  • I think I might hav seen wat she did. Im looking at other videos too and I notice they All have some sort of bracelet. And I think Ther putting it under the bracelet/watch. Just a theory

  • @msosa37 I only WATCHED it once. I would say first phase shell coins second part like you said, WATCH closely, and you will see it. I could be wrong about the shells though as I said I haven't fully analyzed it. I can pretty well pick off most methods with one look at an act.

It was vaguely entertaining though. Good flowing movements.

  • @msosa37 good theory u are correct flipper coin and shell or expanded shell and super expanded shell and under the watch

  • subscribed :)

  • I like the coin over knuckle done really slow, i looks better slow than fast & smooth stuff also :D

  • very well done x

  • Wow, nice job, by the way, this work is not originally by Josh, the effect is from the creative mind of Troy Hooser and his name is "Squeeze Away - Plus Ditch", the last wanish is and idea for my great friend Alain Nu and his partner Alan Greenberg

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

    MIND=BLOWN

  • Nice "watch" :)

  • @StafooProductions hahahahahaha I got that :)

  • wow kate, you're doing more and more coin magic nowadays...cool!

    keep it up!.. :D

    -matt_22

  • babycat are u all about card magic.

ore do you performe coin magic some time? :)

  • u hid the coins on ur watch to hold them i saw

that is why u did not show the other side of ur watch

  • Awesome hon, loved it. 5 stars.

  • yeh i think josh jay created the last one where he slid the coin under his water in performing the retention vanish tt be left clean

  • SHIT

  • damnnnnnn demaciado bueno!

  • good routine (Tnx Joshua!)

    Perfomance,well, need polish....

  • very nice video good choice of music

  • Hey, I am really liking the videos you have posted, I am also a professional magician for 4 years...tho my videos on here are less than me...I have improved and always up for critic. Overall this routine is great, I wish tho you were a little more smooth in executing the routine and to work on your vanishes. I think when you rub away the coin away it goes on a little too much. Lastly when performing the dirty deed, be more confident and the last coin you should hold farther away for the vanish.

  • I think that was really well done. The people who are nit picking are missing the point. This is a 3 coin vanish by Joshua Jay, it's not like you're needing to hide anything major (can't give too much away), no Ramsey to hold out, so it's even better to direct the audience's attention to your hands! Give them the opportunity to see real magic happen! ;)

  • I've probably watched this about 25 times and i still don't have a clue how it's done...

    Please tell me :)?

  • Only we magicians are supposed to know how it's done.

You don't want to spoil the magic now do you :P hehe

  • Супер! Мастерица на все руки!

  • there's always been a big gap in the market for a comparable female magician, you might just be the one to fill it. magic

  • I do the same 3 coin vanish, but different... using the same coins I recived from Joshua... Eye contact with your audiance is important, but doing closeup magic, they will lock were\you are looking and were you tell them to look! I'll work getting my Video of the 3 coin vanish inspired by Joshua with in the next few weeks. Mighty Mike

  • как этот трюк называется?

  • 3 coin vanish...by joshua jay

  • nice trick! but again when u are performing to an audience u really dont need to look at an audience, why do u need to? only when u believe u are doing something, does the audience believe it. concentrate more on magic than that video camera!

  • WHAT?? Anyone who knows anything about being a magician knows, that constant eye contact is absolutly necessary. That doesn't mean that as the magician you stare at the audiance the entire time you do an effect, but you MUST establish a balance of focus between your audience and the effect. If you stare at the effect the entire time, the audience will feel as if you are ignoring them or that you are not confident in what you do. This girl did a fantastic job between that balance, she............

  • @PuckRG I agree to what u say. Very true. Yes eye contact is important. But just looking at the audience completely thru-out would not suffice was my argument :) . And this video is anyways brilliant. I cannot match her in anyway in this routine at the moment. I give my kudos to her :D

  • looked at the audiance when she was manipluating the coin through her fingers, and she focused on her hands when she was doing the vanishes. The worse magicians I've seen and known are those who never make eye contact with their audiance. Not making eye contact takes away from the "personal" magic experience. The best magicians are those who know how to balance this. You need to read some books by Jeff McBride, Eugene Burger, and Darren Brown if you think eye contact isn't important.

  • You deffinatly need to read up more on magic in general.

Take into account everything PuckRG just said, it's all true man.

  • Okay,SO I have to speak on this one.3 Things :

1)This vanish is by Joshua Jay from his close-up up-close volume 2 video.

    2)To those of you who think it's a sleight of hand vanish,well it's not.But it's great btw.

3)Ekaterina,I admire your magic:I really do.But let's give some credit to the persons who put their hard work to create effects that we "use",shall we?? With regards.....

  • Ok but the watch thing was def out before josh put that out, Barehanded By Kirk Kokinos anyone??

  • @slydini2 If you want to give credit it is really by Troy Hooser. ( Which Joshua Jay mentions) This is meant for a lay audience to showcase her talent. So no credit is necessary. It is only needed when educating the magic fraternity. I know you don't give credit when performing for laypeople. Cause they don't care, and they don't know who the people the created the effects are any way. it is also detrimental to the flow of a performance. Giving the credit to laypeople is like exposure.

  • @magicated That's just dumb. It's not exposure,it's recognition for the magician's work.If we're gonna perform other magician's routines, the least we can do is let people know they created it.And it's not "detrimental to the flow of a performance", she could just write it in the description.About laypeople not caring...If i show my grandmother a Picasso painting in my house and make her think I painted it,the fact that she doesn't care about painting doesn't make it right, does it?

  • @JSLSampaio the pendragon's do not credit John Nevil Maskelyne during there performance of metamorphosis. Cellini did not credit Slydini during a performance of knotted silks. He did later during a lecture. there are endless number of examples. She is not claiming to have created this effect. So your analogy of claiming the picasso does not hold water.

  • @magicated no, they did not. but they were not posting videos on youtube. in live performances, giving credit to some other magician is, like you so well said, "detrimental to the flow of a performance". In videos, it is not. So, everyone should give credit to the illusion creator, in the description or the video credits. It's all I'm saying.

  • @JSLSampaio Yes they do have video's on youtube. this is not a live performance it is her in front of a camera.

  • @magicated Oh, and my analogy does "hold water" (love this expression), because i didn't say I would claim it was my own, I would make her (my grandma, remember?) think I painted it. When a layman sees a magician perform something, he thinks it was the magician creating it.

  • @JSLSampaio No they don't, they know magicians have been making things vanish since the beginning of time.like seeing some one cut a woman in half, do linking rings, find a card, etc. they know magicians have been doing these things for a long time. How would you make her think you painted it if you didn't claim it? doesn't hold water its like apples and oranges. Many artists have painted the last supper, just like many magicians have made coins vanish.

  • @JSLSampaio I have watched one of your video's, I am impressed with the skill, and production quality. However I did see you did not give credit to Paul LePaul l for his spread. I don't think credit is neede there for that type of thing but, following your logic you should. Did your grandmother think you created that?

  • @magicated yes, they know magicians have vanished stuff for a long time, but the routine itself... that's different.Oh, and uhm... my LePaul Spread is actually not that bad, but I doubt you've seen it,because I never uploaded any video. What you saw was probably one of my favorites. No,my grandma does not think I created it,probably because she has never used a computer in her life.Oh,and no,I don't think credit for the Spread would be necessary, because that's a single sleight, not a whole routine.

  • i like this girl she is nice and her trickS the same like her NICE! 5/5

  • thanks :) the 'girl' likes your comment ;)

  • Interesting that everyone doing this trick is wearing a watches? :-D Don't know where did you put the first two coins, but third is under watchbelt i think. :-D

  • Very nice trick (I hope you didn't use glue and it's your palming skills during the last coin's disappearance ;]). I loved the atmosphere, but you should be careful with the lighting and video filters, because at times the coins disappear unintentionally because of the shadows ^^

  • yeah sowwy for that... my cinematography skills have gotten better now

  • how lol

  • Nice vanishes...but allow me to give some honest criticism (not asshole-ish, just honest). You didn't look like you believed it...and if you don't beleive it, why should we (the audience)? Sell the tricks with your own conviction, and they'll improve tenfold. I'm an amateur-beginner and the tricks I can do are lame, but still entertain because they surprise and mislead, but also because there's a level of belief. PS: Thank you for the felidae shuffle tut!

  • nicely done!

Just try to get the first vanish a little smoother, and you probably don't have to emphasize your hands being empty so much but i still really liked it!

  • increible muy buen truco!

  • I got fooled when seeing it 1st time :D. Smooth!

  • You sound like you don't like coin magic at all... check out this video and you might change your mind:

    watch?v=pS6rQ6_Q3Ko

  • i love how the trick, the music and your eyes and gestures work together. i was thrilled! very impressive!

  • does this trick have a name? I've been doing 3 coin vanishes with some other routines, but not this one... it gets on my nerve cause I usually need a jacket for J.Miller's silver dream...

  • you may find this trick on joshua jay's dvd's... not really a specific name for it as I learned it when he lectured in ottawa.

    cheers

    kate

  • Kate

You performed that great i was taught this effect by Troy h, i use triple threat because you use three seperate coin same outcome, i used another final vanish, but joshua j taught me the one you use. But let me tell you young lady you got it going on. Harvey

  • yeah I went to joshua jays lecture to learn it :P thanks for the comment :)

  • can we marry?

  • I don't see any diamond ring?:p

  • lol, i hav 1

  • ah I think I've got it :P

    very good tho :D

  • Shit...

first time in a while that Ive actually been fooled ^^

Whats the name of this routine, vanishes? Niceee ! 5*

  • nice the best version of 3 coin vanish

  • Awsome! One of the best 3 coin vanishes, that horse Magician Ed also performs a 3 coin vanish but not half as sexy as this master of magic!

  • prevet :)

  • is this silver dream?

  • nope

  • my bad.........

  • Comment removed

  • :P this video is viewed by laymen...I would appreciate this message as in a pm... in future reference do so instead of 'thinking out loud' the method ;).

    Thanks for the comment,

    Kate

  • That was very good, how long have you been performing magic (close up in particular)

  • u r beautiful

  • how do u do that?¿?!

  • Great stuff, I know how you did it but it was beautifully executed =]

  • here's how i think you do it...

when you grab the coin it obviously goes somewhere around your hand. at the end of each "vanish" you roll a chip down your hands (excelent misdirection), giving you time to either get the coin comfortably in your hand or to dump it. the second time you do it (rolling the chip) your hand goes off camera and, im assuming, gets rid of the 2 coins you had in that hand?

  • @johno993 Stop exposing magic. If u r a student of magic, u r a bloody disgrace. Just admire the stuff she is duing. I bet u cant pull this off even if u put twice the effort as she did.

  • @blitzavi89 Mate, drop your attitude. Acting big online is pathetic.

Don't tell me what to do either. It's a comments page - I leave my interpretation of the video. I never said I could pull it off, and I don't understand how you come off saying that?

Mate, you're an absolute joke. Try spending time outdoors rather then attacking people with your keyboard?

  • go compete in FISM 2009

...and... no talking! (you know what I mean, I hope)

  • :p very early in the morning for me here, but your comment is a good start for the day hehe :P , glad you liked Glyn

  • Woo go you!

You're not just good at presenting card tricks and flourishes!!! ;)

  • Now. By a close, careful observation is clear and obvious that those coins aren't there anymore!

    Where are them now?

Are them traveling in odd skies with two suns, watched by puzzled alien eyes?

Are them back in a remote past, suddenly appearing and scaring some villain... or forward in the future, to be analyzed with some futuristic machinery?

Or did you tele-transport them to the home of one of us?!

    BaByCatXD... when reality surpasses fiction!

    :-D
