Great video! I have never been to Idyllwild. Looks like the perfect day for fun in the snow.

Was that Tahiquitz rock you pointed out in the video. I only ask because in the book "The Lonesome Gods" by Louis L'Amour the house of Tahquitz is mentioned as they pass through Indian Wells on there trek to Los Angeles.

Looks like they were having a lot of fun. It's nice to take some time out from the hustle and bustle of daily life and just enjoy the day. Your daughter's snow sculpture was looking very good. I was brought up in heavy snow country in New Hampshire but we had sleds to go down hills not the stuff you were using...they looked pretty interesting...we had drifts as high as roofs so it wasn't much fun having to shovel everyday to get out of the driveway or house...that's why I moved to the sun and fun here when I was 21...LOL

@Maskedman46 Thank you! We try to go up to the snow for this sort of thing every year. We'll go out of our way to discover new spots. It's all a part of the adventure. The best part is just doing it--the smiles, the laughter, the good times with family.

You posted this March 2, but we are wondering - did you film this in February? Beautiful place, awesome fun, but we had to laugh. We were thrilled to be in CA at that time, thus able to avoid the midwest snow, and you & your fam were delighting in snow. You are so right. CA = the blessing of having both worlds.
