Except for the "solo", it was very repetitive and the entire riff only consisted of chords and nothing else. I would suggest either making the riff longer or changing things up a bit.
thats awesome dude. I wish I knew how to write riffs like that. All I can do is make up some stupid little chord progression. When I turn on distortion, something just blocks my mind.
@thrashmetal1029 do what I do just shred on the clean channel then. if it sounds good clean it'll sound good when you crank up the distortion. plus it forces you to be more creative bc e string chugging with a few chords sounds pretty shitty on the clean
