  • and the other give away study engine note and the actual flight. sounds like a roll but plane is only moving slightly

  • i studied it and aparently the give away is the point it lands and the taxi is 2 diffrent takes. the recording jumps as it would on two takes

  • dont think the white helmet stands as proof ,..could be sun reflection it does reflect in same manour on other places of cockpit glass.!

  • ORGASM

  • @whotaughtyou You mean FAKE ORGASM

  • For those who think its fake, duh of course it is, but its not impossible.

When flying a Remote control airplane, as long as the air frame is designed properly you can actually do this maneuver, just not with a real airplane.

  • still don't know or really care,if fake they have a future in film's mabye?

  • Just Youtube Making-Of the Killa Thrill 'One Wing Landing' Viral Video

  • Replay the video. Does anyone hear a audible click sound as the wing breaks off? Also we know the fuel is stored in the wings. I see no fuel vapor and when the aircraft lands there appears to be no aileron wires or such protruding from the fuselage. Also as the aircraft taxis to a stop, there appears to be no wind behind the prop. Look at the grass. Stand behind any aircraft as it runs up,it gets kinda breezy.

  • before it looses a wing the left wing says nothing after it looses a wing the left wing says killa.

  • A real aircraft could not pull this knife edge maneuver with one wing anyway due to power to weight ratio, only an rc aircraft with a big engine is capable of doing this.

  • This was a commercial for Killathrill jeans. The video is edited to end before the company logo appears.

  • It's fake....look this title up, Making-Of the Killa Thrill 'One Wing Landing' Viral Video

  • @tonynash22 The plane at the end of that video isn't even the same color as the plane in this video. Double fake perhaps?

  • there is not enough proof to convince me, up to my understanding, the plane is real (part2)

    4. no white helmet before the plane land - as I said, the white helmet you sew before the accident is only the light reflection

    FLIGHT TRAINING:

as far as I know, flying with one wing is not impossible

Cadet pilot is trained to recover the plane with one wing stalling, there the plane only has one wing to generate uplifting power, it is the similar situation in the video.

  • there is not enough proof to convince me, up to my understanding, the plane is real

    1. white helmet - the white spot which you believed to be helmet, seems to be the light reflection on glass window, I agree that all pilots in airshow wear helmet, but there is no way to know the color in the video

    2. fuzzy frame - the plane flew away from camera, so it takes time for camera to focus at distant

    3. wing release - no way to prove this is done by remote

  • You are totally right. And we never see on the real airplane the lost wing because this side of the aircraft is hidden.

  • some other proves this is fake: in the beginning it has a white line on the nose and it also (the nose) got another angle then in the end of the clip. And it don`t got a white line on the nose in the end.

  • its on flight simulator

  • thats some good RC plane flying tho!

  • The comment "where's his right wing" is so false and gave it away for me the first time I saw this. No oscars for her performance. And the guy shouting RUUUNNNNNN! at the end is so comical.

People would have far more horrified reactions if this were real.

  • Any real pilot can tell that this video is FAKE because after that wing got separated from the plane there were no strings, wires, cords, cables or any kind of internal parts hanging out .

I am testing acrobatic planes since I was 20 and believe that this kind of landing will brake the plane apart.

    Nice try !

  • Yes, it's fake. but everything after when the model goes out of view is all CGI, It is so obviously CGI. It only works from a distance, but up close it is easy to tell it is CGI.

  • What you should've put is 'Fake Gay Plane looses right wing'!

  • also, the gear would have either broken off or gotten jammed into the plane on that landing.

  • I can't believe how many people thought that thing was real. PPL is so stupid. Another big clue is the OP is censoring the posts.

  • Look for

    Jim Bourke One Wing Landing

  • I have experience with both Full scale and models. The way you put it is wrong. The fly by was a model. Then when the wing broke of was all computer. Then once the engine stops and the plane is at rest its a real plane with computer generated graphics.

If the model had lost its wing and landed. Thats been done before. But he went into a "death spin" and with one wing is impossible to recover from.

Sorry the video is fake and your theory is wrong.

  • haahahhaahaha at first i thought it was real !!! GOOD JOB :))!!

  • SO FAKE!!!!!!

  • um would you move after that dumb shit.... i was at that air show xD so if you wanna make your self loomk cool i recomend knowing shit...

  • It's easy to see that the plane in the end doesn't match with the environment. I mean, the colorcorrection is off. When that last person is running towards the plane, I find it easy to see that he is running towards a greenscreen. Just have a closer look at it and you'll see the outlining. And why so out of focus? It's as if the cameraman is a mile or two away and zooming to far. Yet you can hear the plane is right there!

  • Not saying it isn't fake, but the 'white helmet' is just a sun glare.

  • I can believe it's a model but there is a blur right before the landing that clearly looks like a switch to CGI. The plane doesn't look real nor does it appear to follow physics anymore.

  • Sorry dude, that "white helmet" is the sun's reflection. If you look at the perspective of the aircraft compared to the length of the grass or the buildings in the background you will see that the only way that was a model landing is if it were a full scale model. Not everything that looks like it is hard to believe is actually fake.

  • It's fake...Behind the scenes video to the right---->

  • wonder where the cables, fuel lines, main wingspar are??...Where the seperation of the wing from the fuselage is very clean and unrealistic. If you had something like this happen you would see twisted metal. I believe that this type of plane has a main wingspar that runns the entire whith of the plane, so you could never have a clean spereation like you see on this video. It's a r/c plane rigged to drop the wing

  • It's a hoax but not for any of the reasons this guy thinks. There is no swap of model plane, it's the model the entire time. The effect is at the end when the dude opens the hatch, that's a comp. their is no white helment either, its the specular kick bouncing off the canopy. the phony smoke trail is a give away too.... nice try.

  • He's right, if you go to the original video, you'll see that at about six seconds, your "white helmet" is really a sun spot that's half on/half off the cock-pit. However, the landing is DEFINITELY what shows this to be faked. The first bounce is violent and, in a normally sized plane, would have been several feet, easily. However if you watch closely, you can see that after the initial bounce, the plane seems to not only skip a few frames while coming back into focus, but actually rides smoothly

  • Thats a sun spot not a white helmet..

  • You can do this very easily in a rc plane but the landings dont look like that

  • aerobaticjules, you've obviously fell for a fake video. I suppose right up to the point of the landing, this could've been "as real as it gets", but the landing itself was as fake as it gets. 'Tell you what, why don't you find out where and when this 'event' occurred, and there will be a report from the agency that investigates these incidents. Many trade magazines will have also featured the aircraft and the pilot, IF the landing is real. Since you feel so positive about it, look them up.

  • I don't know man... I still think its fake but for different reasons

  • Fake and gay

  • Really well done imo

  • This video needs to add a couple of things to support the hoax, at 0:18 note the white line above the red as well as the nose cone design. at 1:10 different nose and the white line is completely missing.

  • YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS good showing that it was fake

  • Hi guys,

You can find the making of this viral marketting video Here

    watch?v=naSZBdJoEbM

    See also this

    watch?v=0RMqDP_HJyk

  • What makes it fake:

Wing lost in a relatively low-stress maneuver.

The plane bounced way too high and in an unrealistic way on the landing

Notice how you cannot tell if there is a right wing or not in the end

  • the whole thing is cgi, durrrr

  • @deevlash no it isnt is it >?see the "making of" video yet?brilliant boys with loads of talent but not cgi at all .

  • @babzc

apart from the bits that look like theyre drawn in crayon.

  • @deevlash okay young sir , that was very funny and i actually did LOL. today you win the brilliance prize!

  • apart from the bits that look like theyre drawn in crayon

  • also there is a white stripe at the beginning of the video at the front of the plane and it is clearly lost at the end...go figure

  • I don't even see how this is an argument it looks like 1990's CGI

  • gutted i thought this was real an some very good piloting, thanks for ruining it

  • just watched this on tv and its fake. it is computer generated

  • gosstony is right. Looks like switch back from model to full size aircraft is at 1:08. Probably even the model didn't make a clean landing. Apparent speed of knife edged aircraft near ground is much too slow for a full size aircarft. Also, the full size plane is taxied with one wing removed and there is no sign of structural damage where the wing is missing, as one would expect. Clever fake people, you sucked me in, but cuts in editing could have been better.

  • @gjpercy I second that about the glitched landing, but I think they still use a model in the shot after 1:08.

If you watch the plane land, the huge bounce makes it look way to light. Then at about 1:12, the plane clearly taxis off camera, the lens mysteriously goes out of focus when the plane's range hasn't changed, and then the shot refocuses on a noticeably taller aircraft with the right wing mysteriously out of view. At this point we see the ailerons move in a way that to me looks real

  • 1st you say there is a white helmet, and then he lands and you say - see no helmet, and then say and he gets out without helmet...what was your point? And I suppose at the end when they traded the scene back to the real plane, did they go and make an exact background with the same proportions for the model plane?

  • its real!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • Most of switch back to real is a jump cut @ ~1:10 That's y there's no bounce.

  • Out of all the observations, you used the helmet color? Basic aerodynamics is enough to make this video unreal.

  • white helmet: it's the sun glow.

What you mean by replacing air plane?... you don't have to blur anything thing replace air plane in a movie clip. ...................Even this is fake or not Your reasoning is lame.

  • as you can see front of the plane at the beginning is different than when he landed.

  • You're explanation that it is a fake might be more convincing if you could spell maneuver! Perhaps once you've visited 57 of the 59 states like the Big O you'll be able to do so (at least with a teleprompter...) Ha!!!

  • @belokurs

A random place for such an attack but I see where ur coming from.

  • haha the camera operator shows no surpirse whatsoever when they say "err wheres its right wing err" but still nice fake lol

  • ............ if you idiots think the landing looks legitimate you need to take some physics classes.

  • to every one saying CGI original video was not that involved who ever made this vid did a good job flying a R/C like that isn't that hard there are much harder things that can be done with R/C and why would you use a CGI plane at the end that would be pointless and a wast of time

  • There was never a real aircraft used in the entire making of this video

  • @flanksteak5

Right, the guy climbed out of a modle....

  • That white spot on the canopy was the sun glare reflection. Look at frame 0:18 No white helmet just like at the end No white helmet. What you saw was just the sun glare hitting the canopy.

  • Well its blatantly a fake. Heres my reason: When the aircraft lands, is it me or is the cameraman running along the edge of the runway to keep up with the aircraft?

  • @philipmtall

I think the plane is going around the camera guy, even a moddle will go much faster than a person can run, escecially if they're aiming a camera @ it.

  • @gosstony well that runway is rather curved then.

  • @philipmtall

it wasn't always over the runway

  • The "alleged" white helmet is swimply sunglare. Note that it does not maintain any consistent shape. For you would be physicists, this is called cross controlling or landing by putting the aircraft in a "slip. This real so get over it.

  • This plane is not a model but ALL cgi! And there is no real plane at the begining or end :s

  • pilota was shouting real loud

  • ANF there is not that white stripe when its landing ;D

  • nice CGI until 1:00, looked crap then.

  • You can see the use of greenscreen and chroma key easily. Especially if you have worked with it before...

  • Not fake...I was the pilot who landed that plane!!

  • what a fake!!!

  • There never was a white helmet. That is glare from the sun!!!

  • Obviusly fake even with model aircraft ive had a wing failure and i had no controll no matter how much aileron rudder and elevator i used. and if that woz a real plane a landing like that wud have snapped the wheels or at least tipped it on its nose.

  • Quem pilota sabe que tudo isso e imposivel coisa de gringo BOIOLA so

  • It definitely looks animated at points. I would think even landing a model plane with one wing would be next to impossible.

  • next to...but not actually impossible. All you need to fly is source of lift; usually created by the flow of air over wings making pressure lighter on top, this lifting the plane. as long as it stays moving and has one wing, it can still stay somewhat aloft. The hard part is to shift the center of gravity so one side isn't lifted while the other falls, forcing a corkscrew.

  • jbourk or whatever his name is made it. Its real-fantastic video

  • R u guys fing retards? after the fuzzy frame, it became computer animated. If it was a real model, the plane would glare in the sun, and the landing would have totally broken the "model" up. Its computer animated

  • this video is faked by a german tv show with the name Galileo. they changed the real plane with a rc plane. FAKE!!!

  • the plane lands and the white stripe over the orange is gone and the front of the plane is a drifrent angle wen it lands to and he it just looks animated

  • thanks! before before you showed me that video i thought it was real

  • tht is fake u can tell by the landing

  • How could an RC plane land without a FREAKIN WING?!?!?!

  • I thought it was made from CGI like the popular '737 crashes into the Mediterranean sea'.

  • I am sorry to say tek1001 doesn't know what he is talking about. Have you ever flown a real aeroplane??. IF the aircraft had enough power to fly on knife edge like that and its a big IF. The airframe would break up when you put it down as hard as that toy lands.

  • @aerobaticjules You've obviously never had a hard landing while flying. This is as real as it gets, it wasn't the first that this has happened and it's probably not the last either. I do fly, I have had unbelievably hard landings and my plane's airframe DIDN'T break up.

  • Look for

    Jim Bourke One Wing Landing

  • RE: "White helmet gone" comment.

...Nonsense, If you look close enough, the white helmet is there, but darkened by shade probably because of the angle he is at relative to the sun after landing.

  • There is one OVERWHELMING proof that this is not fake and something the fool who made this video failed to notice... as the plane lands and just above the runway we can clearly see that the wing is gone. The plane lands. At NO TIME did the camera point away from the plane to a view away from the scene ALL THE WAY up to when the pilot is clearly seen landing & opening the cockpit door and a person is seen running up towards the plane. The is total continuity of video from landing to the end.

  • fake or not, it would be cool to hear the facts from the person that got out of the plane :) stop arguing people :))) its just a video :))

  • Computers can do some amazing things..

I dont see an RC airplane here..

  • HAHA idiot, you just couldve watched "Galileo", a german television show, where they created that fake video to show how fast rumors spread on the internet! They wanted people to discuss and to provoke people like you who analyze the video and show the people that it's fake. ;-) So no offense, but you've been tricked by them ;)

  • Hey ! It's like 9/11 : something happened but nothing is real !

  • What a load of complete bullshit! You are claiming a series of events that DO NOT appear in the video. There is no frame showing the aircraft being replaced with a model (way to blurry to tell), you have no proof that the wing was released by remote control, the "knife edge manoevre" as you call it means nothing and even if true, was still done with a wing missing, white helmet would not be visible due to glare, and even if a model, it was still landed with ONE wing. Sorry dude, you're wrong.

  • tek1001 you are right. farcoffs is a typical know it all / smart ass bullshitter. He mentions the absence of the white helmet. Having no evidence - he just draws this right out of the blue. The helmet never was there as the white in the cockpit is the sky reflecting on the outside of the canopy. This is not an impossible recovery. Dont ' belieive me

  • Ooooooops! I hit the wrong button and youtube posted my comment before i was finished....here is the ending....Don't beleive me?

Check out the following, RJ Gritter Makes RC History with One-Wing landing

  • tek1001 you are correct this analysis is 100% bullshit. If anyone thinks this is fake - check out, RJ Gritter Makes RC History with One-Wing Also, if one looks there are mores of these landings

  • you now way he is not whearing a helmet because he is scerd

  • nice bust

  • eyy i dont know a damn thing about air planes but that hard landing would give you several damages on your neck + break the landing gear

  • dude its not even a RC plane, this is computer generated, u dont think people now days cant render hollywood effects at there home?

  • The plane change and frame jump is made at 1:09

  • well, it might be fake,, i think it is,, but why does the pilot have to be wearing a white helmet?? there are other colored helmets right??

  • Crab&Slip... a handle like that and you don't know P-factor?

  • How is it that if the right breaks up, the aircraft rotates to the left. Wouldn't the left wing produce more lift and rotate to the right?

  • On most planes, yes. But the wing of a stunt plane is mounted at a near-zero angle of incidence and has a symmetrical camber. With the stick deflected to the right that huge aileron will move up and create a lot of "downward" lift. Plus, the clockwise rotation of the propeller causes a tendency to roll and yaw to the left. The wings act to stabilize the roll axis, so the LTT is expressed mostly as yaw. With one wing missing, the wing surface area is halved, and a lot of that stability is lost.

  • yea that is verry true but as you know its still fake beacuse on a real aircraft unless its a jet fighter, or a modle airplane, the engine and prop do not create enough thrust to support the aircraft as it was being supported in this animated vidio, and regardless of control cerface and wing desighn, the aircraft would have little to no cuntrol, and at the point the nose dropped, there would be no way to really get the nose back up like he did, good point though XD

  • "unless its a jet fighter or a modle" what is a modle? And It is very easy to see you know nothing about planes. How does Sean Tucker hang his Pitts on the prop for over 2 mins at a time? If we all beleave you then we are not really seeing Sean hang on his prop at the real air shows. Yes this might be fake but a stunt plane can hang on the prop and it could be flown to the ground in knife edge. The nose could be pulled back up without wings by full power and a lot of rudder.

  • jet fighter as in a fighter plane that is powerd by jet engines, tipacly fore example the f22, the engines create more weight in thrust allowing the aircraft to fly vertically without falling! and modle airplane as in remote cuntorled, there eregular power to weight ratio allows them to fly vertically, why dont you just shut the hell up beacuse as far as im cunsurned you dont know what i am talking about let alone what is going on, how is a plane going to pull up if it isnt creating enough lift?

  • You don't know much about airplanes or the way they fly.How many hrs to you have at the controls of a stunt plane? I have over 1500hrs. I own a stunt plane you can look it up at the FAA web site it is N9117. It is a EAA Biplane and yes it will hang on the prop!!!

  • also to add the types of airplanes that can fly vertacally without falling are usualy modified to do so, this is a racing plane, like the cirris extra 300, thay cannot fly vertically without stalling specualy at an angle like it was there, SO SHUT THE HELL UP AND QUIT ASUMING I KNOW NUTHING ABOUT AIRCRAFT BEACUSE I AM DAMN SURE I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT! and if you have anything els to say go ahed, beacuse your already making yourself look like more of a fool

  • Yes a stunt plane does have the thrust to weight to pull vertical and to hover in flight!! If you will look up Sean Tucker on YouTube or take time to go to a airshow to see Sean in person then you will know that a stunt plane can and will hover and pull vertical out of hover.

  • yep for short periouds of time, sean tuckers airplane is costom made to, thats what makes it so cool, look at it, its a 400hp airplane motor on a tiny little aircraft frame, i think the plane ways no more than a small car, however with aircraft like in this movie its not exacly the same, specualy the way the pilot in the movie did it, besides this movie obveously fake anyhow. XD

  • AS for pulling up it never did pull up. The pilot put it into a knife edge a move where the plane is flying on the side of the fuselage and the thrust of the prop. Yes I agree this is a fake but It could be did with the right pilot and plane. If you are saying that no plane can do it then how the hell did the F15 land with one wing? By the way don't you have a spelling checker or do you know as much about computers as your planes? "cuntorled tipacly modle eregular beacuse cunsurned isnt"

  • ok listen and listen good, im sure the f15 didnt land in the manner this plane did in this movie or it would have busted its landing gears, jet aircraft are capible of landing in that manner beacuse thay fly at such high speeds, and there engines create so much thrust, also, it doesent matter what you do, when your wing busts of on a plane like that, you are dumed, the type of prop driven aircraft you are thinking of, are costom made or modified to do stuff like that, just like tuckers biplane

  • ps... you have no room to degrade my knolage of aircraft or inglish "this is a fake but It COULD BE DID with the right pilot and plane." dont you mean could be done? shut up, you can say what you want about me, but as far as i am consurned, you have no room to talk, beacuse your getting everything mixed up that i say. i realize it could be done with the right pilot and plane, but as i was trying to say long before, this is not the RIGHT PLANE!!!

  • That dickhead "angryace13" is all of 19 years old, and he talks like he has a lifetime of knowledge. When it comes to aviation, I've FORGOTTEN about more than he KNOWS about aircraft. What a little twit.

  • I was about to make that point. I've seen a Pitts Special S-1A do that trick. This may well have been cleverly faked, but I'm 100% convinced it could be done for real.

  • Check at landning were wing should sitt, this construktion uses on model, real plane has a rectangle shape on wing beam, nice attempt

  • The pilot wasn't wearing his helmet because he lost it after losing his wing at 0:40-0:45

When I first saw this, I thought it was real, but with hesitations. Had reviewed the video a few times, but YouTube quality being what it is, never could find anything. You just showed me that I missed the obvious :)

  • yes its Fake iv seen the rc clip :D

  • This is a fake made for a German clothing company. Just before the wing falls off, it switches to an R/C model. After the landing, it switches back to a real plane. By using freeze frame, you can see major differences in the planes.

You can also look this up on the Snopes site.

  • Si vede da un miglio che è un rc plane..

cmq il pilota è stato bravo comunque!!!

  • yea you are right

it is from the TV-show Galileo to show what idiots think its real

  • Hey, it was a nice try!!

  • Then why was he wearing a white helmet in the begining...."before" you said they switched planes....I beliveve you just wondering about that...

  • and so is Google Chrome for losing the freakin' letters when you type 'your'.

  • Yes it's a fake but so are you edit points. They're wrong.

  • conversely123 is right ... immediately after the real plane turns and shuts down, the pilot opens the canopy and he isn't wearing a helmet. He didn't have time to take one off!

Still fake though! The real tell-tale is the shape of the nose and spinner of the model which don't match those of the real plane.

Nice flying of an RC plane though!

  • its a fake from the german tv :D.. at this moment i see it on tv..

  • Keen eye mate, although I don't agree on one of your points,(Helmet) Fake video yes, but not as fake as James Anderson interview, well done, I like your keen interest in model and real planes.

  • Just rewatched the video. It's not a white helmet, it's just a sun reflection on the canopy. Check it out at 18 seconds; no white helmet.

    Definately a fake video though.

  • Good video! I'd not noticed the white helmet either! Nice one!

    Here's my debunking video:

    /watch?v=qvBep7-gi5s

  • The splice at the end was excellent, if you slow down the speed of the clip to 40% you will notice two separate 3 blade props with one advancing slightly.

  • Good eye! Thanks for sorting this out. I thought the bounces on the landing looked like a lightweight toy instead of something as heavy as an aircraft. I had not noticed the helmet, nor the stiff "pilot" head on landing. The person who did the fake, though, did a good job on splicing from the model to the real a/c at the end, don't you think? I couldn't see that.
