Read star wars books and you will know what a Sith is and you actually know the personalities of the Jedi who sit around and they do more in the books. The Sith want's revenge because they lost a war against the Jedi.

This movie was actually really good, in my top 3. Funny thing, a lot of people complain about anakin, but luke acts the same fucking way in all the originals until rotj. The cgi was dope, stop complaining about it, we all know you miss the old school look of star wars when you were 10, the cgi enhances the movie in so many different ways that lucas would have never have been able to create with puppets. plus the jedi were legit as fuck in all the prequels.

Yeah the old movies are sick as fuck, story lines are way better, better actors, they're classics, but the lack of cgi makes the movies dull imo because im 18 and i didnt get to enjoy them in the 80s, yeah they were amazing for the time but i prefer the more realistic looking star wars 1,2,3 than the old look of 4,5,6.

I agree that one of the biggest story flaws in the Prequels was not giving any exposition concerning the Sith and their history. It left the audience just grasping at assumptions from what little information Lucas gave us. The information about what Sith are is in fact in the books, but that is irrelevant given that not everyone cares or read the books. The movies should have strong characterization and storylines on their own.

I know why a lot of people complain about Matthew when he asks, "What is a Sith". Sure, most of us know from the various media that is out there on the subject but how about the casual move goer? They wouldn't know squat. Lucas could have easily put in a 5 minute little background on the Sith, why there so pissed off and want revenge.
And Sidious was either always ugly as fuck and hiding his face with an ancient Sith Concealment technique - which shows how powerful he was to keep it up all day in front of Jedi and senators for over a decade - or as others argue (and would work either way anyway) Sidious deliberately allowed his face to deform, to be part of his evidence to present to the Senate of the 'Jedi Assassination Attempt'. Do not forget, at the time people still viewed him as a grandfatherly figure they loved/trusted.
I love your reviews, but I love Star Wars more by far ^^ I just think that in all seriousness a lighter approach in needed to be fair; for example, the bit where Kenobi infiltrated the General's level, and he said 'Hello there!', should not be mistaken for a dumb thing to do. Its part of Kenobi's ongoing private war with Grievous - with them duelling all through the war. Its said his flippency seriously disheartened Grievous, Obi Wans calmness disorientating him - Grievous won duels by terror.

We also never see this friendship, we are told about it in a sixty second awkward dialog scene in an elevator, when obi wan mentions falling into a nest of dustbins.

5:53- since by this point Palpatine's screwed unless Anakin comes around, he's probably shooting the lightning to make it more likely he gains Anakin's sympathy. It's a heavy price to pay, but if Anakin does nothing he dies.
I would've also mentioned how Grievous only attacks with two lightsabers at a time despite having four at his disposal as opposed to Obi-Wans one (seriously, just block with one and kill him with the other three), how Padme refused to believe that Anakin was capable of killing children despite KNOWING FOR A FACT that Anakin had killed children on Tatooine, and how Obi-Wan and Yoda apparently never thought to present the holo-recording of Anakin as evidence before the Senate.
Continuting on from my other comment on your previous video. This movie has its problems like the shitty romance, wooden acting (save ewan mcgreggor and ian mcdirmid), plot holes, general weezie, Hayden christiansen, bad dialogue for Anikan, defiance of logic. But there are some great things are in this movie. Palpatine trying to pretend to be Anikan's friend, Palapatine manipulating the situation, some (small attempts) at friendship development between Anikan and obiwan, and the premise.
Confused Matthew: you make some valid points and bring to light various plot holes consistently. do you over analyze every movie like this?
I happen to love StarWars:-) yes some of the acting and dialogue is wooden and forced , but it is quite a thrilling tale of love and hate, good and evil, life and death.
These are better reviews than RLM. RLM has a wealth of movie making knowledge but a review should not be longer than the movie. And he could chop that length by 2/3 if we didn't have to listen to his very unfunny dry sense of humor.

This movie was actually really good, in my top 3. Funny thing, a lot of people complain about anakin, but luke acts the same fucking way in all the originals until rotj. The cgi was dope, stop complaining about it, we all know you miss the old school look of star wars when you were 10, the cgi enhances the movie in so many different ways that lucas would have never have been able to create with puppets. plus the jedi were legit as fuck in all the prequels.

@johnnyrockerfella the cgi was created to enhance the movie with a more realistic look rather than how the old movies looked. The new movies look crisp as fuck and so realistic. Yeah the old movies are sick as fuck, story lines are way better, better actors, they're classics, but the lack of cgi makes the movies dull imo because im 18 and i didnt get to enjoy them in the 80s, yeah they were amazing for the time but i prefer the more realistic looking star wars 1,2,3 than the old look of 4,5,6.

I agree that one of the biggest story flaws in the Prequels was not giving any exposition concerning the Sith and their history. It left the audience just grasping at assumptions from what little information Lucas gave us. The information about what Sith are is in fact in the books, but that is irrelevant given that not everyone cares or read the books. The movies should have strong characterization and storylines on their own.

And Sidious was either always ugly as fuck and hiding his face with an ancient Sith Concealment technique - which shows how powerful he was to keep it up all day in front of Jedi and senators for over a decade - or as others argue (and would work either way anyway) Sidious deliberately allowed his face to deform, to be part of his evidence to present to the Senate of the 'Jedi Assassination Attempt'. Do not forget, at the time people still viewed him as a grandfatherly figure they loved/trusted.

I love your reviews, but I love Star Wars more by far ^^ I just think that in all seriousness a lighter approach in needed to be fair; for example, the bit where Kenobi infiltrated the General's level, and he said 'Hello there!', should not be mistaken for a dumb thing to do. Its part of Kenobi's ongoing private war with Grievous - with them duelling all through the war. Its said his flippency seriously disheartened Grievous, Obi Wans calmness disorientating him - Grievous won duels by terror.

Dude the order 66 part was harsh, that scene was not disturbing by any means, but it was a harsh scene.

@theXramoneXpistolsXP im afraid you miss the point in these movies. anakin is portrayed in a new hope as being the embodiment of good, the fantastic friend. we see him slaughter people, despite the fact the order preaches peace. We also never see this friendship, we are told about it in a sixty second awkward dialog scene in an elevator, when obi wan mentions falling into a nest of dustbins.
The flaw in these is that they are completely devoid of emotion or development. Just crap CGI stuffing

I would've also mentioned how Grievous only attacks with two lightsabers at a time despite having four at his disposal as opposed to Obi-Wans one (seriously, just block with one and kill him with the other three), how Padme refused to believe that Anakin was capable of killing children despite KNOWING FOR A FACT that Anakin had killed children on Tatooine, and how Obi-Wan and Yoda apparently never thought to present the holo-recording of Anakin as evidence before the Senate.

Continuting on from my other comment on your previous video. This movie has its problems like the shitty romance, wooden acting (save ewan mcgreggor and ian mcdirmid), plot holes, general weezie, Hayden christiansen, bad dialogue for Anikan, defiance of logic. But there are some great things are in this movie. Confused Matthew: you make some valid points and bring to light various plot holes consistently. do you over analyze every movie like this?
I happen to love StarWars:-) yes some of the acting and dialogue is wooden and forced , but it is quite a thrilling tale of love and hate, good and evil, life and death.
That voice you make is really irritating...

These are better reviews than RLM. RLM has a wealth of movie making knowledge but a review should not be longer than the movie. And he could chop that length by 2/3 if we didn't have to listen to his very unfunny dry sense of humor.
And lose the voice.

@ShadowGunner82 Fanboy, not at all. First of all i enjoyed this movie a hell of a lot better than the first two. I believe you should be calling the kid that made this video a fanboy. This reviewer obviously had way to much time on his hands to over-analyze the star wars story. Second of all whats with your sexual attraction to you removing my balls with tweezers? I mean kinda grime.
