Well, I guess by mistake I really mean mispick, you know that sound you might hear on guitar hero when your timing isn't quite ON, but nonetheless your are quite correct in saying what sounds wrong to one is pure magic to another. Jerry was the most brilliant at playing expressively, and some emotions are simply misunderstood or even too complex to understand with words. Peace
Wow roseavelt stadium jersey city shutt yawmouth! lol Jerry Is fantistic thanks for sharing this video my dead head life long buddys got to see this T T F N Y.TMrToe
For me, what makes Jer the greatest guitarist ever, is knowing how he plays and then seeing the different versions, hot and cold. Seeing his mistakes and how he reacts and corrects a mistake for me is one of the funnest parts of listening to him play. Sure you could see Dream Theater and be blown away at the tightness, but it lacks in human emotion......Miss ya Jer.......Peace
true words from a human with love. respect to you- smile because you are still conscious and amazing. jer would be honored to have a fan such as yourself, anyone would.
Right on, brother! I'll meet you at the Alamo Mission.
{In answer to all my critics: JG is the greatest guitarist of all time. He did truly illuminate the inside of his own trouser legs and them voters in Rolling Stone don't know doodley spit about geetar playin'!}

Oooh, you bitch! This is a similar version to the Sugaree on 'Live in Germany' and it doesn't compare. Even Deadheads should stand back from their gods and admit that they're only human after all, at times. I have worshipped JG for 36 years And tro say that I couldn't play as well as him is saying that I couldn't win Wimbledon or the F1 World Championship. Absolutely true - but a pointless, braindead comparison. Can't you think of an original, witty insult?
No doubt Jerry had off nights, I guess as a dead head you kind of forgive him for it and look foward to the next night. I loved these shows in the 1970s, sometimes they would show W.C. Fields movies during intermission. I'll see you on the run old and in the gray. lol.
I was there also, and having seen the Dead a few times, I have to say that this was the worst one I ever saw. What I remember is, yes, when they played it sounded great, but it was long in betweens of songs, and the 1 song I learned how to play after this concert was called"Tuning Up". But I also have to say, it was hot, a few beers, and I just got really bored that day, I think it was when the chimp, Mr. Jiggs came out, and everyone booed him, was when I asked myself, what the hell is this ?

Also, the extended arpegio starting around 1:18 is just sooo Garcia mixolodian, that it says far more than these words about music.

I was there! What a wonderful thing to see it again almost 32 years later. The music, the essence, the feeling... it's all timeless.
