Ey why about mac OS i want to buy the HDR XR200 but i heard that software is not compatible with apple, but my Q is if is possible to use final cut or imovie to import or just drag the video directly from the HDs camera

@Ness935 you dont need the software ;) you can use power director 8 to record it to the pc and cut it with adobe after effects or sony vegas ;)

@bad0or yes you can make it slow motion with (for example) sony vegas - after effects or power director 8 or you can record it slow motion with a camera funktion ;) have fun !

@bad0or yes the xr200 takes slow mo but it's really really crappy quality, apparently to account for the high framerate. I don't recommend relying on it for good slowmo. The framerate's high enough that you can slow clips down to 60 or 70 percent before you notice splicing.

yeah i bought that long time ago and i can see how crappy it was with slow motion.. with the 3 seconds making it 10 seconds in slow motion.. anyway the handycam is really great except the slowmotion.. but something is better than none at all.. apparently its for advertising to buy other cams that have a better slowmotion thats how sony makes it those bastards.. thanks for the reply, peace

1 min is about 100mb in HD resolution, too much for an internet upload....

@threetonesb watch my videos i filmed much of them with my sony hdr xr-200 - it isnt too much! i have a 2k internet connection and it olny costs much time but the resolution is 1080p youtube HD :) if you have questions pn me :)

Sony xr-500 is definitely better, low light video is better compared to xr200, but its more expensive and bigger. If budget isn't a problem I recommend xr-500. Or you can look at cx-500 which is almost the same as xr-500 but uses flash memory instead of hdd.

nope you can't. you can only stop and play. anywayz you can merge your videos on a video editor if you want.
