Met this guy when I was young. My Dad and his buddy knew him well and my Dad's buddy still has a Boarman made Banjo! Pretty awesome. This guys a legend!

I may have met you I visited Andy in Hedgesville years ago. he called his style Melodic Banjo, he used all 5 fingers on the right hand , He played a tune for me he wrote called My Home In West Virginia,said it was in the Library of Congress. used to trade Ginsang , We played tunes out in the workshop . I am still playing the banjo he gave me

Andy used to visit with Raymond Fairchild some in the 70's and Raymond learned a lot of licks from Andy including the tune Custards last stand.

Jimmy Arnold wrote a called Boarmans Way. Similar to this. He was friends with Andy.
