 There is that other stuff, Tend Skin that's gotten a lot of reviews. Plus, the whole aspirin treatment. Which I haven't had much luck with myself. Although, to be fair, I've only used a couple small pills and haven't used bigger aspirin pills.
Nice video. But Bluebeard wasn't a pirate; he's a (fictional) nobleman serial killer from a 17th-century story. (Blackbeard was a pirate. And really existed.) That doesn't explain why there's a skull and crossbones on the label, of course.
I like the way that this cream sounds, so I think I might give it a try as well. So far I've only shaved with C.O. Bigelow's cream, and been pretty happy, but I've really been wanting to try another brand of cream or a soap.
Great video as usual. However, I'm nit interested in getting Decelerine anywhere near my face. Now, if they make their cream without it, I would definitely try it.
Ha ha.. Lovng the vid Mantic., esp the Pirate costume...Read quite abit about this shave cream on the web. I'm not too bothered about the beard reduction claims, but very interested to know how it lathers and its overall performance?. I use Trumpers Rose and TOBS and I can't imagine anything could be better...Keep up the good work :)
I don't think i'd want to use a product that reduces hair growth. I already have fairly thin facial hair and can't grow a mustache to safe my life. This would just make me look more like a teenager when i try to grow my hair in.
Really interesting. I'd heard from a friend that, as a DE wet shaver, I might want to try this out. Perhaps I'll give it a chance after I run through my current cream.
So Mantic....How is this stuff applied? Is it brushless? What's is smell like? And you have to post a pic of yourself shaving with that sword in the straight razor section of the forum. (you know the one I mean)
@Helveticum13 I tried but my camcorder could not get close enough to take a decent shot of the stubble without losing focus. I need to find a camera with a macro setting for later videos.
@mantic59 would you be able to update here or in your blog if there are any changes after you stop regularly using the cream? I.e. does the stubble goes back to "normal" and if so - in what time. Thanks!

I don't think I am keen on using stuff that stops your beard growing. I think it's all part of being a man.

Nope, I enjoy wet shaving too much to ever want to reduce beard growth, on the contrary I wish my beard grew faster :-)

If it really works, shouldn't neighbouring areas like sideburns or a goatee get less dense, too?
Did you experience any effects there?
