  • too bad i just read a article about somebody else mixing his shock value album

  • lay off the cocaine timbaland

  • @gruponemesis His cocaine is his music. He said it on his Album " I don't Drink or Smoke thats why I love my body"

U should of said, lay off the fatty foods!

  • @SuperiorWare lmfao...point taken!

Seems like hes on something though!....

oh well...the guy makes sick music none the less

  • @gruponemesis lol hit the nail on the head

  • @gruponemesis really

  • @gruponemesis <<<<<HATER!!!

  • @jeremyf001 not really i like ths cat alot....i also LOVE SSL

  • white shirt black brotha working for the man, most of them white boys ripped of artists too

  • keep pressing 3 on your keyboard, this is what I am like when I hear his music :D

  • @SoulcheckAudio That's exactly my point, brand endorsement.

  • Is this guy a dullard? He's no poet, that's for sure.

  • @cmartez "Non-arab sample hits". Maybe you should also go and figure out what the fuck a sample is. Taking the sound of a kick drum from a composition is a sample. But remaking a full musical composition, with different instruments, and claiming it your own, is stealing. Here is a little music ed for YOU my friend. If both (Timbo's and the original Arab) compositions were transcribed on a musical staff they would be nearly identical, in a court of law, that's copyright infringement.

  • @twitchmassacres Look rookie i know what copyright infringement is and i also know about basic music stats. So...What kind of royalties are you getting? How many Billboard Top 100 hits do you have? How many of your hit do i know? Songs published???? Huh? I mean i just happened to come by this video because i'm a fan of Timbos but when i saw you're ludicrous comments i couldn't help keep quite. WHo are you?

  • @cmartez What is this "how many Top 100" hits do you have?. Making music has much to do also with personal integrity, honesty and "true" creativity for which you yourself are most content. It's not about making music to appease the masses that have little interest in quality and a creation of your "own" material. The fact that you said the aforementioned shows where your loyalty lies and how "unprofessional" you truly are.

  • @cmartez You are the typical American idiot that has no grasp of the music that has encompassed the "world" in the last 30 years. So take your arrogant conceited attitude (the same you've learned from Timbaland) and take a walk in the park there sunshine.

  • @twitchmassacres Nevertheless, i'm done arguing over the internet. It accomplishes nothing. By the way the track on your page sounds alright.

  • @cmartez Thanks, not my track, that's my kid and his girl's sister. But I'll let them know.

  • @cmartez He stole music, How many? It doesn't matter, it's stealing, there is nothing else to it. I'm not saying he isn't a good producer, I'm simply stating a lot of people don't like him because of that. Now I understand you being a fan of his music, but right now you're just acting like a little tour bus chasing groupie, so grow the fuck up and don't be trying to educate people here boy, specially those who already made it. You're still a nobody. Make it out the hood first, then address me.

  • @cmartez This is just same old Timbo racking in some money from promoting gear he does not actually use, such as his marketing for the Open Labs Neko, he actually uses Access on his productions. If you're wondering how I'm qualified to make such assessments just take a look at my videos. The tooth fairy didn't pay for that Lambo, the biz did.

  • @twitchmassacres please. I checked out you page and i see nothing the qualifies you to make any assessment about Timbo music. First of all a 'producers mix' is exactly what it is.. his mix. Of course he has a mix engineer why wouldn't he. The mix engineer only finalizes what the producer has already laid out. Name one real producer who doesn't mix prior to mastering. I'll wait...

  • @cmartez Kid, figure out what the fuck mixing is before you try to teach me a single thing about it. Here is a hint, it's a lot more than just moving a fader on a board. I'm not here trying to discredit Timbaland, I have no business doing that, just as you have no business riding his dick so hard and playing make-believe attorney for him.

  • @twitchmassacres First of all 38yrs old is not a kid and I've been doing music for over 12 years so i definitely know what mixing is. I dont have a degree in music but trust me i know more than enough about it. You're the one on here talking trash about a successful multi millionaire. How about you make a few platinum hits then maybe somebody will care about what you have to say. Until then leave the music to the professionals.

  • @cmartez For over 12 years, so you mean "12 years". You came into the music scene when it was easy to make music not when it was hard and when you had a grasp of how difficult it used to be and therein through Europe the computing and electronic music scene of the time that Timbaland has borrowed heavily from and blatantly stole. You are no expert, you are a hack.

  • I CANT BELIVE THAT THIS MOTHERFUCKER SINGS IN HIS SONGS WITH THIS NASTY VOICE HAAAAAAA

  • Yeah right Timbo doesn't mix!!? Please... make sure you idiots dont comment again!! You probably think a "beat maker" is a producer.lol Stick to youtube and and leave the multi platinum millionaire producers alone.

  • @cmartez Actually, I can testify to that. Timbaland does not mix. Mix engineers such as Jimmy Douglass are usually the ones in charge of the mixdowns on his projects. He might turn some knobs here and there at home while preparing a beat but none of his mixing makes it onto the finished product.

  • SHOCK VALUE IS BEST ALBUM EVER!!!!!!!!! 1 and 2, who agrees?

  • Lol why would they take this video recording and make somethin of it haha ... he is slightly incoherent...

  • Timbo be poppin vics or norcos haha raspy ass voice noddin in and out lol

  • As soon as we al make our first million dollar hit....we'll all go out and get one.

For any Joe that that thinks they need this for there studio....think again. Anything out now sounds just as good as this board. You just need to know how to use what you have in order to achieve the same sound.

  • It's not what you buy, but how you use it.

  • i was like ...wow...

  • for timberlands productions this console is pure overkill

  • lol..your all fuckin stupid hating on kats and not knowing shit..the job of the producer is to know evey aspect of the studio from patching and setting mics to advanced mixing. not to mention major shit like managing studio time and money spent..and oh ya lol, the most well know part of being the producer getting the beat and being responsible for the sound of the track.

  • Timbaland is scared to FLY!!!

  • @nevus really? i guess he's human after all...

  • i want know what this guy smokes cause it looks like a great high

  • Comment removed

  • i think he was sick. there's another interview i just saw him with the sniffles, maybe this was recorded during the same week.

  • i dnt think this guy is high, coz every intavu he tlk lyk ths. or maybe he high al the tym

  • he as high as fuck, but in most videos i see him as high as fuck,

  • Don't hate him.

  • it is a marketing scheme...i agree drillabeats

  • Comment removed

  • Why would he use a SSL matrix when he can use a SSL 9000, or any better console for that matter ? he doesn't even have to to buy any gear, He gets it free for marketing it...

  • Why would he use a SSL matrix when he can use a SSL 9000, or any better console for that matter ? he doesn't even have to to buy any gear, He gets it free for marketing it.

  • @harvestsoulfly The SSL 9000 can't fit in his bus.

  • That dude is tired.........Big Party the night before lol

  • ...the price is to high for only routing gear like this...nothing super special in it ! ! !

  • $22,000 retail ... its only for the Timbaland's Dr. dre's , Swiss Beats Ect.

  • @JSprayaEntertainment That piece of shit is 22k???? wtf its just a fader with input...

  • He does it all fool.. He gotta have some sense of mixing & engineering fool!

  • They had to do some serious editing on this video. If this guy can afford a private jet. why not buy a SSL duality?

  • shame he's black

  • @DonBello Im white thats just wrong to discriminate against someones colour

  • damn his voice :D

  • when reviewing the SSL, put a mixing engineer. not a producer.

  • i think timbaland is doesnt like to preform before camaras becaus in every video he looks nerveus

  • HE IS SICK. THE MAN OBVIOUSLY HAS A COLD.

  • i think his heart rates fucked up or something.

  • Timbaland is a God ! x

  • is it me or does he seem high

  • He probably earned a million bucks for that lil interview!!! I luv timbo and I luv SSL as aconsole as well!!! hes high as hell though

  • BAHAHAHAHA....."it's the best, it is the best"....lol, timbo it's okay playa...it's their product and they forced you to say things that didn't mean anything to you...and it was probably way too early for you to start thinking as well....lol

  • it brings the... UH! HAHA!

  • hes blazed as fuck

  • HIS VOICE :0 HAHA

  • looks so much like my friend!!!!!whos 13......

  • 22,750.00 new.... if only I could...

  • @dilliot2k Yo mixes r good considering you didn't shell out a Benz on a mixing board.

  • @PadroPadro22 Thanks, I think it more of less practice.

  • you just track out your beat n run it threw the matrix

  • Timbaland always thinks he's the first to have something, and that he has the most tones and drum sounds and all that. He makes me sick. Why would he think he's the first person to have the SSL Matrix??? Timbaland doesn't even mix, hes a producer. This is just a marketing scheme.

  • @drillabeats shut the fuck up, hattin ass bitches like u make me sick, if u dont like him then dont respond u dum fuck. damn go find a friend go to the edge of a mountian and just jump OK!!!.

  • @BigCMusic I knew some fool like you would respond. U're a dick rider who knows nothing. When was the last time that Timbaland mixed something??? I am a die hard Timbaland fan I own every single album he has released, NO BOOTLEG. What does Timbaland mix that SSL would give him a console 1st??? Does that make sense?? Timbaland's engineers are Jimmy, Lago and Demo. Tim doesn't mix. Any track you see with tim in the mix credits also has Jimmy Douglas.

  • @drillabeats Im with you on that one brother. Even his songs man they all sound the same these days there no song that makes me say "wow who produced that song"?

  • @drillabeats:

yeah! FUCK Timbaland! Who would want his career? Aliyah's first album sold 15 million copies alone. Who knows how many millions of record sales he's responsible for?

    yeah, fuck him.

  • @fooloof

Don't read me wrong ppl. Timbaland is a producer. I rate him #1 in that area. All I'm saying is, companies give products to professionals who primarily use that type of product. In this case it would be a mix or recording engineer which timbaland is not and never was.

  • @drillabeats dude... audio mixing is not rocket science... this dude's been in the game for close to two decades... and he's been around the best of the best studio engineers... that's enough time to pick up a lot... and he does have an ear for music anyways... so why would you think he doesn't mix? He does preliminary mixes before shipping it out to a professional... I know he can be cocky sometimes... and I know this is part marketing ploy, but HE knows how to mix.

  • @experiment0003 it's not rocket science, my thing is,TIMBALAND does not mix. Of course he has an ear for music, of course he has the know how- he's one of the best producers ever. But in this field, they are producers>mixers>master engineers. When these people get down to work it's do your job pass it off to the next person. Timbaland has engineers that mix for him there was Jimmy, Demacio, and Ms Lago, If anything the mix engineers should be in the interview as well.

  • @drillabeats I agree with you!

But many times before a track makes it to the mixing engineer, a substantial amount of mixing would already have been done. The mixer only then swaps plug-ins for hardware unit and does further processes like automation, analog summing, and tape saturation. Matter of fact, during the beat making process, some mixing is done to get the levels right.

So it's believable that TImbo knows a little mixing... now if it were mastering, you'd be COMPLETELY right!

  • @experiment0003 I know that a producer- such as timbaland- having been through the ropes would know WAY more about mixing than most would, I just think that an actual mix engineer should have gotten the spot or even if Tim mentioned how a song sounds when his engineer mixes on an SSL. How would it look if a mix engineer was sitting talking about an MPC or an Ensoniq ASR 10, or a Triton-yes he/she may be involved, however they are more 'involved' people.

  • @drillabeats once again, I agree with you!

  • @drillabeats yes it is i hate shit like this but iam a fan of his work

  • @drillabeats lol thats what a producer does... he mixes... ofcourse its not a marketing scheme haha..

  • @drillabeats its a plus for producer to know how to mix. mixing pretty much goes hand to hand with producing, hence why its better for a person be capable of doing both.

  • @drillabeats

    TImbaland is the best producer!

  • @DegtyarenkoVladislav

Timbaland is a joke of a producer.

If you think, he'd be the best (or even a good) producer, you have never even heard good music.

    Poor guy ...

  • @uHuTNO

As for me, Tim's music is really professional. I like it!

I write Hip-Hop (Pop Rock) music using FL Studio and Reason.

I'm guru of FL Studio. I know "mastering & mixering".

My lyric melodies is good. I can produce my songs!

Timbaland gave me the abilities. Every time I listen to his music I always think about something new in music, life...

DJ Timmy T is my idol! Why do people hate Timbaland? Maybe I can't understand some reasons?... Maybe I don't know some things...

  • @DegtyarenkoVladislav What the fuck is "mixering"? You gotta be joking right? And "FL Studio Guru"? You have to upgrade your DAW man. Anyways, most people's problem with Timbo is that many of his most successful beats are actually stolen from old Arab composers, sadly in ways that are EXTREMELY OBVIOUS. I believe there are some videos on this site with examples.

  • @twitchmassacres You're funny!! I'll educate you a little. Non Arab sample hits from Timbo: Try again- Say something- If we ever meet again- Scream- Apologize- One in a million- The way i are- Say it right- Are you that somebody- Promiscuous- Give it to me- Carry out- Cry me a river- Whats my name- Sock It 2 Me- Oops- Pony- So anxious- None Of Ur Friends Business and Deliverance. Just to name a few. About 200,000,000 more hits than you got.

  • @cmartez TELL EM!!LOL

  • @cmartez almost all of these tracks are not produced by timbaland u fool.u aint know anythin

  • @Autosmein Really.. which ones rookie?

  • @Autosmein Really.. which ones rookie?

  • @cmartez try again and are you that somebody these are prod by timbo. If u are a producers like timbaland are more like a film directors.Somebody do some melodies drums etc. and timbaland only have to say.One more percussion here and there, transitions etc...and cut.I dont say timbaland is not a super producer, coz he is and hes doin it fantastic, but what ure sayin is not true.No offense

  • @twitchmassacres "many of his most successful beats are actually stolen from old Arab composers" - really??

    hmmm....

  • @DegtyarenkoVladislav Yes, really. Look for "Timbaland steals Arab music" on YouTube. The guy has also many hits that he has produced by his own merit so people can't say he isn't talented, but he has stolen in the past.

  • @twitchmassacres its called "sampling" and its legal. How many of kanye west beats are not sampled??? Its stealin only if Timbaland didn't pay for it, and i know we not talkin about payin for it, we talkin about usin the concept.I sample, and findin that one song,to find that one spot that makes the beat hot.....its either luck or focus, especially it its arabic music that u dont listen to everyday

  • @PlaysGameboytv no sampling is not legal. You can use samples or covers when you are performing on stage BUT if you publish your stuff ( on CD,MP3,DVD....) then you have to ask the owner of the material/song if you can use it. And if he gives you the ok then there is another problem, because you have to share the income of the sales and the owner gets the most of it Believe me I got an BA Degree in audio-engineering.

  • @PlaysGameboytv Sampling is taking an element from a song, for example, the SOUND OF a snare, or base drum, vocal in order to create a entirely new piece of music, meaning that when written in musical notation, no parts are completely identical or even similar. In the case of songs like "Big Pimpin", "Don't Know What To Tell Ya", "More Than a Woman", etc. the music was entirely identical to the Arab versions when written down, the only difference being the choice of instruments.

  • @twitchmassacres Am a producer i know what samplin is(watch my video "the art of story telling)... i was jus wonderin, so what does that say about kanye west(diamonds), j.cole(she loves me not), just blaze(wichita), gym class heroes(cupids choke hold), cool and dre(say i), dr.dre(next episode), noID(d.o.a)? did they all steal those songs? And i jus mentioned the biggest hiphop producers up there, these are people that will even put 4-8 bars straight from one song to theirs.

  • @PlaysGameboytv Most of the songs you have mentioned, maybe all of them (can't say for sure cause I have not checked) were cleared because they pay out royalties, thats the case with NoID's track, Gym Class Heroes, and Dre. And yet those are again SAMPLES, not recreations of the other artists works. Timbaland's track would have never cleared as "sampled" with a publisher because it's an exact copy of the original just with different instrumentation.

  • @PlaysGameboytv What he could have tried was to pass it as a remix and payed royalties, but then again that wouldn't have made him look as good as making people believe it was his original composition like he did, plus seeing as how most of these Arab artist do not properly copyright their work, either for lack of knowledge, access, or legislation in their country, he mostly got away with the rip off. Again, Timbo is immensely talented, albeit this past situation.

  • @twitchmassacres

    this is the 2000-2004 years.

But, now, does Timbaland steal arabic samples on his Shock Value series?

I can't reply at this question.

    Do you can?))

  • @drillabeats Im pretty sure If you're gonna produce, might as well learn how to mix..Especially if you're making as much money as Timbaland is

  • he's high as a mothafucka

  • @eiffeduden jajajajaja yes its like he it wos high jajajaaja

  • @eiffeduden and he fly as a mothafucka...

  • Comment removed

  • @eiffeduden Plumb to the center! And I love him for that too :)

  • @eiffeduden what the hell makes u think hes high u fool!

  • @stussyboys If you've ever smoked weed. u know hes high.

  • @ArniieeCDJ er yeah hes so high its so obvious isnt it lol u crack me up jutsbecause hes a record producer and hes slightly tired in an interveiw hes has to be high doesnt he hahah u sad twat lol

  • @stussyboys Slightly tired? open your eyes you tallywacker.

  • @stussyboys Man look at him. Mark.

  • @eiffeduden yeah but that board is fire!

  • @eiffeduden yes..... as a muthafucka!!! LOL!!!

  • whats it with the voice fat man !!

  • uh?

  • Timbo uses a Neve VR72 in his studio in Virginia Beach. Niceeeee!

  • what interface can go with the ssl aws?

  • i think he had a long night...what a voice^^

  • All yall are dumb ass hell. The purpose of the Video is to sell the product. Why in the hell would SSL interview someone to talk bad about the product. Other companies do, however make products to compete with SSL but its all about what you like to work with and the sound it produce. Older producers tend to like older companies and older equipment, while younger producers tend to go "cheaper" only because they have never worked with the older vintage equipment and companies. Love Music

  • yeah...but in fairness...I own the SSL Duende and it's really good. SSL makes good stuff, but it comes with a price.

But any young aspiring producers should not aim for such equipment at all. I know a VERY GOOD producer who works with figgin' FRUITY LOOPS.....It's becoming a good product...

  • what are you talking about. do you know what an SSL MATRIX is? Its the mix board. Its not a beat maker like logic, reason or anything. it even shows it in the video lol.

  • @croydonstars I'm just pointing out you don't need all the fancy stuff, that's all :)

  • FAT BITCH

  • This is the guy everyone is talking about??? Seriously??? I've only heard of him, and haven't seen his fat ugly face until now.

  • ..timbo id sounding lyk he stabbed 10 days sleep...lol!

  • Is he high?
