I have done the "21's" before but three sets of 5 rather than 7 - its a good exercise can really feel it burn.
Im not sure about hammer curls as I see so many people do them differently. To be honest I thought you need to be more still so as to not swing or move your back, obviously its hard not to move your back a little bit as it becomes harder.
i dont have 2 weights. i have the bar with weights. but only one weight. with the hammers can i do it on each arm with one weight? and how long until you would start to see results ? could you do it everyday? wouuld you get more results doin it everyday?
@addytwohander minimum 3 days rest before hitting a certain muscle group, remember you grow during recovery not during the exercise, depending on your diet and sleeping patterns you should see a noticeable difference within a few weeks (if you haven't been previously training) which by the sound of your comment you haven't, good luck
Mate, this is a top vid great info and I'm getting the results from the tips and techniques you give, one of the only guys I trust on YouTube for workouts, cheers mate :)
@jamesw20111 Hi James, thanks for the comments its much appreciated, Im goinmg to start doing a lot more videos, as I have been concentrating on the supplement range, so now thats going I can get back to these
All I would say is for hammer curals have the dumbells be atleast 5 pounds less. The workout will not nearly be as affective as in if you do it more properrly
Hey paul, the weights you have on your curling bar, where did you get them? I have them at my local gym, can't seem to find them anywhere online though?
You're really talented at talking to the camera in that you make the viewer actually interested in what you're doing, instead of a lot of other workout videos where you can tell the trainer is in love with themselves. Great video.
@DiveBum18 Hi Bro, thanks for that, I try to love myself but too damn ugly, Ive been busy running my supplements business but will start doing more videos next week, going to start doing a 3/4 and 5 day split routine, with machines and dumbells, or is there anything you want to see
@Allmaxuk Hey man no problem I mean what i say(: and I just have one question....what supplements do you take? I'm 18 years old and i've been bodybuilding for about five years and I'm somewhat happy with where I'm at for my age. I still have a ton of work to do, I'm only about 165lbs but close to no body fat and my lifts are high for my weight. However I'm looking for that extra 'punch', you know? and this video is my new punch, but do you recommend any specific supplements?
@rueboyHSV that is true except after training when yopu have broken the protein down and your body is crying out for it to be relaced, you have a golden window of 45 minutes to get it in your system.
@schemelz it is but you come to a point where you have to use body movement to get the last few reps out, its called cheating, but only at the end of a heavy set. Strict form is prefered but not always possible
Did this bicep workout 2 days ago and my arms are in a world of pain! This is the best routine I've done in ages. Kiss goodbye to that plateau! Thanks :)
@mrjonbarker182 Just remember that plateaus are caused mainly by not changing the routine, the idea is to shock the body so follow this for about 6 weeks max then change it, every 6 weeks, can be subtle changes, reps, weight etc but always needs to be progressive.
If you dont mind i want to point out some errors u made,
1- In your 21's, on your first 7 reps when u go halfway up and then down, on your last rep, i noticed you went down andthen all the way up, to start the 7 reps on your top bicep. That is wrong. On your last rep on the first 7 reps, when u hit the 7th rep by going up, you shouldn't go back down, you should go straight up, and then down halfway and start working the top bicep
2- I'm not sure but you were using ur back a lot, straight back!
@iTactiics Hi there, theres no scientific either way to be fair the reason I do it this way is so that you fatigue the tendons ie do the halfs first and then when you are totally shot you do the full movement as its more difficult so putting most starin the belly of the muscle so increasing bloodflow, also movement, ipload your or anyone elses vidio who has a decent weight on and doesnt move, itsd not possible.
@Allmaxuk , ahhh i see. thanks for replying. your one of the very few people who make workout videos who replied to my comment which i think is very sad since people make workout vids to help people and they dont even reply to their comments haha. and thanks for a reasonable explanation i just wanted to know if you knew what you were doing or if you were making a mistake. have u got a tricep workout? if you dont could you please make one? thanks :)
@Allmaxuk , i cant send that link because it doesnt allow me to but type in the youtube search bar, BrandonCarterTV tricep/bicep workout and look for a video which is 6:16 mins long !
he doesnt arch his back at all while doing his bicep :)
for some reason everytime i do bicep exersises i never seem to get the afterburn effect after my workout it only burns while im doing the exersise could anyone help me with this problem ?
@fshfrghedht64 What you are refering to is DOMS delayed onset muscle sorness, if you keep doing the same routine you will not get this as your body adpats and after a while will not react to the stimulus hence you change your routine everu 6-8 weeks, so try this for the next 6 weeks Seated Preacher Curls Rope Curls, Standing Barbell Curl, Seated Dumbbell Curls, Dumbbell Concentration Curls
@Allmaxuk heyyy mate im just letting you kno that i done all them exerises you said and now i feel the saw bit in my bicep everytime i move my arm out i can feel the burn but how many times a week would you recoment that i do this bicep routine and i go to the gym monday wensday and fridays
@fshfrghedht64 DO THEM ONCE A WEEK BUT EVERY 4-6 WEEKS CHANGE THE ROUITNE, MIGHT BE USE ALL DUMBBELLS, THEN ALL MACHINES, WIDE GRIP THEN NARROW, GRIP ETC ETC, TRAINING IS ALL ABOUT KNOWLEDGE AND PREGRESSIONS
@fshfrghedht64 You can find more advice and all my supplements on my main site dinosaurnutrition(dot)com or email from the website as well, all free UK postage and supplements will make a massive difference
@Allmaxuk ahhh allright thanks ill make sure i check that out the only thing is i do use a protein powder atm im using promax for lean mussle growth but im reli worried about using it cause i hear alot of people on youtube saying that theres loads of stuff init thats bad for ur kidneys etc and to be fair i do get a fair amount of carbs and protein in my diet anyway cause i dont reli wanna overload to much on protein lol
@TheLordstrider you will always get movement, and if you train properly your back will be fine as it will be nice and strong, but check out the other bicep videos where I isolate it.
@Allmaxuk oh i see well thank you for the advice just a small question ...
when i train my biceps when i cant lift any more my right hand get a numb feeling and i get this needles feeling in my palm is this normal i normaly stop right away when i get that feeling should i just go thought it ?
@TheLordstrider hi there, it could be something as simple as lack of fluid (water) and salt in your diet, so could be onset of cramp, however its not norml and if you are stopping is affecting training so get it checked out at the doctors immediately for peace of mind if nothing else.
I want to test this routine out because I've had a lot more success with triceps than biceps over the years. i was just wondering if this routine is just designed to be done once all the way through. Or Several times.
@StarStormer20 Hi there, you can do 3 sets with this routine, but is best done straight after chest, so i wouls split it up chest biceps, back triceps, legs and shoulders.

wow your videos are very helpful...recently I've been trying to find some good workouts for me. @markftc1140 Thanks for the compliment, remember to take at least 3 shakes a day, 1 scoop mid morning, 1 scoop before training and 2 scoops withjin 45 minutes after training as this is the most important one, try adding Glutamine and cycling creatine as well, but check out the diets at dinosaur nutrition
It's a good workout but it can be bad for your muscles to do 21's and then go straight into another bicep workout. I would do 21's and then do a tricep workout right after and then go back to 21's.
i know my own age you fucking piece of shit i put in a random age you fucking dick. dude you were saying i was failing at school now you sayin im 29 you just completely fucked yourself now your trying to cover it sayin i dont know my own age lol can tell you didnt do too well at school you tard
this is a really good work out, would just like to say, be careful when lifitng heavy, in this video you will notice that Allmaxuk swings his back, this can cause damage to your back, and trust me, you really dont wont to injur your back, because once you do, it never is the same. just pointing it out, because sometimes in the gym you see people lifting heavier than they should, and it turn from a bicept workout to a lower back workout.. but still a very gwd video :D
and i bet you get all "F's" in school and you get bullied by everybody so you cry about it when nobody is looking. lol your such a dumb ass. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?
i understand fine you dick you dont get A's,B's,F's etc. in Australia you fuck whit. thats what i meant but ill give you a bit more time to get stuff now since i know your a little bit slow. but dont blame yourself, you proberly got dropped on your head at a young age.
If you want to gain muscle you have to take protein, otherwise your muscle wont build and you're basically wasting your time working out. You'll probobly just get really hard arms but wont make any difference in size. But just so you know, real protein is better than a whey protein powder, that's just something that helps, if you want to get real result; go down to the grocery store and get some poultry or fish to eat, that stuff is MAGIC for muscle growth.
Whilst I see your point, protein drinks are absorbed more quickly, have added, glutamine, creatine, BCAA's etc and as a liquid are more readily absorbed by the muscle, cheaper and most of all more convenient
You will get results by the mere fact that you are training as nothing is better than something, you will gain more tone than size which is cool for most people as they are looking for an athletic physique.
Hi, there the 21's seem like a good exercise, however i heard to gain muscle mass it is more effective to do less reps and more mass, if i were to do the 21's i doubt i could do it with a heavy weight is it ok to pause between the 21's every 7 reps?
But it hurts. I learned, if you can't complete the last rep with good form, and without cheating then you are going too heavy. You got to get the weight just right.
You will notice strength increases almost immediatelly then physically it all depends on your physique, and bodyfat percentages, but as you get stronger and are consistant with your training i.e keep it up you will see changes within a couple of months, especially with the right supplements as well.
If your skinny you will notice definition quite quickly, but if you want to get bigger then you need a good weight gainer as oppossed to a pure whey protein
the simple answer is both, take about 25-30g before training and then take upto 50g within 45 minutes of finishing, remember it all comes down to budget so the most important one is after training, but if money isnt an issue, have one about 11 am one before training and one straight after
thanx 4 the tip but i have 1 problem today i did back and triceps i got through 2 supersets 3 sets 8 reps no problem by the time i got to the 3rd superset i was wiped i rested for 10 min still couldn't lift what i know i can is it ok to just stick with 2 supersets or do 3 supersets but just do 2 sets each
its no problem its worked superb, the idea is that you go to faliure, regardless of sets, Dorian Yates Mr. Olympia only ever did one set , but always to faliure.
i was thinking about doing bi and tri on mon chest and back on wed then shoulders and legs on fri i don't do abs because i just don't like ab exercises does this sound ok
hange the order as you are doing big muscle groups togther which you should try to avoid try, chest bis, back tris, shoulders legs, in terms of abs you will utilise them as you are training anyway so missing them is no big deal unless your goal is ripped and definition.
how long is a piece of string, i.e. depends on your shape, your comitment, your diet and your training regime, but you should feel changes within 1 month.
No you shouldnt but I do these more for the routine than the technique but if you look at the 2nd bicep video then you will see that this has been covered, but as a seasoned trainer as you must be to pick that up, you will always cheat.
if i do this twice a week in between the days you do this particular set of workouts can you work the same muscles but just with lighter weight and easier work outs
yes in essence, as you will never recover enough for it to be of any benefit, what you need to do is a total body workout over the week, so do thi once max twice a week
Hey man since you seem kinda like an expert in weightlifting, I would like to ask this:
When your doing bicep workout with onehandweights (or smthingliketht sry idk Im finnish D;) what is the correct amount to to rise the weight like from 10-12 or 12-15 Im 15 currently.
Hi your English is excellent, what you should is cycle your training, what I mean by that is change it, i.e. for 4 weeks do 10-12 for 4 weeks do 6-8 for 4 weeks do 12-15, that way you will need to change the weight up and down accordingly and your body never gets used to it so is constantly developing, but make sure the weight is heavy enough for you to be fatigueing
If you keep doing the same routine week after week your body will adapt just like a superbug, so the exercise no longer becomes effective, so you should only stay on the same program for a max of 8 weeks, then totally change it, its called shocking the body, very common and very effective
Thanks for the help, man. Hey, can you tell me what kind of foods I must eat in order to gain weight? I mean, I've been working out for like two years but I don't gain a pound! I'm 21 already but I only weight like 130 Lbs. The gym coach at my school told me to eat a lot of crackers and peanut butter. :| Do you think that'd work?
I have done the "21's" before but three sets of 5 rather than 7 - its a good exercise can really feel it burn.
Im not sure about hammer curls as I see so many people do them differently. To be honest I thought you need to be more still so as to not swing or move your back, obviously its hard not to move your back a little bit as it becomes harder.

kaythxbyebye 2 years ago
It's a good workout but it can be bad for your muscles to do 21's and then go straight into another bicep workout. I would do 21's and then do a tricep workout right after and then go back to 21's.

To anyone: Is it ok to do the 21's with dumbells? I have a pair of 20's. They seem to be working fine but I want to know just in case.
ImpactFrame 2 years ago

metaltothecore4 2 years ago
this is a really good work out, would just like to say, be careful when lifitng heavy, in this video you will notice that Allmaxuk swings his back, this can cause damage to your back, and trust me, you really dont wont to injur your back, because once you do, it never is the same. just pointing it out, because sometimes in the gym you see people lifting heavier than they should, and it turn from a bicept workout to a lower back workout.. but still a very gwd video :D

@themeturbed1 hey i never move my back. Is this good???

Question.
With other supersets I've done I've been told to leave 5-7 days recovery time is it the same with this one?
This may be a rookie question but I haven't a clue. Thanks

ShurkhanTactics 2 years ago
Whilst I see your point, protein drinks are absorbed more quickly, have added, glutamine, creatine, BCAA's etc and as a liquid are more readily absorbed by the muscle, cheaper and most of all more convenient
Paul
Allmaxuk 2 years ago
i have a question if u do the full excersie but u dont take protein will u not get results? thanks
FCbarcelona1384 2 years ago
You will get results by the mere fact that you are training as nothing is better than something, you will gain more tone than size which is cool for most people as they are looking for an athletic physique.

Hi, there the 21's seem like a good exercise, however i heard to gain muscle mass it is more effective to do less reps and more mass, if i were to do the 21's i doubt i could do it with a heavy weight is it ok to pause between the 21's every 7 reps?
thanks
yul987 2 years ago
21's is a good bicep builder
rett1103 2 years ago
But it hurts. I learned, if you can't complete the last rep with good form, and without cheating then you are going too heavy. You got to get the weight just right.
KyoukouSuneku 2 years ago
when i do a 21's, i use 15ibs dumbells in each hand, good for isolation... 3 sets each... for 2 weeks, i had my 10" arms to 13"
rett1103 2 years ago
rett1103, did u do "21's, i use 15ibs dumbells in each hand, good for isolation... 3 sets each... for 2 weeks" every day? or one day yes, one day no
abeladrian 2 years ago
twice a week, 21's=2 sets, and add a 2 sets of concentration curl at 35lbs of 10reps each..

How long until you notice progress?
bobheads07 2 years ago
You will notice strength increases almost immediatelly then physically it all depends on your physique, and bodyfat percentages, but as you get stronger and are consistant with your training i.e keep it up you will see changes within a couple of months, especially with the right supplements as well.
Paul
Allmaxuk 2 years ago
What if you're skinny and has no fat at all then when can I notice progress?
taker494returns 2 years ago
If your skinny you will notice definition quite quickly, but if you want to get bigger then you need a good weight gainer as oppossed to a pure whey protein
Paul
Allmaxuk 2 years ago
Thanks man.
taker494returns 2 years ago
hey paul is it better to take protein in the beginning or at the end of your workout.
and also what do you think about chocolate milk after workout
does it help
thanks buddy
i really love your workout tips and exercise
keep it up buddy
plese msg back
thank you
-jai
JaiMoneyyy 2 years ago
the simple answer is both, take about 25-30g before training and then take upto 50g within 45 minutes of finishing, remember it all comes down to budget so the most important one is after training, but if money isnt an issue, have one about 11 am one before training and one straight after
Choc milk, not a big fan, Im a protein man

thanx 4 the tip but i have 1 problem today i did back and triceps i got through 2 supersets 3 sets 8 reps no problem by the time i got to the 3rd superset i was wiped i rested for 10 min still couldn't lift what i know i can is it ok to just stick with 2 supersets or do 3 supersets but just do 2 sets each
weathered79 2 years ago
its no problem its worked superb, the idea is that you go to faliure, regardless of sets, Dorian Yates Mr. Olympia only ever did one set , but always to faliure.
Paul
Allmaxuk 2 years ago
i was thinking about doing bi and tri on mon chest and back on wed then shoulders and legs on fri i don't do abs because i just don't like ab exercises does this sound ok
weathered79 2 years ago
hange the order as you are doing big muscle groups togther which you should try to avoid try, chest bis, back tris, shoulders legs, in terms of abs you will utilise them as you are training anyway so missing them is no big deal unless your goal is ripped and definition.

how long does it take to see results in definition
Torpidisjohnson 2 years ago
how long is a piece of string, i.e. depends on your shape, your comitment, your diet and your training regime, but you should feel changes within 1 month.

Allmaxuk 2 years ago
Surely you shouldn't be rocking your back on 21's?
123webby 2 years ago
No you shouldnt but I do these more for the routine than the technique but if you look at the 2nd bicep video then you will see that this has been covered, but as a seasoned trainer as you must be to pick that up, you will always cheat.

good workouts u really know wat u r doin... i hav a question is it bad if i do this evryday
nextenjoiskater 2 years ago
yes in essence, as you will never recover enough for it to be of any benefit, what you need to do is a total body workout over the week, so do thi once max twice a week
Allmaxuk 2 years ago
Hey man since you seem kinda like an expert in weightlifting, I would like to ask this:
When your doing bicep workout with onehandweights (or smthingliketht sry idk Im finnish D;) what is the correct amount to to rise the weight like from 10-12 or 12-15 Im 15 currently.
chvyant 2 years ago
Hi your English is excellent, what you should is cycle your training, what I mean by that is change it, i.e. for 4 weeks do 10-12 for 4 weeks do 6-8 for 4 weeks do 12-15, that way you will need to change the weight up and down accordingly and your body never gets used to it so is constantly developing, but make sure the weight is heavy enough for you to be fatigueing
hope this helps
Paul
Allmaxuk 2 years ago
Thanks for responding, well I got to try this I haven't heard about the cycling thing Ill let u know if dis helps me to get som better results :>
chvyant 2 years ago
