Is it just me or does this look like it is pus coming out of the ear? It looks like a really bad ear infection. I wonder if the bird was able to hear after. Ear, nose and throat are all connected in humans... so if it's a sinus infection.... wouldn't that mean that the ear is infected?

Man. I have a parrot and I hope this never happens to her. I've had her for over 20 years and she's probably 23-24 years old. The surgery looks so awful -- it's good to hear the bird recovered. I was horrified to see the stuff being literally scooped out of the bird vs. drainage. Wow.
