When it's time to open safari do you just press the safari app? When I do I just get the normal menu? Why is that? I got safari plug in installed.

i had that problem too with windows media player taking over. i found that if you just go to phonezoo.com you can get any ringtones and just email them to yourself (you can do this directly from your iphone) then open your email (from your iphone) and press and hold the link for the file until a message pops up giving you the option to "open in ifile" click that and then just copy and paste the file into the library/ringtones folder. :-)

p.s. you still need ifile! :-)

How do you tell which song is which in ifile???? I have a ton to choose from. The purpose of doin this is to take the hassle away, correct? the only way I know to decipher between the phobos file is by trying each url 1 by 1 which is MUCH more of a hassel than using a CPU -_- I saw your suggestion of deleting mediacache, I see some other files that are associated with other apps in my mediacache folder. If I delete it will it fuck something up in my other apps?

It does not seem to work when you preview a ringtone clip, .m4p format. But, if you preview the normal song which ends in a .m4a format it seems work.

This works perfectly for me as long as the file I've streamed and downloaded is an m4a file. However, if the file I've downloaded is an m4p file it doesn't even play? Anyone else run into this problem.... Know this, if you click on the ringtones tab, those files are m4p files. If you search for a song.. those are m4a files.

even if you get a different file name when you download the ringtone all you have to do is change the extension to m4r and it will play.

Sure ill look into it but it may not even be possible because you have to convert any song to .caf format so it can be a txt tone. I don't think the phone can convert files to .caf

You can delete the mediacache folder every time you finish doing a ringtone so it resets all of the .plist
