@mechasonicbros They'll wilt just like any other flower (except gold roses). To save time each day instead of watering EVERY flower in town, I just focus on wilted ones.

@BallisticBassist I had to create those on my own. If, for example, I was doing the one where it was solid on the left side... I took the up/down path and used that for the left half. Then I took the 4-way piece and used the right half of that one. There's no way in-game to do that so I took in-game pics of each pattern with the grid "on" in the editing mode and saved those pics to my SD card. Then I displayed them on my computer while making those pieces in the game.
I really hate how quickly the grass disappears in this game. My town looks like a desert after some marathon visits from other players. I'm establishing sidewalks and designing some signs so people will stay off the grass.

i think towns look better without designs on the floor anyway. me and my sister share a town on the game, and once our first town turned into a complete desert, we had an idea to reset our town and this time on the new one, set out paths using designs. then once the grass has worn away after you've used to paths, you can take off the designs, and you have a natural path :)

No need to shout and be negative. You choose to have your town one way, I choose another. I went for a method where myself and visitors can get to ANY point in town via sidewalks. As seen, it's also GREAT for the various flower beds. Don't hate another method just because it's not your method.
Yeah, what I did was use the ability to take/save photos to an SD card and got snapshots of the corner & straight parts then made the T-intersection parts. It took some time and effort but it was well worth it. :-)

It took a few sessions to first lay down the "grid" and then several more sessions tweaking it and maneuvering the sidewalk around obstacles. As far as the flowers... LOTS of TLC. I make sure I water everyday but not every flower. Some people think you need to but you only NEED to water the wilted ones or they disappear the next day. I can usually take care of watering in 20-30 minutes a day. :-)

Very helpful video. I'm currently re-growing my grass, although my town isn't organized quite as well as yours.
Your T-intersections, did you make them yourself? I made some of my own, although yours look a bit nicer than mine.
