It was the least expensive one I could find that was made of African Blackwood. I already play the silver flute and pannywhistle, so this instrument seemed like the best of both worlds. I need lots of practice.
Lol i'm sure if you already play boehm flute, you'll pick it up really quickly, i'm sure. It is more difficult to make a sound on the irish flute than it is on silver flute. well it is to me anyway. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it?

I liked this a lot. Just bought an Irish Flute myself, but it'll be awhile before I sound this good.

About $200 from a company called Andreas Inc in Florida.
You say your teacher sells them?

Yeah he buys them from ebay and other such places and does them up to a pretty good standard and then sells them on.
