@CraftyGirl33 well im not piggiepigpigs but i can help :D i only have 1 guinea pig but i am getting a second it is best to have more than one since they get lonely i kinda wish i got my guinea pigs sister if you get 2 its better to get to girls because males arent as easy to get along and male and female could have babys and if the pigs are related they would be used to each other a little more... i hope i helped you :D

I bought one C&C cage from amazon, try to search White wire cube

Its very nice good value price too, but you have to buy also hard plastic sheet otherwise my guinea pigs always try to escape or try to chew bottom of the mesh

@cameron19592 If you made it bigger and taller. A rabbit, even a dwarf, could jump those walls. Most rabbits prefer an enclosed space, aka with a top, to sleep and rest. It makes them feel safer. But even if you made a cage like that you shouldn't keep them in there all the time. Let them out in the evenings to hop around for a few hours. They're very intelligent creatures that need more stimulation than being locked up for the whole of their lives in a cage with some food and toys.

@TheStrawberryMilksha You can buy blankets at big box stores like Walmart and Target. I'm not familiar with stores abroad but usually a store that sells linens and bedding. Craft stores that sell fabric should definitely have a good variety. You can also check Ebay or Amazon. Fleece can be pricey but it's worth it if you're sick of running to the pet store every time you run out of pet bedding.

It supposed to be a storage unit thing, but i made it in to a cage, The buttom liner is coroplast, You can get it at a store that makes sighns. (I have'nt got my coroplast yet, so i use a lot of extra under towels and news papper.) Good luck with the piggie's. (:

@guineapigworld8232 - Lol, that's a definite yes! & if you only have 1 piggie, you should really get it a friend as pigs are very social & need a companion 24/7 to feel happy. In the wild they live in large herds, so if you could buy another pig, you should! :)

@guineapigworld8232 - Dwarf hamsters are around $50 with all supplies plus the hamster. My tank is the smallest you should go for dwarves. I have levels for her, which makes the area a little bigger, but I would prefer a bigger cage. I also got the hamster as a gift for christmas, so I had no idea what the cage size would be.

I really dont even know how to care for them when it comes to what to feed, grooming, exercise, etc. I just know how big their cages should be & that they should be in herds. >.< I'd be such a bad piggie owner! I just want a pet to interact with throughout the day. Hamsters are only awake at night, so that's a bummer... x( They're cute though :) I'll definately research more when I know I'll be getting pigs.

@xxiiROCK - Well ferrets are awake during the day and they are really playful,but they cost a ton :( !Still,if you have the money,then definetly go for it.To me ferrets are like mini dogs.They love to play, love you instantly,and are great companions.On the other hand,guinea pigs are wonderful pets, too!They can get moody and/or aggresive,but once they start loving you.Yeah, anyways.I'm doing an essay on"Keeping guinea pigs is hard"That's my thesis... I love Buddy so I'm doing the essay on him..

@guineapigworld8232 - That's good :) Errm... I'm not quite sure. I've only seen a video on it, but they were just instructional pictures. When you're cutting the sides, measure about 6 inches off each edge(those will be the walls) and then draw a line so you know where to cut. But dont pierce the knife all the way, only half way so the coroplast is still hanging. That way you will be able to bend it upwards to create walls. I dont quit remember the rest... Haha. You'll have to look it up.
