It's a shame this woman didn't "make it" bigger. Her voice is completely unique. She hit the music scene at the same time as Teena Marie, another amazing singer who never got the recognition due her because the music business was promoting hair bands, and she was also directly competing for airplay w/a little known act called the Jacksons and a breakout solo dude named Michael Jackson who was somehow burning up the charts.
