maybe, they do it on long grass and hairy carpets? Because they're fluffly and warm, and they can 'sink' a bit in it with their paws, surrounded by warmth? (but I don't know). I'd love to have a fawn pug, my favorite breed, love their barks, head tilts, and wrinkles. But never had a dog before. But one day i'll be a good boss of a pug, saved from a pet shelter.

Now that's funny. My puggie does nearly the same thing, but instead let's his bottom just drag along as he pulls himself. Sort of a protest to "If you won't rub my belly, I'll find a way to get it done".
