I never knew that Cissy Houston was part of this group, and was one of the founders, or THE FOUNDER, according to the search engine. She and Dionne Warwick's mom. Wow!! the things one learns on You Tube. Thanks for posting this.
Oops !!!...Clanger time again!! It was Eve Graham and Lyn Paul...of course!! I couldn't remember and I made the mistake of looking it up on line!! Of course it didn't sound right, but now the penny's dropped and it's come back to me and i've finished kicking myself...here's the correction..before somebody else beats me to it!!
Comment Part 2...I'll keep looking for the Nocturnes version, still excellent, too.
The nocturnes had the 2 girl singers Eve Graham and Sandra Stevens who later on in the 70s, turned up in The New Seekers. They (also as The Nocturnes) also released a very good version of Jim Webbs "Carpet Man" originally by 5th Dimension (Who else??!!)
Comment part 1...Wow!!! Fantastic song...fantastic performance!!! I was looking for the UK group The Nocturnes version of this from 1967, but I've found what sounds like the original version. This is real shiver down the spine stuff!!! If it doesn't do it for you, i feel seriously sorry for you!!!
I 've been bad, can I get a spanking !

I was telling a friend how Whitney's mom and cousin were part of the legacy that inspired her to climb so high.
