I live in Ireland and fellas and girls normally drink vodka mixed with red bull or somthing in a shot, on average somone would have 3 of these shots on a night out. What alot of people do is drink a naggin (quater of a ltr i think?) of vodka before they go out to boost them up. Polish and russian people can drink ALOT more vodka because it is so common, in Ireland we drink 9-10 pints of beer on average on a night out, i dunno if thats much internationally. then again i only drink 5-6 pints

This is changing, but some people still take a lot of pride in being Irish-american, Italian-american, etc. Being "American" says nothing about your family's history to distinguish you from anyone else.
