  • hide ur puppets hes a peddettefile....(child puppet molester)

  • 2nd movie!

  • Read the book? 4 times!! Watched the movie? 15 times!! Seen the clips? Countless amounts of times!! Got the book? Both versions!! Got the movie? 3D version and 2D versions!! [ ☻☻\ ]

  • I'm a puppet of God. used for His glory :D

  • 0:56 ok that's awesome.

  • @molomix thats awesome?

the whole movie is stop motion

  • ☻_☻

  • um.. la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la al

  • other mother puppet... WANT.

  • OMG that how i usually feel like someone is controling me and see something sometimes and feel this discomfort that someone is touching me..maybe i am a puppet o_o''.......

  • @Sailormoonlovers101 That wasn't even...a sentence? What the hell did you just say?

  • We're all just puppets being molested into animation by puppeteers :p

  • @TheRobAlva well at least by hot puppeteers ^^''

  • at 0:03 was any one else thinking "ha! everyone else got a whole video you just got a tut"

  • wow that was cool -- 0:56-1:05

  • scary

  • When I first saw this movie I fell in LOVE! So I wanted the obvious: a sequel. Then I thought about it and said "what if the people run out of ideas? After making 3 movies? What then? What if it ruins the first movie?" Think a bit before you confirm.

  • This was a cool video... But it also freaked me right the hell out.

  • 0:54 LOLZZZ

  • didnt Tim Burton also direct this. ? Was it collaborative ?

  • @kirrehlover no. but some people think that because it's from the directer of the nightmare before christmas

  • the other mother is a hot lady=]

  • those puppets would be the best dolls ever for a kid (girl?). the bending of the joints are so precise and more realistic....

  • that is so totally amazing, seeing that man just having her walk that tiny bit, so incredible!

  • I used to be terrified of dolls as a kid. Scratch that - I totally still am. But when I say dolls I mean those creepy porcelain pretty dolls that blink. I want one of THESE dolls...I'd love a little Coraline on my shelf! They're so beautifully made and unique!

  • the lalala sounds like Glee theme

  • am I the only one that laughed at the beginning when he just popped up? 0:00-0:03

  • I would love it if they made a second coraline. maybe the hand at the bottom of the well will assemble itself like he said it would.

  • @ShinigamiDeb yea and like what about the other ghost she might have trapped there w/ her and if there was an other mother who created her in the begging when it all started? things you might wanna find out and maybe a back story of the other mother i think it would be awesome if you ask me

  • @BloodsuckingLover I know!! Maybe her mom was obsessed with sewing, and she was a abusive mother, so she locked her daughter in a place with only a sewing needle and craploads or string and buttons.

  • @Windwakerzelda99 yea! some of us would like to know the other mother's story

  • If only it was possible to make a sequel... but making a sequel would ruin it. There's nothing to build upon... it would stink. Perhaps a prequel to the book is possible, but I don't know if you can do anything to the movie.

  • after this movie and all this work there saying forget that!! i aint doing a second one

  • @MizzFierceluv ¯\(°_o)/¯ youre right!

  • @TheRadicalClan Agreed. It took them a year to create this movie. The first trailer I saw freaked me out and when I saw the real trailers it was intrigueing. The movie is incredible.

  • i hate how they go slow-mo on the 'other mother'..... it freaks me out and i feel like she's thinking 'ahhhh....fresh meat....'

    Loved the move tho!!!!

  • its funny how he was making Coraline move nd she pushed him out of the way xD

  • uh...CREEPY!!!

  • I want the original puppets who were used in the movie soooo bad!!!

  • 0:57 till 1:00 is cool!

  • i wanna make a stop motion movie soooooo bad!!!!!

  • AHHHHH they make it sound so creepy at first.....

  • i don't know why but all the cast the staff of this film...they seem so depressed D:

  • that is very profound!

  • is that wybie's house behind coraline's house?

  • @MrMimiTAK no they made loads of houses but none of them fitted with the strory so they made another one and realised it was good and then kept the old ones at the back, so in the film thats not really there, its really complicated but you no what i mean right ??

  • if you wanna download it just watch my video

  • wow that is cool

  • Selick is a genious!!!!

  • Does anybody know the name of the song? :)

  • Comment removed

  • how are these dolls made? D : with what kind of material

  • Coraline's mother still haunts my nightmare, and i'm 15

  • "We might be caught in the corner of their eye as something sort of flitting by much faster than a hummingbird. They might feel fingers sort of touching them at times; they might have an uncomfortable sense of being confined, being controlled." <3

  • 0:56 - 1:05 LOL

  • 0:59 - 1:04 LMAO XDD

  • I saw Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bridge also, but after this movie I had something like `I want to make such puppets too!`.

And now I´m making them too, for a schoolproject [they arent as great and awesome as those puppets but it´s really fun to do]

    srry for my bad english:P

  • @ZwarteKonijn I know you don't speak English well, but it's Corpse Bride - I'm only saying this so my next comment doesn't seem like I'm poking fun at you. Corpse Bridge sounds like it would be an awesome film. :D

  • @LoffleMe lol i didnt see thanx for saying:P

no problem anyway by saying such things^^

  • @ZwarteKonijn ^^ You're welcome~

  • -Slaps the Other Mother- YOU SCARE ME.

  • @EmoVeganFan1 shes a villian,thats her job,,DUMBASS!

  • @webkinzluver93sucks

You think I haven't seen the movie? I HAVE! Plus, she just looks scary, and it's not like I don't know how she's supposed to look like. So, first of all before you go telling people they're dumbasses. At least capitalize your sentences, and don't use so many commas.

  • I wanna do stop motion animation but it looks sooo hard...ugh!my dream

  • @philgunman It's not THAT hard. You just have to have a lot of patience.

  • It's the director who kinda creeps me out. Actually I think I like it.

  • THE PUPPET'S SCARE ME!!!!!

  • @winniepig461

    I know right!

  • @EmoVeganFan1 its a fucking inernet thing,can u tell?XD

and i know she is scary-pretty in her forms, but why slap her when she is NOT even infront of you lol?XDbtw u a poser??o.O

  • @webkinzluver93sucks

To answer all your beautiful ( not really ) questions. I'll number them.

    1. Yes, I can tell, and so?

    2. I can slap anybody effin, want on the internet. Even if it's online.

    3. Am, I a poser? NO.

  • Henry has the same hair as he did in "The Making of The Nightmare Before Christmas" Except he looks alot older, I suppose 17 years really does age you. Henry is so weird, and I want one of these puppets. If you want to know how they make these puppets watch "The making of The Nightmare Before Christmas"

  • I like the bit where they are animating Coraline and she tries to swat the guys face away and then shoves it.

  • @MsLollopop30 lol i know! so funny!

  • Yeah ^^

  • What is the song's name at 0:07

  • the coolest movie and the hardest work...to make it so smooth and poetical using the hand- made figures/...

    respect!

  • that was ...... awesome!!!!

  • this is very creepy it kind of makes you think maybe just maybe we are not so different have you ever feet like some one is tuching you maybe someone is pulling your strings /o_o\

  • gawd! i want to be the new tim burton! watch my remake of corpse bride on my channel!

  • You're not a new Tim burton if you have to remake others work, Tim Burton creates his own creepyness.

  • This is so fascinating to think about...this guy is a creative genius. I've never thought about puppets in films as being alive and aware in such a way...he's right, relative to our world, everything moves so slowly, that they wouldn't be able to see who is manipulating them...kind of reminds me of how pigeons have such incredible vision that their eyesight moves at a much faster rate than ours, and so a full movie looks like a slideshow to them (they see each frame as stopping and pausing).

  • yah i didint even think of them as puppets lol

  • Wouldn't the film go quicker for them, then?

  • No. Progression of time is not affected by eyesight. Movies are made up of a certain number of frames per second (the standard has been 24 if you're watching it in a cinema) - too fast of a frame rate and we humans get a headache or feel dizzy, and fast enough we can't comprehend what's happening on the screen at all (and that's a generalization because there are a lot of factors dependent on how we process moving pictures).

  • Pigeons (and other birds I believe) can process the frames much more "quickly" than us (that's not really exactly how it works but I'm just trying to get the general idea across) so a movie designed for humans to watch would appear to be moving very slowly to a pigeon - because they would be seeing it frame by frame - i.e. a slideshow.

  • Aye, I know what you mean, because we see slower than them the frames, for us, give the illusion of movement, however for them it is not such an illusion.

  • i re-watched 0:55-1:04 for so many times :D

  • cool i watches coraline everyday And i have coraline doll too :D but coraline should never see button eyes but i like it coraline was never sewing button in her eyes :) coraline box are cool XD

xD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD XD

  • Coraline was the best movie ever XD

  • Lol I love the bit where she pushes him XD it must be so tedious to make a stop motion film, definitely worth it though c:

  • creepy

  • NUUUUU no Henry Selick of Tim burton movie should have a sequal, the second is never as good as the first :D haha nah It doesn't really bother me actually, :) I enjoy the movies, thats what counts when a person watches a film.

  • i want some of those puppet O.O and tha set omg it all looks sooo KOOL O:<

  • I must know what this song is...

  • it tooks 3,942,879 frames to create Coraline.

  • that was so kool how the guy made coraline look like she was pushing his head

  • *crosses fingers for sequel.*

lets hope that, cuz dont get me wrong its popular

  • Ugh, NO. The movie, like the book, was a complete story unto itself. Making a sequel would only dilute it.

  • @leeshajoi no acutally it wouldn't.

  • I think this movie, should be let alone. It doesn't need a sequel. There wasn't a sequel for the book.

  • maybe there will be.. You never know. And I'm always up for another good movie :]

  • @MaryLizHicks well I would love a sequel, if they do one it won't be average. but everybody thinks it will be, thats why they don't don't want one.

  • @MaryLizHicks ugh if they made a sequel, i would cry

  • @lstogner why

  • @snowywolf15 Because a movie like Coraline, which has no INTENDED sequel, does not need to lower itself to the point of a sequel. I say this because the film stands on its own as being excellent, and an unwarranted sequel wouldn't even make sense with the story.

  • I liked this movie, stop motion animation is one of my favorite techniques on film.

  • that wazs kinda scary the way he was describing how puppets might have there own lIVES!!! AHHHHH!!!

*i need to get rid of my brotheres action figures*

  • i would pay so much for one of those figures ! D:

  • Maizing movie,LOVE it.

  • I think I might be a puppet...

  • This was seriously THE creepiest movie I've seen in my life!

  • creepy but pretty at the same time

  • that other house would be possibly the greatest doll house eva. i wish they were auctioning off the props, unless they plan to make a sequel. :P

  • lets hope they make a sequel!!!!

  • Ah! Don't get your hopes up. Think about it, every movie that's based off a book, never gets a sequal, unless the book has a part 2 also, but thats rare

  • yeah thats true but i never read the books to know if thers a p2

  • there's a part 2

cuz at the end of the book, coraline keeps having nightmares of the other mother

  • It is not, liar. >:P

At the end of the book the hand fell down a well and that was it, just like in the movie.

  • I hope there will be a part 2. I would LOVE to see another Coraline 2 movie

  • lol coraline's like: get your dirty hands off of me you prude! XD

  • are they selling the authentic puppets used for filming

  • they probably wont

  • Yeahy, you're right. After stop-motion animation movies like Coraline, they usually remove the mechanics inside the puppets so they can reuse them. This usually results with the puppets destruction.

  • i wish they would sell them i would so buy one of them!

  • I know. If only real-life were that kind :(

  • How old is Henry now?

  • in his fifties i think

  • cool

  • What is the song in the background?

  • have u seen the movie well because in the movie it's got that kinda creepy music!

  • The 'Mother's" puppet got cool cloths. I also want like that :D

  • OMG, this make´s you wonder if you´re a pupppet...XD

  • I thought that too!!

  • 0:57 is v funny!

  • I wonder if I'm a puppet....

  • The same thought occurred to me as well.

  • what are the made of?

  • a lot of stuff, they make a skeletal system inside called a armature to simulatue human articulation, then they cover it with foam latex then make a head with replacement faces and a hand made wig with wires so it can be animated and finally they cover the body with clothes

  • The singing in the background is beautiful.

  • for some reasons. i wanna own the dolls. its so cute. GOOD JOB!!! :D i love coraline.simply amazing.

  • i know!!!!! i hope they sell coraline dolls at the mall!

  • I CAN'T BELIEVED

  • OH MY GOD

  • I hope all this will be supplemental material on the Coraline DVD. Ah, so cute when Coraline pushes the puppeteer's head at 1:00...

  • Now I Get IT, Other Mother's Design Concept is 'Black Widow'! Wow!

    (It's Not Spoiler. Don't Worry.)

  • ugh. creepy. yet so amazing. 0_0

  • 0:55-1:06 is so cool.... wow.

  • oh man, i loved the moving coraline with the people...it's amazing~!

  • very interesting perspective. for al we know maybe we're all puppets lol

  • It must have taken them a LONG time to make this movie.

  • 4 years

  • 4 years?! my god! hmmmm I heard it took 5 years...was I misunderstood?

  • I believe i saw 4 years on wiki, but don't trust wiki too much. :p

  • stop motion is brilliant. If I have a hard time with traditional pencil drawing, I can't imagine trying to do this, let alone on such a skilled level. I really appreciate their work

  • You might not want to say that to the people actually working on the movie.

But the movie will most likely be out in theatres for a long time, so there will be plenty of chances to catch it.

  • I would really love to have an "Coraline" doll...

  • They sell them, you can find them on ebay in sets

  • Yeah right, but I have a small problem.... Do they sell them in Portugal? 'Cause I'm in Portugal. =S

  • I am really not sure, however you should be able to buy them on ebay from anywhere in the world.

  • i love the bit where Coraline pushes the animator away

  • wow...i wonder how many frames are in this movie lol x.x... must be aLOT

  • Movies are generally 24 frames per second. Sometimes doubles, and sometimes half as much. Like the mice scene. They skipped frames for that because it was too much work.

    BTW your math sucks

  • Hahaa!!

At 1:02 Coraline's just like "Go away!!"

    Haa...genius....absolutely genius this movie!!

Can't wait for it February 6!!

  • i love henry selick he really is a magic man

  • LMFAO At 0:57 Poor Coraline!! xDDD

  • Ok bring on the movie!!

I'm totally dying to see this!!

  • I wanna to watch caroline!
