Kelly Clarkson sings this song like no other, to most certainly include Reba McEntire, who doesn't even come close to Kelly as a performer/singing artist. "Because of You" is Kelly's song and should have stayed that way. Reba's cold, jerky version of "Because of You" leaves one wanting to run to the safe side of the sidewalk.

Actually Kelly wrote all the lyrics, the other two (Ben Moody and David Hodges) wrote the music (instrumentals, melody, etc.)

And for your information, she wrote the lyrics when she was 16.

Kelly Clarkson wrote this song when she was 16 years old! She recorded it for her second album "Breakaway". Reba loved the song so much, she asked Kelly if they could record it together for her "Duets" album. They are good friends and are also huge fans of one another. =)

Yeah she does look great. She made a deal in fun with Ronnie Dunn, he'd sing on Duets if she wore her Wrangler jeans and boots on stage, she was supposed to wear her rodeo buckle too. She's a jeans and boots gal when she's not working anyway so she's probably loving being comfortable out there. A 2W2V reviewer tried to say Reba is being influenced by Kelly and hence the jeans, if Reba shows up barefoot in skintight overlength trousers and hops about the stage like a rabbit I'll scream:)

I could swear I had seen Reba start wearing these kinds of clothes on tour before she teamed up with Kelly. No matter - Reba is a gorgeous woman and she looks good in pretty much anything.

Yea she was wearing the jeans way before Kelly. She was already wearing pretty casual gear on stage way back in 2004, she had those black jeans with the bling on the legs. I love them. It was in an interview with Ronnie Dunn that he said he was the reason for the blue jeans. There's a heap of youtube video with Reba wearing jeans long before the 2W2V tour.

Even if the original becomes friend with another, the original writer, holds the copyrights, the decisions to be made about MONEY from the the copies made.
