  • I might go with plywood for the 2x12 - but just because that dimension is not available in the shops i normally go to. and I have loads of spare ply. And I have to wait building one to I have a bigger shop ;o).. Number one on the wish list! Number two after the shop is a table like this. Thanks for posting!

  • @HOOKEDONWOOD That 2x12 pine is actually 1.5x11.5. But two pieces of ply glued and screwed together would be super stout. Like I said in the intro, I just wanted to use this project with the wide variety of operations to get the creative juices flowing. I can't wait to see the variations people are going to build. In all the years I have been building I have never made a perfect piece. Perfection is the siren song of the woodworker :)
