I think if the shape of the spiral keys were a little different - mostly making the smallest keys a little larger for easier playing technique, that this could be a very interesting instrument.
I am MASSIVELY interested in this...depending on how close guarded your work to date is, i would love to talk alternative controllers with you as this is an area I am dedicating my musical path to.
interesting idea. Wouldn't it be easier if all the notes were shaped the same size? I imagine it'd be easier to learn to play it with some skill if it were more consistent.
