I went on a tour of sony pictures and was in the room where they filmed that. The woman who was showing us around was a friend of the family and said it was a set worker on the film who hung himself just to get his 15 minutes of fame and supposedly still haunts the studio.
I had a little research this is what I found: From google: A muchkin didnt make the movie so he killed himsfelf. Wiki: It is a crane/bird. SO either way. It dosent matter.

the crane was a digital add in to cover up hte swinging munchkin body at the moment the body swings into the shot the crane extends it's wing. Think about it what the hell does a crane have to do with the woods? Why is it so big? Why is there only one? Look at the curve of the crane and how it fades back into the trees and seems to disappear. It only serves one purpose and it does the job they needed it to.

If it was a bird, why did it seem to swing from a center point, like a pendulum, and then swing back behind the tree? If it was a bird, it would have spread its wings both sides at 1 time, not one at a time. When I originaly made my comment it was literally unwatchable....you could barely see Dorothy let alone any alledged munchkin shadows in the background. This video IS much better than the one that was originally up, so I will certainly agree with you that what is up now seems to be pretty decent.

@DEACONAP4LOVE Honestly I just watched it again, and it appears that they re-uploaded it, or somehow, otherwise fixed the problem. When I originaly made my comment it was literally unwatchable....you could barely see Dorothy let alone any alledged munchkin shadows in the background. This video IS much better than the one that was originally up, so I will certainly agree with you that what is up now seems to be pretty decent.

@dumpiedude Thanks! :) actually though, I don't feel quite as bad about this clip as I did when I first commented. Back when I made my first comment (like 10 months ago or so) the quality of this clip was CONSIDERABLY worse than it is now. I'm not sure if, since then it was re-uploaded, or there may have been some problem on YouTubes end that they fixed.....but it really DOES look much better now. I feel it necessarry to point that out so it doesnt sound like I was just being an asshole! LOL!
