Hellow i just purchased a blofeld and i am running off of logic. now i have my midi out of my sound card to the midi in of the blofeld as well as the stereo outs going to inputs 1 and 2 of my sound card. The problem is i cannot get any sound to come out of my blofeld i have a midi track made set to ch 1 and a audio track on stereo set to ch 1 and 2 with the "I" selected , still cannot get sound yet the midi light on the Blofeld lights up every time i hit a key on my midi keyboard. What do i do?
Is it possible to attach a mic to the usb port o this. i was so set on gettin a microkorg but want this now, but i want a vocoder mic like the microkorg. is this at all possible and how? anyone??? i want to play on the streets but also have a voice.
well if there are wavetables and lfo's and envelope's , it's only a matter of assigning these to the wavetable ..so that's basic wavesequencing ..Maybe it doesn't have a dedicated knob to scroll through the wavetable
But I doubt that ...nice machine I consider buying one or a yamaha fs1r
well, all the wavetables at least, is doesn't have all the features the microwave had that could only work with waves. Just think of them as a whole set of other oscillator shapes instead. I don't know if you can do wave sequencing though! that'd be awesome!
i am considering the blofeld over the virus ti snow. I wanted to see the interface in action - it looks great! Your video is exactly how i come up with sounds and the menu's seemed perfect. Thanks!
redmcmannus : thanks for the comment.i found the menu system kinda easy actually,if you know what you're doing and what you want to do you'll get used to it really quickly.
Hey, thanks for making the vid man, finally a video that shows what the blofeld can actually do. One question, how long did it take you to get used to using the menu system to access the parameters? Is it difficult?
I have to agree with kKryptum here, the navigation system is a breeze. There people who bitch about how many knobs the need, but really in a complex synth like blofeld it does not matter if you have 5 or 500 knobs because you are going to move step by step if you want to create sounds. More knobs of course are more useful if you play live though. In that case use BCR200 it costs 130 an offers 32 knobs for almost 200 parameters.
so you can midi control every function on this thing with the 32 knobs?
thats amazing, if they built that into the machine it would coast like $3000 this makes me want to get only the desktop versions of synths and just buy a whole tabletops worth omidi knobs to control them all lol
Yes you can , but BCR can go even further cause it supports Sysex Also for completlty controlling your DAW of choice , so you can pretty much control everything.
It helps also that Wladorf Blofled is completely controllable by midi , every single function.

Waldorf told me that it's possible to put your own home-made wavetables into the blofeld. But it's not that easy... Yet

The best sounds come from messing around with your eyes closed. Or just seeing how far you can push a machine.

so there is actually a complete waldorf microwave inside the blofeld ?

@kKryptum
and what if this were someones first synth and journey into sound?
A longe rlearning curve I am sure right, maybe not the best synth to start out with? The sound is really what im looking for though
