  • Boss mt 2 metal core 10 kat daha iyi bence

  • I hve this its perfect for metallica slayer megadeth etc and when u put on the top boost its a perfect pantera tone!

  • what is this song? or give me tab link, please

  • great demo, thanx!

  • THAT IS FUCKING BRUTAL \m/ defo getting it!

  • hi would somebody be able to tell me if u can get like a hard rock or classic rock sound as well as metal? i use a marshall ma50c with a fender jag with humbuckers. i usually play stuff like heavier foo fighters, the darkness, acdc, zepellin, ash. thanks

  • the Boost thing is good for shreddy stuff =D

  • Still not as good as MXR Fullbore but it's decent.

  • Sick. need

  • harmonix metal muff or biyang metal-end? which one is better?

  • I have it.. and I'll buy the Blackstar HT-5r too =)

  • OK, OK...Must get !

  • Should I get this or the pro co turbo rat. I know the rat I only distortion and this is fuzz and distortion. This looks awesome.

  • i have a question: i've got a multieffect pedal (it's a digitech rp355) and i'd like to try a Metal muff, is it worth it to get a metal muff ?? D: i hope someone answers me, thanks!

  • awesome review.. now i'm thankful i have one of those!

  • 14 people don't like awesome pedal demos!

  • you've got 3 hands!

  • Best review ever.

  • I've been trying to get a tone similar to Anthrax's "Madhouse" rhythm crunch recently with my Metal Muff. Can't seem to get it to sound as good as it does in the track. If anybody has suggestions on settings it'd be much appreciated!

  • Really Good demo, 10/10 :)

  • very good demo! all possibillities are shown! thanks

  • can use only the boost with the distortion of the amp?? only for the solos..I need only the boost....or can I use the byass always over the amp distor??

  • 1:45 to go metal!

  • good demo

  • Best demo for any product I've ever seen in my life.

Just maybe have the riff include a short solo after the rhythm.

And EH should pay because I'm definitely buying this.

  • wow

  • this or a line 6 uber metal or digitch hardwire metal distortion??????????????? please respond. i want a parkway drive/august burns red/killswitch type tone

  • i have a question, does this pedal work well on dropped tuning? i have a Big Muff Pi but that sounds disgusting on dropped tuning

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know if this would work well with a bass guitar?

  • @PARIAH805 Yeah it should.

  • Good, no fucking talking or another bullshit, just sound

  • If you are a bassist searching for a pedal I'd recommend this. I wanted the sound as close as Cliff Burton had, so far this is the best (he used this one btw) :P

  • @10laughungtears Actually, he used the Electro Harmonix Big Muff, not the Metal Muff. And for bassists I'd recommend getting the Bass Big Muff, which is like the Big Muff, except it doesn't cut out all the low end like the Big Muff.

  • awesome pedal, the top boost kick ass!

  • Hey guys. I am considering buying a new pedal. I'm stuck between this lovely muffin and the Boss MT-2.

What pedal do you suggest I get? Are there others I should check out, by the way?

    And... Awesome demo, dude!

  • @BrUSomania Blackstar, definately the best distortion pedal I have heard. It has a tube in it as well. Forgot the exact name but if you look for a blackstar distortion pedal youll find it.

  • @BrUSomania Yeah I completely agree with Direksone. Blackstar makes awesome pedals. I have the Blackstar HT-Blackfire which is limited edition but if you could still find one available it is a great pedal. Expensive yes but amazing

  • Best fucking demo ever....

  • can someone help me, im stuck between the metal muff and the boss metal zone. which one is good for metalcore and thrash metal?

  • @rhcpkzi okay well i cant give you a great answer on what you should get, i am a bass player, not a guitar player, but the boss metal zone, its a good pedal, but it doesnt seem to be enough to handle most metal, if you do get that however, a boss overdrive pedal with it will make it sound god. the electo harmonix metal muff pi, in my opinion is better, better distortion tone, more eq, and i just like it more. i would highly recommend a metal muff

  • why every demos had to be played with same kind of boring riffs/power chords again and again? cant they play some higher note in the demo???

I guess that was because most "metal bands" have no solos in their songs but just keep on repeating riffs/ PCs

One good thing abt this demo is that at least you tried turning everything.

  • Not Ever The Fatty From MXR Could Make It Better

    hahahahahaha XD

  • Best Demo Ive Ever Seen!!!

Not Ever Guitar World Could Make It Better

    Just Exelent !!! (y)

  • гитара не настроена!

  • Finally someone smart enough to create a loop for a demo lol wow i feel stupid ha

  • Is this pedal good for play black metal?

  • this was a really good demo. i will definitely buy this pedal

  • the loop thingy was smart

  • @rrgert4 i can say, this is a thing i do, that it's a good thing to put a demo in the loop and then turn on the distorsion to see how it sounds like when you manipolate the knobs on the distortion pedal! it's veeery smart dude!

  • @rrgert4 lol so old comment .. yes but all the pedal demo should be done like this :!!

  • best demo ive seen for a pedal

  • THE MUFF!!!!!

  • Nice demo brozilla, good thinking with the loop :P

  • Good demo dude!

  • Holy Fuck !! Best Metal pedal evaahhh !!!!!

  • i came at 2:46 im getting this fucking beast pedal :D thanks for the demo m8

  • the best demo i have heard! thank you! :)

  • thanx for the video man!

  • good demo though i would have liked to hear how a lead riff would sound.

  • 2:46

this pedal is a fukng BEAST!!!!!

  • Exellent review. You show how the pedal works. This's how a pedal should be tested.

  • They should have put a clean boost on the metal muff the top boost has to be used lightly never past 10oclock. Thus pedal sounds awesome with my bugera 1960.

  • The metal muff is better than the fullbore and the boss metalzone. More amp like distortion less can of beez sounding. The only distortion pedal ill ever buy.

  • Awesome pedal but I prefer the boss mt-2.

  • Best sound: T at 1:00, M at 2:00, B at 1:00 and Dist at 12:00.

  • Should I get this or the MXR Fullbore Metal? I want Lambof God-ish tone.

  • i love this pedal but unfortunately my 9v charger port is not connecting :/ so i have to constantly use batteries

  • Nice vid, do you think this pedal would be great for thrashy stuff like Megadeth and Testament BUT at the same time proggy (lol) stuff like Dream Theater, Symphony X and so on? And is the boost used in this pedal to make solos more powerful or just to play metal because without it there wouldn't be enough gain? I hope to have been clear, I'm not english :P

  • Damn, at first I was gonna say "the original is just as good", but this thing fucking cranks! Nice vid thanks....

  • metal muff, metal zone, or metal core? all seem like fairly decent pedals. im pushing toward the muff though..

  • @MrLowerLevel18 I don't have any experience with the metal zone or metal core but the metal muff is fucking amazing.

  • @MrLowerLevel18

    Keep pushing :)

  • I love the video bro, u did a great demo of this pedal, but i was wondering does the yamaha telecaster copy u were using have single coils or humbuckers?

  • How does it sounds on bass?

  • Should I get this one or a Boss Metal Zone? I'm playing progressive metal like Opeth, Dream Theater and Nevermore (bands that require a fair amount of distortion and good lead tones for solos) , and thrash metal like Megadeth or Testament, but I have a Marshall Valvestate which does not have enough gain in my opinion, so I thought I should try using a pedal before considering buying a new amp. Can anybody help me to choose? Thanks!

  • @Niamorg1007 The Digitech DF-7 modelling the ML-2 kills the real thing. I've had them both. The key is that the DF-7 has a mid sweep control. Plus the Tube Screamer and the DOD preamp overdrive models included on the DF-7 could add life to the half baked overdrive channels. It's the next best thing than spending more money on the real thing. If I were you, I'd try MM with Top Boost along with the DF-7 before committing to a new amp.

  • @Imat00l Thanks it helps alot!

  • great demo

  • Buy my metal muff off amazon!!!!SHOOT ME A MESSAGE IF YOU WANT TO AND I WILL GIVE YOU A 10% DISCOUNT!!!!! COOL STUFF STORE

  • What happened when you turn off a bit the volume of your guitar while playing?

  • Why can't all demos be like this?

  • @GuitarGod94XxXx that is one smart comment, and yeah they NEEEED to be like this in the future!!

  • Want

  • You should do a demo of your blackstar HT-5.

  • good idea! (loop)

  • best test ever done

  • I have this pedal and it's not to bad,but it doesn't compare to my modified Boss Metal Zone,Seymour Duncan Power Grid,or my absolute favorite the discontinued Zoom Tri-Metal.

  • Great demo for sure! I needed a fuzz pedal for a couple of tunes a night, and just finished A/B-ing about 7 of them. The Metal Muff isn't a fuzz pedal per se, although you can get some fuzz-style sounds when maxed. But, it really is an excellent all-around high-gain box. It doesn't thin or mush out your sound, and it's way above any "traditional" fuzz (although, those are different animals altogether). I have to agree with one comment though. The mid at about 1:00 or 2:00 o'clock is the ticket.

  • How do you record the loop ?

  • how do you record loop

  • amazing man, now I know this will be part of my gear

  • This was actually very helpful, thanks!!!

  • Hey guys, the only reason i would be scared to buy this is because of the fuzz. Does the fuzz get to crazy, and if it does what knob would be the best for keeping down the fuzz?

  • @NegmaDeath Sorry if the reply is to late dude get it the Fuzz isnt an issue the EQ's are really sensitive which is really good u can find a really unique sound in this i got it, and its plugged into my peavey bandit112 and man its a dream its one of the best distortion pedals ive heard a really good pedal but hands down the best distortion for pure metal death is the Hardwire tl-2 that thing is a monster IT IS the Pinnacle of portable gain monsters anyway go get the Muff u wont regret it

  • Would this pedal be good for Muse, would you say? I know Matt Bellamy uses a Fuzz Factory, but they are quite expensive and not easily versatile, and I do like the Muff... :/

  • can it get the classic muff dist?

  • How dare you turn the mids down! Smh

  • @Longhorn959 its called mid scoop.. loads of guitarists do it

  • @Longhorn959 If it's METAL then ditch the mids!

  • @hardmous If you like getting lost in the mix and having a shitty tone, sure.

  • @KaleTheShadow or if you like scooping the mids and having a proper metal tone.

  • @hardmous If you like having a shitty tone, go for it. Have fun getting drowned live.

  • @hardmous

Have fun trying to get in the mix with a mid-strong Mesa Mark V, Marshall JVM, or Bogner Uberschall with a Dist pedal with the mids scooped pushes a little Peavey Dandit.

  • :O THAT WAS WITH DIST ALL THE WAY DOWN!

  • I bought one of these when it first came out. I was a devouted MetalZone user for 20 years and tried ever distortion pedal out there. Then I tried the Metal Muff and the MetalZone has sat in the closet since.

I don't use the top boost fuction very often, but it's cool to know it's there if I need to rip the heads off the first five rows.

  • This thing is sick as f***!!!

    I really want one!

  • that distortion switch is the god switch.

  • @Bloatful

you're a piece of fucking shit pro, learn grammar asnd then think about speaking in public you fucking primate!

  • @theGuyYouHate01 lmao who the fuck are you? :') please go away internet person. sorry, internet scumbag.

  • @Bloatful

It just pisses me off when i go to find a review of something i might possibly want to buy, and then i SEE A FUCKING SLOW WITTED COMMENT LIKE YOURS THAT FUCKING DISCOURAGES ME FROM DOING SO!! LEARN HOW TO FUCKING SPELL BRA!!!

  • @theGuyYouHate01 quite blatantly a troll. but there really isnt anything wrong with my spelling...i mean for a troll is that all you have? its kinda weak. its hardly slow witted either, i was implying its awesome. im also not a "bra". now please, go away you nigger/troll/red neck trash. :)

  • @Bloatful

RACIST PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT, SUCK MY DICK YOU CUNT FUCK HOLE, YOU'RE THE TROLL, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE, YOU'RE VERY EXISTANCE IS THE TROLL THAT SOCIETY HATES

  • @theGuyYouHate01

    that'd explain it :)

    take care mate

  • some1 help i need a good metal pedal that like i can play metallica stuff on

  • @CianBrilliantWhelan depending on the amp you use either this or the fullbore metal are very good when it comes to metal, for modern it's better the mxr fullbore, but the metal muff is just as good, you should try either one

  • Can somebody help me please?? I play songs from three days grace, avenged sevenfold etc but i cant find a distortion pedal that i can use for those bands. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks :D

  • @mazu1996 this or the fullbore metal or the t rex bloody mary are very good pedals, however they are pedals, for absolute quality buy an engl powerball for 1600 euros or mesa boogy or peavey!

  • Nice to see a demo where the full range of the pots are shown - well done dude

    TheRumRunner

  • This is how an effect pedal demo should be.... well done

  • Great Pedal, I will go for it.

  • Pretty good idea to loop one riff and turning the nobs to it.

  • You know that feel when you are stuck, and can't decide... Fullbore, Metal Muff or Micro Metal muff?

  • Please demo every pedal ever, just like this. The book on pedal demoing has been written. No showing off, just play the damn thing! Awesome vid, bro

  • Super Demo! I was wondering, which metal pedal is best, the Metal Muff, Fullbore metal or the Blackstar HT-distx? Thanks for any response : )

  • @Tastaturist fullbore is a disgrace blackstar is awesome and this is too, its up to you

  • @MFG666EmOTP Thanks! I think I'll go for the Blackstar ;)

  • Excellent demo.

Playing a loop then tweaking ALL knobs so we can hear the FULL range of this effect.

Instead of someone yabbing on and making just a few tweaks.

    PERFECT !!

    THANKS

  • What are your settings on the amp? And I have mine on the clean channel but it doesnt get much dist as this.

  • Got to sell my MT2 for this

  • @dharzfreeman Same shit here man ;)

  • @beitland12345

yeah, this one is another level

but my rig is mostly BOSS pedals except KH WAH

Anyway satisfaction fit's us most than a brand

  • @dharzfreeman Agreed ;)

  • Killer Demo Dude! I just got my "Muff" today :) & am playing it through my Peavey Bandit 112 90's ("Teal-Stripe" Scorpion Equipped) & my Jackson Kelly KE-3.......All I can say about this Pedal is O.M.G.! Insane M-E-T-A-L Dudes! Mess around with it for awhile & im sure you will Find that "Killer Metal Sound" your looking for! Of course it will sound different for everyone considering what Amp you have (Tube or S/S) & also what Pup's your Axe has. The Top Boost really brings it out!

  • This is what a product-demonstration has to be. Not so much bullshit-talking like in most of the official and unofficial demos.

Very well done, here you can really well and fluently see/hear how it works in the settings.

  • nice method of doing a demo. great idea. cheers!

  • excelent review method !! :D

  • dude tabs plz?

  • Make a demo of the BOSS MD-2

  • @Kovixisme alright , thanks bro xD

  • Why aren't all demo exactly like this one? Perfect!!!

  • i gotta question , is this pedal better than boss metal zone mt2 ?? cuz i wanna buy it.

    any suggestions ??

  • @alexpunk2010

I'd recommend getting this or an Ibanez tube king.

  • @guitarluth216 thanks man xD

  • Okey then.. Time to save some money so I can buy this :D

  • i have the this pedal and its not bad but i must say its not the best for the price, don't get be wrong it sound pretty good but you can do better, its just a little to trebley for me.....i am getting the mxr fullbore metal and i going to make a comparison video soon, so if you want to find out witch is better check it out.

  • metal muff for life and an amazing review too! showed me a new way to use my muff

  • great pedal review, thats all the info i wanted and you delivered without saying a word.

  • OMFG DAMN O_O

  • dude... that is an orgasmic distortion there... i have the metal zone and honestly it sucks im considering this and the metal core but idk which i should go with... i want a metal core sound favorite bands include- all that remains, killswitch engage, parkway drive, and as ilay dying

  • @metalmonstamikettt The Boss metal core is pretty good for well, metal core.

  • This is the best review of a guitar pedal I have ever seen. I agree with rubbadude, if you do the same with other pedals we'll have no need to turn elsewhere for reviews.

  • thanks a lot, and you dont talk or try to be cool like somebody else, just show how it works.so pro
