I have an Outing Talking Machine like too. I am trying to restore it but I am missing something. I can't figure our what the tone arm goes in to. There is a metal tray in the back of the player that goes all the way across, but nothing to attach the tone arm to. It looks like a piece of wood is missing. Could you send me a picture looking down on the phonograph where the tone arm is attached?

"When My Dreams Come True" was written specifically for the movie version of "THE COCOANUTS" by Irving Berlin, and recorded by Waring's Pennsylvanians on May 2, 1929, at the time the film was first released. Compare this with Paul Whiteman's version (recorded for Columbia a day later), with Jack Fulton's vocal....
Very nice. I just got an old phonograph I'm going to start restoring. See my videos now for a kinda blurry "before" picture. Nice track, too. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
If you like this music (which you obviously do), apart from the 78MAN channel, much more can be found on mic33george, twiddlybobby, 85scampi, nedsparks and others. Most of my favorited videos come from those channels.
Awesome phonograph, I have one just like it, they're great aren't they? Love to see some more videos of it too!

Great posting. Most enjoyable.
Hal Kemp's version is really good too, but I do not think it is on You Tube.
Thank you for sharing.
