OMG that how i usually feel like someone is controling me and see something sometimes and feel this discomfort that someone is touching me..maybe i am a puppet o_o''.......
When I first saw this movie I fell in LOVE! So I wanted the obvious: a sequel. Then I thought about it and said "what if the people run out of ideas? After making 3 movies? What then? What if it ruins the first movie?" Think a bit before you confirm.
I used to be terrified of dolls as a kid. Scratch that - I totally still am. But when I say dolls I mean those creepy porcelain pretty dolls that blink. I want one of THESE dolls...I'd love a little Coraline on my shelf! They're so beautifully made and unique!
@ShinigamiDeb yea and like what about the other ghost she might have trapped there w/ her and if there was an other mother who created her in the begging when it all started? things you might wanna find out and maybe a back story of the other mother i think it would be awesome if you ask me
@BloodsuckingLover I know!! Maybe her mom was obsessed with sewing, and she was a abusive mother, so she locked her daughter in a place with only a sewing needle and craploads or string and buttons.
If only it was possible to make a sequel... but making a sequel would ruin it. There's nothing to build upon... it would stink. Perhaps a prequel to the book is possible, but I don't know if you can do anything to the movie.
@TheRadicalClan Agreed. It took them a year to create this movie. The first trailer I saw freaked me out and when I saw the real trailers it was intrigueing. The movie is incredible.
@MrMimiTAK no they made loads of houses but none of them fitted with the strory so they made another one and realised it was good and then kept the old ones at the back, so in the film thats not really there, its really complicated but you no what i mean right ??
"We might be caught in the corner of their eye as something sort of flitting by much faster than a hummingbird. They might feel fingers sort of touching them at times; they might have an uncomfortable sense of being confined, being controlled." <3
@ZwarteKonijn I know you don't speak English well, but it's Corpse Bride - I'm only saying this so my next comment doesn't seem like I'm poking fun at you. Corpse Bridge sounds like it would be an awesome film. :D
You think I haven't seen the movie? I HAVE! Plus, she just looks scary, and it's not like I don't know how she's supposed to look like. So, first of all before you go telling people they're dumbasses. At least capitalize your sentences, and don't use so many commas.
Henry has the same hair as he did in "The Making of The Nightmare Before Christmas" Except he looks alot older, I suppose 17 years really does age you. Henry is so weird, and I want one of these puppets. If you want to know how they make these puppets watch "The making of The Nightmare Before Christmas"
this is very creepy it kind of makes you think maybe just maybe we are not so different have you ever feet like some one is tuching you maybe someone is pulling your strings /o_o\
This is so fascinating to think about...this guy is a creative genius. I've never thought about puppets in films as being alive and aware in such a way...he's right, relative to our world, everything moves so slowly, that they wouldn't be able to see who is manipulating them...kind of reminds me of how pigeons have such incredible vision that their eyesight moves at a much faster rate than ours, and so a full movie looks like a slideshow to them (they see each frame as stopping and pausing).
No. Progression of time is not affected by eyesight. Movies are made up of a certain number of frames per second (the standard has been 24 if you're watching it in a cinema) - too fast of a frame rate and we humans get a headache or feel dizzy, and fast enough we can't comprehend what's happening on the screen at all (and that's a generalization because there are a lot of factors dependent on how we process moving pictures).
Pigeons (and other birds I believe) can process the frames much more "quickly" than us (that's not really exactly how it works but I'm just trying to get the general idea across) so a movie designed for humans to watch would appear to be moving very slowly to a pigeon - because they would be seeing it frame by frame - i.e. a slideshow.
Aye, I know what you mean, because we see slower than them the frames, for us, give the illusion of movement, however for them it is not such an illusion.
cool i watches coraline everyday And i have coraline doll too :D but coraline should never see button eyes but i like it coraline was never sewing button in her eyes :) coraline box are cool XD
NUUUUU no Henry Selick of Tim burton movie should have a sequal, the second is never as good as the first :D haha nah It doesn't really bother me actually, :) I enjoy the movies, thats what counts when a person watches a film.
@snowywolf15 Because a movie like Coraline, which has no INTENDED sequel, does not need to lower itself to the point of a sequel. I say this because the film stands on its own as being excellent, and an unwarranted sequel wouldn't even make sense with the story.
Ah! Don't get your hopes up. Think about it, every movie that's based off a book, never gets a sequal, unless the book has a part 2 also, but thats rare
Yeahy, you're right. After stop-motion animation movies like Coraline, they usually remove the mechanics inside the puppets so they can reuse them. This usually results with the puppets destruction.
a lot of stuff, they make a skeletal system inside called a armature to simulatue human articulation, then they cover it with foam latex then make a head with replacement faces and a hand made wig with wires so it can be animated and finally they cover the body with clothes
stop motion is brilliant. If I have a hard time with traditional pencil drawing, I can't imagine trying to do this, let alone on such a skilled level. I really appreciate their work
