It is harder but faster to go through Valley of the Drakes into Blighttown. You will meet 3 or 4 toxic blowdarters but eastern armor and poisonbite ring will give you time to reach those bastards and put them out of their misery.

@lilbilliethefirst I believe that is the Eagle Shield. It's the lightest of the "heavy" class of shields, and it is accessed by a ladder near the exit down to the swamp.

@dfghj241 If you are moving slowly, you actually need to upgrade your Endurance. Endurance increases your maximum equip burden. Equipping a certain percentage of your max burden alters your speed. For example, >50% of your equip burden = roll like a brick. <50% = decent speed rolls.
To perform flips, you need <50% max burden and a special ring (the Dark Wood Grain Ring)

@dfghj241 do you have the correct stats for it??? you need at least 16 str and.... uh 10 dex I think? If you don't have the required stats your attacks won't be effective
@dfghj241 Ok, just checking. Other than that, there's no way to increase attack speed. There are a lot of different moves, though, and some of them are faster or slower than others. (two handing versus one handing, forward R2s versus normal R2s, etc.)
Just a quick tip to get rid of those big guys at the entrance of Blight Town really fast:
Pull them with a ranged attack, then go back up the ladder you came from.
You should now be on the small platform you see at 0:35. Hug the wall to the right of the ladder, and just stand there.
The giant bellow will simply try to walk up to you and fall to his death, because right under the little platform you're standing on there is no ground.

That unblockable grab move those beasties do is in fact a terrible move. If it hits you, they grab onto you and munch on your throat zombie-style. It drains almost all of your health. It's very easy to avoid but pay attention because you don't want this on you. I know... from experience.

SI accidentley hhit the sewer lady when trying to go through my inventory thing. (Basiclly she wouldn't stfu and I my pause inventory thing wouldn't come up, so me thinking it did, hit her...fml.) So is there another way to get the moss clumps that cure toxins and poisons?
@TheCluelessXbox Yeah! Actually there is a better way. Just go farm the tree dudes in the Dark Root Garden near Andre's smith. You'll get a ton, and probably faster!
I just changed to the spider shield just before starting that area, & I tried the jump to the Katana without knowing it was there & did the jump right on the first attempt, I guess I got really lucky there :)

@tahanun12 have you found the bonfire? If not, go down the water wheel and turn to your left. There is a tunnel with a bonfire. Looking for the boss? Down the bonfire and turn right and go through the swamp until you reach the big hill. Looking for the way to Firelink? Ride the wheel up, climb the ladders, loot the key at the top, follow the path to the Valley of Drakes and unlock the door to New Londo.

@dredful00 Basically because dual wielding sucks in DkS. There's no reason to do it to my knowledge. Other than to look like a badass. For defense, a shield is obviously better, and for offense holding your weapon 2-handed does a ton more damage. It's a pity!

@lennoxEffect47 From Quelaag's, go out of her cave, stay to the left side of the swamp, go past the waterwheel, go past the tunnel with another bonfire (might want to light it), and there will be a path up on the left. I've honestly never taken that route, so I can't give good directions. It's easier for me to come down from the sewers.
@lennoxEffect47 I'm not sure what you mean by Lost Izalith's bonfire and katana... I'm sorry. To get to Lost Izalith, go through the door near the Chaos Covenant's secret room (not the locked shortcut, the other door). There's a bonfire there, Ceaseless, and below there are some Capra enemies blocking the path forward and Taurus demons blocking an ember.

For that big warm thingy there where you get the pyromancy item. for melee is there any tips on killing him. i have no arrows what so ever, and i killed the only merchant i know of who sells them for his sword.
@HotPocketEXE its a talisman, which is the required device to perform 'miracles' with (the clerics form of magic). you can buy them and the healing spells from the guy at firelink shrine that is stood near all the vases.

@EpicNameBro just incase nobody told you, the item around 1:29, Dung Pie (aka poo), it has some toxic uses that I ignore but mainly it's your own personal Soul Piggy Bank, you can feed them to a guy later (the guy after the 2nd bell, at firelink shrine) n he gives you the exact number of souls as you spent to buy it from the female merchent who sells moss, so if your worried bout loosing souls, buy as many moss from her as u can, then u can feed them to the guy later n get all your souls back

that stuff the giant undead drop is called "dung pie"which is an item you throw at enemies to poison them.it works well but it poisons you at the same time.

i got a small problem... i need those flowers if i get hit by the poison. but when i was using those "extra soul things" i was mashing the "use item" button and when i went out i used 1 firebomb on the lady merchant... she is not dead by she tells me to burn in hell and die a thousand times. will she forgive me if i pay the amount of souls to get clean? if not i won't bother and just farm trees :P
@makahuro She will forgive you if you pay the souls, and the earlier you do it the better b/c it only gets more expensive. On the other hand, if you plan on betraying a covenant later (like the Forest Hunters so you can get the Dark Wood Grain Ring, Washing Pole, etc), you could just wait. Poison and toxin cures drop all the time in the forest, and the bell tower npc sells curse cures. The only thing I really buy from her is poison arrows.

This is a really important place in the game (when accessed from the Depths).
For the Eagle shield, the Ninja Suit, and the Iaito Katana. A really swift, fast blade that causes bleeding on enemies.
Just have the rusted iron ring, ninja flips ring and the spider shield before you enter.
And possibly any poison resist items you can get (the ring, any suits and grass).

SI accidentley hhit the sewer lady when trying to go through my inventory thing. (Basiclly she wouldn't stfu and I my pause inventory thing wouldn't come up, so me thinking it did, hit her...fml.) So is there another way to get the moss clumps that cure toxins and poisons?

@TheCluelessXbox Yeah! Actually there is a better way. Just go farm the tree dudes in the Dark Root Garden near Andre's smith. You'll get a ton, and probably faster!

I just changed to the spider shield just before starting that area, & I tried the jump to the Katana without knowing it was there & did the jump right on the first attempt, I guess I got really lucky there :)

@tahanun12 have you found the bonfire? If not, go down the water wheel and turn to your left. There is a tunnel with a bonfire. Looking for the boss? Down the bonfire and turn right and go through the swamp until you reach the big hill. Looking for the way to Firelink? Ride the wheel up, climb the ladders, loot the key at the top, follow the path to the Valley of Drakes and unlock the door to New Londo.

@dredful00 Basically because dual wielding sucks in DkS. There's no reason to do it to my knowledge. Other than to look like a badass. For defense, a shield is obviously better, and for offense holding your weapon 2-handed does a ton more damage. It's a pity!

@lennoxEffect47 From Quelaag's, go out of her cave, stay to the left side of the swamp, go past the waterwheel, go past the tunnel with another bonfire (might want to light it), and there will be a path up on the left. I've honestly never taken that route, so I can't give good directions. It's easier for me to come down from the sewers.

@lennoxEffect47 I'm not sure what you mean by Lost Izalith's bonfire and katana... I'm sorry. To get to Lost Izalith, go through the door near the Chaos Covenant's secret room (not the locked shortcut, the other door). There's a bonfire there, Ceaseless, and below there are some Capra enemies blocking the path forward and Taurus demons blocking an ember.

@EpicNameBro just incase nobody told you, the item around 1:29, Dung Pie (aka poo), it has some toxic uses that I ignore but mainly it's your own personal Soul Piggy Bank, you can feed them to a guy later (the guy after the 2nd bell, at firelink shrine) n he gives you the exact number of souls as you spent to buy it from the female merchent who sells moss, so if your worried bout loosing souls, buy as many moss from her as u can, then u can feed them to the guy later n get all your souls back

i got a small problem... i need those flowers if i get hit by the poison. but when i was using those "extra soul things" i was mashing the "use item" button and when i went out i used 1 firebomb on the lady merchant... she is not dead by she tells me to burn in hell and die a thousand times. will she forgive me if i pay the amount of souls to get clean? if not i won't bother and just farm trees :P

@makahuro She will forgive you if you pay the souls, and the earlier you do it the better b/c it only gets more expensive. On the other hand, if you plan on betraying a covenant later (like the Forest Hunters so you can get the Dark Wood Grain Ring, Washing Pole, etc), you could just wait. Poison and toxin cures drop all the time in the forest, and the bell tower npc sells curse cures. The only thing I really buy from her is poison arrows.

@hammerofnul you have to get a fire ember i think its called. that lets you upgrade it to 6, there are a couple other ways but idk what they are yet.
