  • The speed is 450 FPM, and it's bottom drive, since it's louder at the lower floors.

  • 1. It's called bottom drive traction, and there are others on YouTube.

    2. How do you know this is bottom drive? They aren't in widespread use anymore, and they haven't really ever been.

  • @SchindlerHaughton : I am not sure if you think this is bottom drive, for me it is. If not, what type of traction? Geared? Gearless? MRL? I think bottom drive at 470 FPM.

  • @elevatorgeek762 This is probably geared. I highly doubt this is bottom drive.

  • @SchindlerHaughton : GEN2 Elevator?

  • @elevatorgeek762 No, Gen2 is MRL. This is probably Elevonic 401.

  • @elevatorgeek762 Gen2 comes only in MRL. Otis geared tractions are 2000T

  • @cubsrule2040 : Also Geared traction might come in 211T.

  • @elevatorgeek762 There is no such thing as a 211T. It's just 211.

  • @cubsrule2040 2000 is european only...

  • @SchindlerHaughton Actually bottom-drive traction can be geared.

  • @cubsrule2040 I know. I was saying that this is a conventional geared traction elevator.
