  • why did you gain weight after the master cleanse? is the dieet a bad one, or was it youre mistake?? please help answer this

  • No one can judge you for your PERSONAL CHOICES on what you eat!

    Its your body, do what you want and can :p

  • If you like comments you might like this one, all those meat and cheese imitations made out of soy are really bad for you, especially a whole pizza like that.

    Soy should only be eaten on occasion or as a way to ease your self into a vegan diet. But you don't need it. A lot of confusing shit on soy out there.

    i am also "RAW" but I really try to do more than 90%. on the weekends i would eat cooked food. and i do eat cooked grain for lunch, quinoa, or barley, or brown rice, potato.

  • My psoriasis cleared with a raw diet, after years of living with it. Maybe the fatty liver issue is from not continuing to cleanse the liver after the master cleanse you did. I do liver gall bladder cleansing and it takes about 8-10 to remove all the stones, which is what makes it "fatty".

  • the sun gives vitamin d3 bud.

  • Hi! again....I'm just following up with you since my last comment last week.  I've been taking pau d'arco and coconut oil for my candida cleanse. I have psoriasis on my scalp and it's almost allllll gone now with just taking this stuff for a couple of days. I know yours might be a bit more extreme, but it might be worth a try:) Best of luck:)

  • I haven't read all the comments or video posts that you have made, but have you ever tried a candida cleanse? It is related to psoriasis as well.  Best of luck on all your journeys:)

I read in a book by a pretty thorough raw "foodist" that one of the reasons we do not enjoy whole food is because our taste buds have been set to the Standard American Diet (SAD). She mentioned if you go on a proper fast, it will help cleanse your body and change your appetite. You can begin to crave veggies, fruit, nuts and seeds.

  • Don't feel bad. I'm a vegetarian (mostly vegan), my sister is a vegan... we just do what we can do. You are awesome!

  • BTW, I also have psorisis. I don't take methotrexate (yet) but my father does. I know it's difficult. Do you notice any psorisis improvement due to your diet?

  • I don't have time right now to read all the comments to know if someone else has said this, but when I read about D3 I started taking it because I have psoriasis. All my patches are gone just by taking D3. You should try this before taking anymore methotrexate. I took 10,000 for a few weeks. I take 5,000 now and it has not returned. I always noticed it got better in the summer when I went to the beach a lot. So I guess it got better from the exposure to the sun. I urge you to try just the D3.

  • My dermatologist wants me on the Methotrexate and D3 right now, but when my lesions clear up maybe I'll be able to just take D3. Thanks for the info! That's good to know because it gives me hope that it might work for me.

  • Good to know. I thought I'd seen Vitamin D somewhere! I've had those psoriasis issues too. Have you tried zapping?

    seoulsoda: google PETA and check out the factory farming videos if having trouble becoming vegetarian! I just refuse to support the industry and after you see that stuff (and read Skinny Bitch) you could easily kick the habit too! :)

  • raw is not easy.. ive come to the conclusion that if you want to do raw, you have to think of food as medicine and sustenance for the body and not so much as enjoyment for the tongue.. if you get some enjoyment for the tongue , than that is just the fringe benefit , i guess. its the eating for pleasure and not for sustenance all our lives that makes this diet so hard.

  • Avocados are "meaty " to me. If I am super hungry, I just eat one of them.....they became my best friend on the raw diet :)

  • When I was trying to do all raw I did eat a lot of avocados, but even those didn't give me the feeling of being full.

  • Listen to your wording!!! you say "I'm not committing"!!! Your lack of committment keeps you fat.... You have SO MANY REASONS why you can't do it! Look for a moment at where your focus is.. Re-watch your video and see how much you disempower yourself with your words. Your words are a direct reflection of your beliefs about yourself and what you are capable of. Your words are a direct reflection of your self talk inside your head. It's not the food your eating that is the problem. TBC

  • @RawFoodVeganSungazer The problem is your belief system, your lack of self dicipline, lack of comittment to yourself, you get the point. Once you change the context of how you view yourself and your body, your choices and committments to food will change as well.

  • Good luck! It took me 3 years (late 02 to late 05) to stop eating meat. Some people can do it over night and some people take years.

    my mom has psoriasis too and may be at risk of osteoporosis.

  • Interesting I'm doing a vid blog about going raw for a week right now and really craving some cooked food. I will never be a vegan because I like meat but I know I need to eat alot less meat. And I have switched to like buffalo and whatnot from the health food store. Good luck.

  • Yes, I'm trying to find a balance. The Master Cleanse is good as long as you know what you're doing and MOST IMPORTANTLY make sure to POST CLEANSE correctly. The longer you fast, the slower you need to come off of it.

  • Exactly! it is about doing the best you can.

    I think you should do what I did. Just count calories and eat healthy. Write down everything you eat and add the calories. I did that last year and lost 50 pounds.

    I think we put too many rules on ourselves. We should eat and enjoy food and explore new things and it looks like are and are doing great!

  • Thanks for the advice! I've tried counting calories in that past, but I wind up only doing it for a couple days. I read a few articles that referenced studies that showed vitamin D helps you lose weight. So, hopefully the vitamin D will help. Pizza rocks! I like Amy's no cheese roasted veggie pizza and that Tofurky pizza was good!

  • I've been trying to stay raw, but I eat cooked some days. I am taking D3 every day & B-12. I have a green smoothie every morning, & if I feel like I need it, 30 minutes after my smoothie I'll eat cooked. I eat as much as I can for breakfast & lunch so that I won't be as hungry for dinner. Sometimes I take a green smoothie to work that I drink before I leave work so that I won't need as big of a dinner. I try to eat like a king for breakfast, a prince for lunch, & a pauper for dinner.

  • Great! That sounds like a pretty good plan. I take a vegan multi that has B12 in it, but I should probably get that checked out too. Actually, I'm going to look into getting tested for all vitamins, lol.

  • Sunshine, sunshine and more sunshine! That's the best source of vegan vitamin D... lol... actually, it's the sunshine on our skin that prompts our own bodies to make vitamin D is my understanding, so some time in the sun everyday helps. I take a supplement myself though, because I am also vegan now. I wonder (if you don't mind if I give you my opinion) if it would help your weight to cook more of your own vegan foods rather than going with the pkgd/processed food? Stews and casseroles, etc?

  • Yes! When I said I considered my options, that was one of them. Unfortunately, I'm so low in vitamin D that I have to take a supplement to get me to normal. Once I get to normal then sun and vitamin D should suffice (I hope).
