are you serious? speed and stamina? Maharaji may be a beautiful dancer, but speed and stamina? that is the first I am ever hearing of those words to describe him. Clearly you've never heard of Pandit Chitresh Das. Check out his videos and I think you'll understand the real meaning of speed and stamina COUPLED with beauty and grace (at age 63).

Then that's not the case, this is the great Pandit Birju Maharaj descending from a family who refined the art of kathak as it is today, known as Lucknow gharana.
have you ever been to theatre, movies, ballet or a dance performance? Actors and dancers play roles no matter who they are in life...or when you go to the movies you believe that people really die when they do so in a movie? He's not 'dancing as a woman' he's dancing kathak, a classical highly refined for of dance. Can you understand the subtleties of its aesthetics and basics?
