  • I Loved this song with the photos. I don't even know the people in the photos but I was choking up because there is obviously a lot of nostalgia and sentiment linked to these photos. LOVED IT!!!!! It reminded me of my own family and old photographs. Thank you!

  • @rye41308 They are my family photos, thanks you liked them.

  • Not many black friends back then, lol.

  • they made so many great songs

    a shame, they´re so underrated...

  • remember going to see gary glitter of all people for a laugh one christmas in the mountford hall and the christians were on the same bill . ive loved them ever since ...oh yer death to glitter

  • nice post,thanks

  • beautiful video x

  • the photos seem to be from a time when everyone helped each other out in times of need (when i was growing up) and although some people will scream racist it was a time when we was'nt flooded with islam, refugees, and every other waif and stray that the world has coming here for a free handout and a government telling me that immigration is a good thing. let them tell me the same when they have failed asylum seekers squatting next to them and laws that say we cant deport them with no passport

  • @scits1 mate, you think that everything was rosy in the garden. The reason that you has all the joys of the world is that your government and army went around the globe taking what they call in America "treasure".empires cause problems long after there gone and refugees and problems follow. We must except it and try to make a better world.“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.bless you.

  • The Christians! A great song! It makes me feel good and I´m feeling young again!

  • nice video x

  • I remember this song... It made me cry for the first time realizing my mums suffering from my bullying father and i was just 11 years old.... She wanted to help me with my homework and she went away to get a pencil and this song came into my mind and it made me cry cos i was like "She's suffering so much.. Why would she take time to help me?"

I think that was the first time i cried over her but i remember wiping my eyes so she wouldn't know i had been crying..

  • @ShroudedFury strange what we remember from hearing music Great you shared this

  • @ShroudedFury YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO THE MANICS STREET PREACHERS, SHE IS SUFFERING , IT SHOULD MAKE U AND THE REALISE EVEN THOUGH I LOVE GARRY IS YHE MAN

  • @ShroudedFury I'm deeply touched by that

  • @ShroudedFury

That's so sad that, I feel for you and your mum, two lives ruined by a bullying arsehole. (I hope you don't mind me calling your father a bullying arsehole?)

    I hate bullys!

  • thats so sad.

  • @ShroudedFury reading your comment made me want to cry but i held it back because my family are around me now, happy laughing at T.V. etc. and dont want them to see me upset about your childhod which i hope has turned you into a strong person who has a loving mother, god bless you both

  • @ShroudedFury Your story is almost making me cry,, your mum is an amazing lady with deep inner strength of love for you. Mum's are amazing, I had a very harsh father, but my mam always gave that hug after a bashing, amazing what a simple spit on a tissue and a rub on the wound can do for comfort. Hope everything is good now.

  • She was a very strong person.. She suffered from terminal illnesses like lupus and heart disease and arthritis and later in her life she started to have strokes, one was so bad that it made her blind for a few hours. But on top of that my dad would make her feel like shit, blame her for anything that went wrong in their lives, got so bad that she even blamed herself when her own dad died. She just hid it behind a smile because she didn't want others to feel sad because of her, i'm like her.

  • @ShroudedFury

Your mother sounded like a wonderful person. I can sympathise with you as my father was a totally selfish, violent, alcoholic bastard and still is. He attacked my mother and very nearly killed her on a few occasions; we even took him to hospital a couple of times, saving his life due to alcoholism. I know this sounds bad, but even now I wish we had just let him die as our lives would be less painful and tough now. My mother is a wonderful person, full of character and love.

  • @markirish37 And everything isn't too good now.. She died 4 years ago aged 47.. So if anything i'm having to try even harder to bury my pain and sadness and anger inside.

  • i was born in 58.....got the same pictures of my youth life in germany......was a great time for all of us. great vid. thx

  • @engelbertusaloysius hi, hope you don't mind me contacting you but like most people we all have songs we love and this is one of mine. however, your uploaded version i do prefer for nothing more than the photographic history of your family that is now preserved on the internet (hopefully forever) i remember growing up with haircuts like that and the same clothes and like you our family had lots of black and white and then colour photos which i do not hold. only memories unfortunately
