I'm from one of former Soviet Union's neighbor countries (only one never conquered by Stalin) and we know some things about slavery as seen from close distance.

@UkkoA There was no "slavery". There was just good government. I live in Bulgaria, a country which aspired to become a Soviet Socialist Republic, under Stalin. Stalin also agreed, yet he sadly, didn't live long enough for us to be able to fufil this. After that, we didn't get another opportunity. All leaders died before we could join the USSR, we then completeley abandoned this, when Gorbachov came to power, as we disagreed with both perestroika and glasnost.
