You can download anything your mind can think of regarding stages, characters and screenpacks. If you're not settled with that, you can program your own characters. It's a really powerful 2D fighting game engine.

@HARLEMCITYSLICKER It didn't take 10 years to make it. After MVC2 came out Capcom lost the Marvel license and didn't get it back until around 2008. Which is when this game began development.

I got a question for the people complaining about Mega Man. If he was in and ended up being low tier or requiring high execution how many of you would actually use him? Look at how many people wanted Phoenix Wright, and look at how many actually use him. Hell Strider also had heavy fan demand and he's not seen online that much either.
It really wouldn't surprise me if Mega Man was in, most of these people went "Oh he's too hard to use and isn't very good. NVM. I'll just use Wesker instead."

I got ripped off when I bought the Ultimate Edition of SF4 for $80, only to find out that Super SF4 was released months later. I learned my lesson. Waited for Ultimate to appear before buying, and even then I got it at a discount cause my girlfriend got me a Gift card I used on the game. Fool me once, shame on you, CApcom.
good rule of thumb: never buy a fighting game from capcom in the first months....there is ALWAYS a super, alpha, beta, zero version coming very soon with everything that should have been in the first release. they mastered the skill of making adjustments, re-releasing charging full price for what should be a dlc, at best.

I actually voted on CapcomUnity's informal character vote. Did you know that three of the top ten Capcom characters were versions of Megaman (classic, X, and battle network). It's like they don't even listen to the people on their own site. Needless to say, I haven't been back to Unity forums since it only appears to be in place to take advantage of the die hard fans and use them to generate hype on Facebook and Youtube.

If you can be patient, you'll get the game for half the price.

UMVC3 is a atrocity......And I to think I was one of the unfortunate masses who preorded the regular game..To have capcom put this half of a game out to the consumer market was criminal enough. Making an "expansion" game and not patching the original or at least releasing the other 12 characters as DLC for the original game is just plain criminal. i was thinking in which fighting game getting: UMvsC3 or Mortal Kombat, but after listening this i will definitly pick Mortal Kombat. Capcom might have a legendary past (Megaman) and some interesting games in the way (Asura´s Wrath and RE 6) but this is a crime! for everybody who bought the first MvsC3 and fans of the cross-over fanchise! especially with the fact there are still many thing missing in UMvsC3! I never liked Ultimate, I prefer vanilla because to me i feel that it's a better game. Everything was fine besides a little balancing issues, but all of that, including the characters, like Angry Joe said, could of be DLC. This is just my opinion on how i feel.

Anyway, Megaman will come out eventually. Capcom has done this before with Street Fighter, for awhile Street Fighter games were not being made because everyone was sick of them I guess. For those who didn't know, all the prices for the dlc packs for Capcom games (except for UMvC3) has dropped dramatically and some which have dropped by 50%, at the beginning of January, because they realized just how angry we are with them. Also, they started bundling all the dlc for less then $5. They just might do it for this game too. And MAYBE by a pinch of luck, Megaman might be added to the game.

I got a question for the people complaining about Mega Man. If he was in and ended up being low tier or requiring high execution how many of you would actually use him? Look at how many people wanted Phoenix Wright, and look at how many actually use him. Hell Strider also had heavy fan demand and he's not seen online that much either.
It really wouldn't surprise me if Mega Man was in, most of these people went "Oh he's too hard to use and isn't very good. NVM. I'll just use Wesker instead."

good rule of thumb: never buy a fighting game from capcom in the first months....there is ALWAYS a super, alpha, beta, zero version coming very soon with everything that should have been in the first release. they mastered the skill of making adjustments, re-releasing charging full price for what should be a dlc, at best.

The only way Capcom will gain our trust back is if they do one of the following:
a) Appoligize for all the shit they've caused us and start over by making a PROPER version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3, based on OUR feedback.
b) Take that crappy version of Megaman out of Street Fighter X Tekken and place in the REAL one.
c) Make Capcom vs. SNK 3 based on OUR feedback.
d) ALL OF THE ABOVE

For those who didn't know, all the prices for the dlc packs for Capcom games (except for UMvC3) has dropped dramatically and some which have dropped by 50%, at the beginning of January, because they realized just how angry we are with them. Also, they started bundling all the dlc for less then $5. They just might do it for this game too. And MAYBE by a pinch of luck, Megaman might be added to the game.

UMVC3 Failed in so many ways
like the previous game it lacks a lot of modes like Story mode and Replay mode and they suck at balancing.
