Not the band I had in mind when I typed in "The Chariot"....but these guys are awesome!

yeah, these guys don't do much for me. I can't help but feel as if I've heard all of their music before. It feels very generic. I wouldn't compare them to DragonForce, though. I like DragonForce a lot, but these two bands are different beasts, mainly that DragonForce is almost exclusively up-tempo and fast-paced while these guys have a more deliberate beat. They remind me a lot of Kamelot. However, I prefer Kamelot, even if Dark Moor has been around longer.

Power Metal has been around for a long time, but while I'm sorry about people unfairly comparing this and DragonForce (They actually seem to have little in common but the fact they share a genre), I feel people are being a little harsh to DragonForce. They remind me a lot of Iron Maiden who you could say were the grandfathers of Power Metal.

But this song if pretty good, I like the mixed vocals, not something you see in Metal often.

I do love DF, and I will disagree, the songs do have soul, imo. How ever, I do agree, shuffling Dark Moor makes for an interesting find every time. Whilst shuffling DF feels the same over and over. (Which, I should add, is exactly what I want at times.)

The video is a bit of a disappointment when you've been listening to the song almost non-stop for a few weeks. Really love the Tarot album, although I think the older albums had less of a Kamelot-feel to them. I don't really dig Kamelot for that matter, but my BF does and boy does he like the Tarot album :)

I think Dark Moor falls under Symphonic Metal. The vocals are stronger and more independent than that of most Melodic songs, and not as harsh as Death Metal. Also, they incorporate orchestral sounds into their music.

Very few bands can truly be labeled under Symphonic Metal, and I really think Dark Moor is one of them.

The old Nightwish is a great example of Symphonic Metal.
