But then, you have Fuld at Bear Sterns who took a few hundred million and fired everyone else... and start going down the lines with Countrywide and AIG, and guess who is running the board. I can't understand how so many people and institutions (even NYU) could entrust huge funds to an individual and still sleep nights knowing it's uninsured. Shouldn't the large abd consistent returns year after year in good times and bad set off alarm bells? I would put the money in T-bills even at zero interest so as to at least protect the principal. I guess greed trumps caution.
