As a person who loves words and thoughts and feelings, I can really appreciate this video. The book was awesome but the movie (when alot of movies fall short) captured the book very beautifully. Wynona really got into the character and even though Angie's part was the "bright and shiny object" in the film, I related much more to the "Suzanna" character. All in all it is one of my top ten favorite films of all time!! Brittany Murphy R.I.P. (She really did great in the film as well)

I like this film and these lines. That poem is so great and really profound I think. The background music fits quite well, although I don't get the part with the guns shooting and crashing of glass.

I relate to this movie because I have been in an instution before. I know exactually what it is like and the movie is pretty much right on that. I am Skitzophrenic and have Multiple Personalities. I got out of there because I finally got on the right meds and can now function half ass normally. It was a very good movie and my ultimate fav!

Yes, bipolar disorder, insomnia, anxiety, ADD, and depression. I was diagnosed @ 17 and was also in and out of hospitals until I was 19. I met my bf and he changed my life, I haven't been back in the hospital thanks to him, but I still suffer from all of this. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like it will ever go away :(. I've been having depression/sleeping problems ever since I was a little girl anyway, so basically I was born like this.

Damn!!! You and I have a lot in common. I have Bipolar Disorder, Insomnia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Schizophrenia. I've been ill since I was around 2 or 3 years old but back then, doctors couldnt do much to help. They did everything they could including hospital time but they couldnt diagnose me. When I hit teenhood, I was finally able to get answers and I'm very thankful. But anyway, glad to know I'm not the only broken person lol. Nice to meet you. My name is Alyce

Both. It is one of my favorite movies with characters that I sadly do relate to. The movie does offer hope though which is why I like it even more.

same here; Girl Interrupted & Luc Besson's original La Femme Nikita are my most favourite movies.. I've seen similarities in my life at some stages with those women.. Susanna Kaysen's story aah! became addicted to the book.. there's an amazing Winona & Angelina interview about Girl Interrupted at Charlie Rose..
