  • @highfidelity1989 you took the comment out my mouth! this beat makes me cry........

  • @razpro One of my favs. I share your passion. I feel so sorry for the Dilla fans whom haven't experienced Jay Dee.

  • Anyone know what sample was used in this beat? if any?

  • @Akaimayn its just some gorgeous chords, man. sounds like filtered piano to me, but that's the easiest of the three parts to recreate...can't beat that rhythm

  • @itsthejazzkid Yeah, think your right, prolly keyboard.I know dilla used keyboard a little in his beats, with no "samples" the rhythm is immense

  • babumpbabump...babumpbabump...babumpbabump...

    feels so good...

  • OMG! ...one guy -just wouldn't coast *(--seems that there's always someone out there...who just prefer to go at it: --the HARD way...).

*Could it be... -that DILLA called it "Coastin"... --to speak of...MOTIVATION --because, (to me)...it's -pure 'trooper' music...

...it seems to say (to me) --move throught it!... or...push -right through it [NEVER QUIT]!!!...

  • STRAIGHT UP!! I have a lot of fav producers, but NOBODY'S beats invoke so much emotion in me than Dilla's. I could get happy or sad, amped or chill, light up a fat one or just think about things to his beats. So while I salute cats like Pete, Preem, 9th, Havoc, Alchemist, Aguillar, BR Gunna, Black Milk and so on, Dilla's beats just take me to my destination all the damn time. • this track and thinking about my girl....what could be better!

  • Dilla's basslines are the illest i've ever heard.

I wish i knew that sample though.

  • If you watch the documentary that just came out on Dilla, Pete Rock breaks down the kings of hip hop producers best. He basically says each time the torch is passed its the King is reborn and better. Pete Rock later goes on to say that Dilla used his influence to take his talent to a whole different galaxy lol. Words from Pete Rock himself who many say is the best all time along with Dilla and Premo. But honestly, Pete Rock, Dilla, and DJ Premier each had their own style

  • I want to be buried to this song. Forever Dilla

  • All time fav producers 1.Dilla 2.9th Wonder 3.Hi-Tek 4.Jus Blaze 5.Black Milk

  • J dilla my all time fav producer

  • this was made on his deathbed.

just because he doesnt like it, doesnt mean he cant anaylze it.

even though music is almost 100% subjective, you have to strive to understand it as objectively as possible. just saying some people dont understand it and saying that youre one of the few/several people that do doesnt explain anything.

being an underground hip hop artist in the 00s means that if youre wellknown in hip hop, your probably wellknown to music fans, which is true.

  • Loveeeee your music dilla r.i.p

  • Lol. Nigga, saying people don't understand it is a generic ass retort that I can say for anything. For example, Why don't you like lynching people for fun? Some people just don't understand it. And Lol @ Dilla being underground. Elitist hip hop fag is trying to be pretentious. LOL!

  • @notoriouslybigwang its crazy how ppl like u exist..ur not even a hater..ur SCUM...we dont pay u no mind tho...everyone knows at the end of the day Dilla is G.O.A.T.

  • J dilla is considered underground because he didnt have his name on the mainstream. I mean, he didnt want any credit when janet won a award for her got till its gone track. Any anyone that doesnt like j dilla can bite a dick because this dude made powerful ass music, some people just dont understand it

  • jesus this wasn't done on his deathbed...wtf peoples talkin about?

  • LOL, what the fuck do you mean noob? I don't like J Dilla, and I don't listen to J Dilla. Jesus, YouTubers are the lowest of the low, the dirt of the dirt, the proletariat of the proletariat. Cot damn, this beat fucking sucks.

  • @notoriouslybigwang well if u dont like him then u dont like him. just dont come on the page sayin nonsense under the comments. some ppl actually appreciate this stuff...

  • so if you don't like this kind of music, why u listen to it? and why you don't make your own music and be happy for the rest of your life?

Hating over Youtube is the most easist thing to do in the world

  • lolololol. First of all - How the hell would you say that he listens to mainstream even though he said Raspberry Fields (Cannibal Ox) sucks? J Dilla can be considered mainstream. He's worked with mainstream artists - Common, Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, etc. Your ignorance is funnnayyyyy.

  • LMAO. As insensitive as it seems, being on your deathbed still isn't an excuse for a bad beat. Sorry. Also, LMAO @ real hip hop heads. Icanseeyourelitism, bro. Are you mad 'cause J Dilla's tombstone has more swag than what lies beneath it?

  • @notoriouslybigwang

I can't believe you exist. You criticize another's so called "elitism" for defending their favorite music and then say "proletariat of the proletariat"..... How are you going to type J Dilla in your search bar and then insult him (a dead musical prodigy) referencing his grave and then say that youtubers are the lowest of the low(u had better mean just yourself and the alike) How dare you, you scum. don't ever use the term swag and J Dilla in the same sentence. eat a dick

  • how can you listen to shit like this and say j dilla is overrated... I would say I'm amazed but that'd be a lie when I've been on the internet reading shit like that from talentless, tasteless mother fuckers for over a decade.

  • @chode095...do you -at all realize...just how massively stupid --you sound?!!!...

    Question: ...are U MAD?!!!...

  • @chode095...what you apparently DO NOT understand about DILLA...is the fact that...

1.) This is NOT a [strictly] bass laden track.

    &

2.) DILLA emerged in Hip-Hop as a musical prodigy who PRODUCED music --from as early as 14years old!...performed his last show --wheelchair bound!!... & despite the ravages of the Lupis Disease he suffered from... -[he] STILL managed to release...a FULL-LENGTH ALBUM --*known to [REAL] Hip-Hop Headz as "DONUTS"... --ON HIS DEATHBED!!!...& is recognized WORLDWIDE!

  • LOL. I have one thing to say. U MAD?

  • Dilla wasnt underrated, he just wasn't big like everyone else

  • dilla being underrated is probably the biggest lie ever told in the history of time

  • @chode095 seems like someone has a few extra chromosomes

  • lol @ people. would it be better if i just went ahead and said that Dilla is the most overrated producer of all time? kthx

  • @chode095 underrated

  • @chode095

You can suck every dick on this planet. Pray for better ears, dumbfukk.
