  • I think both those those chicks are Sexy! to bad the "punk" girls of today are a bunch of obnoxious teen emos.

  • the first two are Iris Berry and Pleasant Gehman, very popular women in the underground world of L.A.

  • 0:51 looks like john candy in drag.

  • This was an MTV 1 hr. special that aired back in '83-ish??? The gigs were filmed at the Olympic in L.A. and I bought some creepers from that shop "Posers" in Hollywood, it was basically what Hot Topic is today. The chick's rage on people that buy from them, buy they have no problem selling the stuff and help make those "Credit Card Punks" that they hate.... Dumb Asses!

  • Those girls are accountants now.

  • You guys are fucking retarded. Punk isn't a fashion.

  • All I see is just girls trying to label everything and take punk for what it isn't. It's not a fashion show!!

  • Ok, but where are the 2 punk girls? What I see is 2 bitches who know nothing about punk culture and are clearly capitalism toys, FUCK OFF FAKE PUNKS!

  • ?????????????? wtf 80s punk ha ha ha only about 10 years too late still better late than never :)

  • @blacksnow150 considering punk started in the late seventies and the biggest punk scene in the world was

in LA in the earlly 80s I dont see how its late.. people only focus on England and New York but LA had by far the

    biggest scene in the world.

  • @virtue696 its late if u were a punk in the early 70s :) ... the reason people focus on the uk is thats where punk started and we had the best bands :). everything is bigger in LAla land ..ps the us band most uk punk bands enterence to the us to play, land of the free my arse

  • are they from orlando??

  • THE GIRL WITH THE BLACK HAIR IS A REAL BABY DOLL.

  • this lot are yanks, they just didn't "GET" British punk ideologies!!

  • so fucking gay...just as bad a when people rip on green day or blink or modern punk bands...these butt heads talk only about fasion and sub genres...FUCK OFF...Dead Kenedys and henry rollins have the right idea

  • @im0mole

You sound like a noob little kid with that last line.

  • @rippercrust i am

  • @im0mole lol butt-heads. classic XD

  • Pleasant is so hot...

  • great time to be young.loud music and sex.arrhhh its shite getting old .

  • retards. this must be mid-late 80s when it was dying.

  • Haha I used to use Knox gelatin to spike my hair in middle school :]

  • urgh, morons.

  • all of these chicks were retarded sluts

  • punk has too many rules for me.accept zillah minx iv lost my love for it sadly.

  • @666lugh maybe not.... however, everyone seems to know what it means or how it looks when somebody says "punk fashion" :) yup!

  • please please visit justiceforGaryCritchley and get involved in the campaign to get justice for this punk squatter of 1980? read his case and see what you think, and please spread the word to your friends and contacts if you'd lilke to help get this sorted?

  • to be punk you don't have 2 have the hIR OR the clothes its a state of mind....but having the hair and the clothes does help

  • I see on youtube a lot of complaint about people clothing being off the normal, and as if that would mean that a mohawk, or a leather jaket, or a jeans full of hole, would mean nothing or just a fashionist kid. WAKE THE FUCK UP !! People may dress whatever they find it cool, fuck that new wave of facism that complains about clothes. fuck all

  • does it really matter where you get your clothes? i mean if you have the right beliefs and your not a mindless drone, isn't that what makes you punk? shit i bought my pants, there i said it, i paid money for bondage pants. come fucking do something about it.

  • @ForgottenRebel77 That's okay friend, you're right. As long as you have the right beliefs that's all that matters. I always laugh at the so called "Punks" who think they're REAL PUNKS because they dress normal. You know? Whether they believe it or not, they're still wearing a uniform. At least if you see a bunch of punks with mohawks and spikes they're different than your average person. When you dress completely normal your just another head in the crowd. But really, we all dress how we like.

  • Is that courtney love?

  • Anyone ever hear the one about "punk being an attitude not a fashion" ?!??

  • @headfullufhell Its a mindstate

  • Hey, you guys goin' on early 80s New Wave, first off, from what I understood back then, there was not really a separate distinction between New Wave and Punk until the suits got involved at the big labels. It was all New Wave, under the same umbrella. And even if the distinction did come about, at least early 80s new wave pop was fucking miles better than the drudgy prog rock the preceeded it. I'd take The Knack and Missing Persons over ELO any day!

  • its funny .....to us hardcore punks Pleasant was such a poser...but she did make it and even as a poser kept the punk history alive....

  • Comment removed

  • LOL I didnt know Anna nicole Smith used to be a punk girl . Reffering to the chick in the with the orange and blond hair.

  • São um blefe estético, estas garotas são apenas desvios estéticos.Não falam com propriedade,não entendem absolutamente nada sobre o post-punk/punk rock real...

  • id say punk was invented by the ramones in the USA but it got big when it hit the UK and the UK was in money trouble and the government was shit... then the Pistols boosted it up the ranks for us

  • who gives a crap, everyone, punk rules, thats all you need to know.

can't believe they mentioned Deathrock. that was cool.

  • THEY BOTH NEED THEIR ASSHOLES TOUNGE-FUCKED & CLITS LICKED-OFF UNTIL THEIR PUSSYS EXPLODE HOT WET FEMALE EJACULATION SQUIRTS ALL OVER MY FACE...

  • i don't know why these backstage cocksuckers feel they own the whole map of the punk rock universe, people like this get in on it for all the wrong reasons, what they say is crap anyway, the only people that can talk shit are the people that started the whole thing, everyone else is sloppy seconds.

  • @ghoststang4point0 - Dude. Kill yourself right now. Seriously.

Yeah, Pleasant and Iris DON'T own the whole map of the punk rock universe. Because the map is ripped in half. There's the half these girls are talking about... real punk rock and influx of moronic jock idiots with new haircuts fucking up the scene these girls helped start. And then there's your half: punk rock of today, a bunch of ignorant fuck 17-30yr olds wearing punk costumes and arguing about what punk is on the net. Go die.

  • @crankenstyne yea my half. cus you know i got the punk costume arguing about what punk is and what punk isnt, i just clearly stated that anyone that started the whole thing gets to have the opinion thats why they dont interview you. just cus you picked up a rancid record back in 93 doesnt mean you get the say of anything. besides did i say "oh this is punk this isnt" when was this? stop contradicting yourself.

  • wow- does this bring back some memories..thats how I remember you girlz!

  • Punk, in itself, has no meaning. None. Period.

  • Fuckin' places like Hot Topic ruined punk.

  • @DontEatEggs666 they didnt ruin punk, there just fcking retarded and they sold out.

  • Iris is hot, she still is. That is a cool video.

  • I believe this is a scene of the social transition from punk to new wave. New wave existed only because punk allowed it to. These chicks weren't punk. Listen to the ego in their california voice. Punk was a sadistic and revolting lifestyle that only a few could live. I hate to break the news to these posers, but they weren't living the "punk" lifestyle. They were living the "new wave" lifestyle that punk initiated. Sorry girls.

  • You wanna know what never gets old, SKATING & Steve Caballero!! SxJx. I'd do her to, like Triumph the Dog!

  • Punk is anything you want it to be, fashion or not. It's about doing what you want and not giving a shit about what anyone thinks. Stop being "punk police" elitist assholes and go listen to your new Black Flag represses.

  • Oh god, hipsters talking about how exclusive it USED to be and how they were there at the begining. "Remember when" is the least form of conversation, I'm not saying the times weren't great, but come on. It gets so fucking old. Wah wah wah.

  • nice try though.

  • spraycando, thanks for your post, yes i need to lay "orf" the gin. because laying "orf" the gin is better then laying "off" the gin

  • This is Iris Berry and Pleasant Gehman, you guys......they were originals on the scene before any of you clowns were zygotes, so I really wouldn't knock 'em. BTW, there were very few shops that sold punk gear back then...most of the ones that did were one of a kind places with one of a kind designs. Go ahead and dribble all over your Hot Topic "authentic" for the masses ripoffs.

  • did she say she works at Posers?

  • what american hardcore did was brilliant, it said no to fashion, no to politics and no to everything, it took the map of punk rock created in the 70's and made it better, american hardcore was the true meaning of punk, there was no in between with hardcore, you were either in or you were out, and there was no fashion to steal later on, it was punk done right. it was character, it was rebellion, it was state of mind, all things you cant buy, all very real.

  • @ghoststang4point0 Bollocks. "It was punk done right" Excuse me old chap I think you ought to lay orf the gin.

  • punk is dead, it died back in 1978 with the creation of the siouxsie siouxs and the billy idols, it started with clash and pistols and died with clash and pistols and all the post punk behind it. everything else is a manufacturer trying to cash in, want to know real punk rock? watch john lydons butter commercials...

  • @ghoststang4point0 I agree with you 100%.The hardcore scene or American harcore was the only true scene that died underground without the mainstream knowing of it.

  • There have always been those who insist on being their true selves regardless of what other people think, and then there are those who try to be like everyone else regardless of who they really are. Every good thing turns into a scene of posers and imitators sooner or later. It happened to the beats, and then to the hippies and then to the punks and then to the goths and yada yada yada. Be yourself and let someone else slap a label on it... but it's still you regardless of what they call it.

  • it doesnt matter wen u got into punk as long as u r into it i got in to it in 77 cos i was lucky enuff 2 b the rite age iv got mates in there 20s u luv it an have intoduced me 2 sum great bands its on going brothers n sisters n wot is punk but respect no snobbery

  • I like punk music, punk attitude, but I hate the fashion

  • @antifascistmilitant you are dead rite

  • Punks on the inside.. fuck fashion punks

  • most "punks" are posers.Pre1980s is where you'd find real punks. The real punks understand that its not about fashion, punk isnt about styles,it is about adressing your opinions to those who think that it is immoral to have freedom of speech

"It's Not Really My Problem If They Think I'm Weird. Undermine their pompous authority, reject their moral standards, make anarchy and disorder your trademarks. Cause as much chaos and disruption as possible but dont let them take you ALIVE." Sid Vicious 1978

  • @AntDil19 Fucking right! At least you get it.

  • u dont have to be rich to be punk

not all punkrockers are like that sugg

  • im not rich enough to be a punk

  • @todnyc lol, then there is no hope, jk

  • Iris and Pleasant, who posted this?! Awesome :) L.A. punkrock girls rule :)

  • Comment removed

  • The little kid at the end is frigging adorable. =D

  • Sorry but I have to disagree I do not believe these girls are from the Punk Scene they're more from the the 80's commercial scene what is call the NEW WAVE SCENE. they are definitely not Harecore Punk that's for sure. Fakers

  • Why do people bitch and moan when there genre or style goes into the mainstream, i really dont get it

  • because then majority of there favourite bands sell out, then it turns into more about the money then the music or fans.

  • It's a joke regardless.

  • yeah i agree, but the style is part of the rebelion of punk, punx a rebelion, and the style is a massive part of the rebelion,

  • don't write punk with X! NEVER!

  • why?

  • i agree with you, tottaly, but people who arent rebelling against anything treat it like a style and it pisses me off

  • that boy at the end looked scared. haha These chicks sound stoned too.

  • Just look at them! None of them have tattoos but I bet they have them now. LOL

  • yeah ...punk is a genre of music not a style. and ANYONE who thinks that just because you dress like you picked your clothes out of a dumpster and have goofy hair that means you're more punk than the people who just listen to the music is a snob. sorry if i offended anyone but that just means you're one of those people

  • no punk is a genre of music but its also a way of life. i agree its not a fashion

  • punk is both a style and a genre... sadly ppl think they can call themselfs punk just because they fell on their knees and ripped a pair of jeens
