nooo what happens is that when re3 starts its before re2 ex(brad dies by zombie(nemisis)) then mid-way in re3, re2 starts ex (thats how your able to kill zombie brad) then when jill is in church, re2 end and they excaped. then the real re3 happens ex (nuke)

but if u remember after that whent he bomb go's off it still state's the time re2 happens when there still in the town even capcom said they messed up why u think the re for the wii came out it fixed the timeline a bit and then in re5 they fixed it more with the added storys and all of RE

Actually Resident Evil 3 starts before Resident Evil 2 but doesn't finish until after Resident Evil 2. Remember when Jill is in the church? She remarks that it is October 1st, and by that time Resident Evil 2 is finished. So no time mess up there.
