The Ottoman Empire held their side up and more. If Germany hadnt lost on the Western Front, then Turkey would have held on to the Ottoman Empire and expanded it. The Turkish Army fought well.

Doesn't this "documentary" leave out a large part of the history of those times such as, I don't know, the fact that the British eventually captured Baghdad in 1917, then Jerusalem, Damascus and Mosul in 1917/18 thus forever driving the Turks out of the entire region between the Mediterranean and the Zagros? It is true that Mustapha Kemal eventually rose up to drive the Europeans out of a much reduced Turkish state but weren't the British sipping tea in Constantinople in 1919?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@esalex94 It covers it in later parts of series. The full DVD collection has like 14 something parts, these 5 videos are only part 4. This documentary is probably the best one I have seen on WWI, it is the most in depth and unbiased documentary I have seen on the subject so far.

@gotsda A empire should be judged by it history and its place in history in the entire world of history. In this the Ottoman empire is perhaps one of the Empires that made the world as it is today. One can not say otherwise it was one of the grand powers. Tell me do we view Spain as a failure cause it last its lands and money?
