@VictumRoManius And I said it is not France, it is Corsica. It is ethnically different and culturally different to France. As most inhabitants are Italian and Spanish, yes they are French technically, but that is only because Genoa ceded Corsica to France in 1769 for war reparations. I know Italians, French and Spaniards are all similar, I will not argue against that. That is a good thing. I just despise French arrogance as they like to claim everything that is Italian as french.

Hitler was a tyrant that committed mass genocide, While Napoleon went off of his mission to spread republic, in order to free the world from unfair monarchies. The only thing they have in common is that they both conquered almost all of Europe, but Napoleon, unlike Hitler, was with his troops and commanded on the battlefield instead of in an office or bunker.

The tyranny of the Civil Code ? Lol it was based on the enlightement ideal wich is the very essence of democracy. This code is still applied with very few changes in many western european countries (which aren't tyrannies, right ?)
Bankrupted France ? Get your facts right : France was full of gold thanks to the continental system.

Yeah, they declared war on Napoleon, but not on France :D It seemed Napoleon was a separate national entity :D And yet, in someways, he was. But he also had some Italian blood through his parents and they said he spoke with some Italian accent all his life....So he couldn't be real French after all. Indeed, he must have been a separate national entity in himself
