  • up to how many miles/km does the warning siren sound travel?

  • This is a P10.

  • i live in west chester

  • it annoys me that cities looooove to replace these older sirens. If it were me, I'd stand up to those people and say, "hey!" ignore Federal signal!" they're to lasy to continue making duel toned sirens! they should at least take them down and restore them, not let federal signal possess them like a demon. That's my complaint against Federal signal

  • This has to be out of site i have never seen it :P

  • Where was this siren located?

  • Is the new siren on the same tower?

  • @JMAN123436 Nope. The tower is still there, but the T-128 is mounted on a wooden telephone pole behind the building the tower is sitting on.

  • @nickrusche what's the new one?

  • @2010seamus American Signal

  • Nick you might want to put an update in the description that its gone now

  • @carexpertandy Thanks Andy!

  • Why do they do a growl

  • @PGMEagle A friend of mine who also films siren tests, JPressman8 said they checking to see if the sirens receive the radio signal. In other words, they are checking to see if the sirens are working before the test.

  • @PGMEagle A friend of mine who also films siren tests, Jpressman8, told me one time the EMA is checking to see if the siren is working. I think that is why they do the growl.

  • well, that's a nice siren! Thumbs up!

  • I bet this siren is very loud

  • @PGMEagle Yes it was! However, on February 10th, it was replaced with a American Signal T-128 which is also a very loud siren.

  • XD this is a chuck norris sized alarm, its bigger then idustrial its THE CHUCK NORRIS SIZE!

  • Your welcome this was a pretty cool vid too

  • I noticed after I watched it and sorry if that sounded like I was being an asshole

  • @YOUxFUCKxCATS That's okay! When Hamilton County does the growl test, you never know how early it will be, usually about 5 minutes till noon. Also, this siren was about half-an-hour away from where I live, and I wanted to get there in time. Thanks again for your apology!!

  • Ever heardif editing? We had to wait 4 minutes

  • @YOUxFUCKxCATS If you were to read the description, you would of seen the times the siren starts.

  • quicker wind up than the P-50s, but then again, those honkers are huge. 6ft projector cone. The motor on that thing must be big to work that thing, so of course it would take longer.

  • awesome video! wish the thunderbolt i filmed did a double growl. White Oak has a broken rotator?

  • @amtrak3501 Thanks! I That's a shame about the White Oak 1000T. That siren is about 1.5 mile away from my house. In November, I recorded the siren ambiance from my back yard. The Attack Cycle was eerie.

  • @nickrusche attack always sounds creepy on thunderbolts. i saw the White Oak thunderbolt after the test, it was facing towards the Senior Center. i saw a couple of Penetrators at Werden, and they seem small when they are on the ground, but powerful sirens. saw the Hurricane in person and man is that horn HUGE!

  • This one is coming down 2nd:(

  • Shame they plan to replace this...

  • This siren sounds great! What time is the test ours in Mn is at 13:00 the 1st. Wed of each month.

  • @dualactionsurgilator 12:00 noon the first Wednesday of every month. It used to be the first and third Wednesdays, but they stopped that so they could be on the same schedule as the surrounding counties

  • Great Video Nick. Too bad this one is coming down. Don't know why they picked this one. There are other sirens that are in worse shape around here.

  • @Jpressman8 That area is also severely lacking in siren coverage right now (particularly all the subdivisions near Mitchell Memorial Forest), so it doesn't make much sense to me either. I wouldn't think a T-128 would be that much louder than a P-15.

  • @Jpressman8 Thanks Jason! Did you see my reply to Andy's comment. I can't believe that he was watching me (even if he was). It was kinda of scary though. It's a shame that the White Oak 1000T has a broken rotator. I hope they fix it one more time.

I hope I can attend all of Clayton's get together this time instead of showing up at the end like last time. It was a great time though.

  • @nickrusche The rotator is'nt broke the breaker is just tripped. Seems to do that when it's below freezing. Clayton seems to think that there may be a bit of water intrusion into the rotator box.

  • Awesome P-15! Awesome video!

  • @mohkfry Thanks!

  • Thats definetly a P15. Awesome video Nick!

  • @carexpertandy Thanks Andy! This one was a hard one to record. The only good place to film it was in the parking lot at the strip mall across the street. There was a Sheriff's Patrol car that stopped facing me. I guess the officer was either working on his computer or seeing what I was doing. Long story short, he didn't say anything to me, but I was a little scared there for a minute. By the way, have you heard any more about Clayton's get together?

  • @nickrusche I have not heard anything else about that
