  • I just got today a 2012 silver tacoma, damn this truck is fucking awesome!!

  • This reviewer has the personality of an oyster. The only way he would ever touch a piece of ass is when the toilet paper rips.

  • Ive actually got 25MPG on Mid grade in my 2005 on I-95 but i didnt go over 60mph

  • i have one its great recently got into a car wreck and she was going 40 and i was at nought and the only thing destroyed was the bumper! Pros: nice V6 engine, great ground clearence, ample leg room, reliable, Fast if should say!, nice features under back seat! Cons: these shitty tires they came with are already balding like crazy! with only 28,000 this is crazy.

  • @stopzilla911 Ha! Just an excuse to lift the little lady and cram 35s on her.

  • You think Tacoma is nice wait until you see/drive a HiLux..too bad they are not available in the US. One can only imagine what would happen if Toyota starts marketing HiLux in the US it would wipe out the piece of shit big three from the map..

Don't forget Land Cruiser 70 series pick up too...sexy pick up truck.

  • Just got an 08 Toyota Tacoma SR5 Double Cab Short Bed in Super White. The most beautiful midsized truck on the market right now. Hands down.

The Chevy Colorado, Dodge Dakota, and Ford Ranger do not even come close to the Toyota Tacoma.

  • i would trade my chevy for one of these damn i wish i had one

  • What's the length of the beds that you can get for these trucks?

  • @MetalheadRyan22 5.5 ft short and 6.1 ft long

  • We use to own a Tacoma it was a decent car, we trade it in for 06 Lexus.

  • beautiful! i rather have this then that ford/dodge/chevy pievce of shyt

  • my 09 tacoma is a piece of shit. it gets awful gas mileage and it cant handle the farm they like say it could. Im going back to the tundra i dont care if it gets 3 mpg less than my tacoma.

  • @joshydawg really? you must be driving a ford then. mine kicks serious ass. Auxlery port with a modifed cable makes even the regular speakers tight as hell- what more could you want?

  • @Matanumi ha no its a tacoma. My brother has the 2011 ford and he gets better gas mileage than i do. My tacoma wont even stay aligned. Im just having all kinds of trouble with it. like i said im definitely going back to the tundra this christmas. Its tough to beat it.

  • @joshydawg ahh sorry to hear that dude, some people seem to have a problem with mileage while others look the other way when the floor it. you have an older tundra? those are super nice- more practical then the new ones.

  • @Matanumi no my tundra was an 08

  • @joshydawg why did you change to taco then?

  • i want to make gay love to this truck

  • If only the tacoma had a hemi,I'd buy in a heartbeat. Then it would straight up Rape everything! Only in my dreams. Wait I could do this! Novation is key listen toyo headquarters add a turbo or super as stock that will capture some of my dream at least.

  • @mriphone1000 japanese have no need. the taco has no need for a hemi. silly money spent. the taco is meant to be practial work vechele. notice how the interior has no tvs or usbs or sunroofs or silly things like that?

    very workmanlike and respectable.

  • I have a 2010 Tacoma. TRD sport 4x4 double cab. It is best truck I have ever owned. Not to mention it was by far the safest out there. I live in Wyoming and I am telling you this truck is PERFECT for my life. Dogs have room in back seat. Plenty of power in mountains etc. Love it.

  • This video ignores a portion of its customers by being "male oriented" :( I want this truck so bad! and I'm a girl :0)

  • I bought my black 2006 Tacoma Sport, 4-door, 2-wheel drive 5 years ago. With nearly 63,000 miles on it, I am still rolling on the original tires; I have had zero mechanical problems with this truck. Hands down, this is the best, most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. For my next truck, I've seriously considered the Tundra, but I have been so pleased with my Tacoma I may just get another one. :) As far as styling goes, the Tacoma is much sleeker & sexier than its Frankenstein big brother !

  • enyone know if you can get one in right hand drive

  • @shzze I don't think you can... You can get the Helix where ever you are in the world.

  • @superamerica1981 they dont need to redesign its perfect the way it is now

  • @superamerica1981 Really? I didn't even know they had plans for a redesign. Is this a complete redesign or like a mid cycle refresh? like they made to the Highlander this year.

  • check out my video. stock tacoma 0-60 in ~6.0 seconds

  • @superamerica1981 why wait for the 2012?

  • Full size truck have always sucked. Smaller is better and always has been

  • I love this truck!

  • Dude according to toyotas website this truck gets 21/25 mpg. I don't know what he's talking about

  • @cjdrescher 21/25 is for the 2wd, 16/20 is for the 4wd

  • I don't get why this little v6 truck gets barely better fuel economy than the v8 tundra. smaller truck with much less powerful engine, but gets only slightly farther per gallon..? someone explain plz.

  • which looks better on this toy taco dc? the 4" oval bar step or the 3" bar running board.

  • what is the price on a 2010 4x4 double cab?

  • @StuningRedneck For a 2010 Double cab, V6, 4x4 manual, with al taxes included it's 38730.75 cdn...which is weird cause automatic costs $1000 less :S

Access cab, V6, 4x4 manual, also base is 33945.20 and automatic is upwards of $35,030.

  • nice shoes buddy ;)

  • why dont you have a frontier review

  • why dont you have a frontier review

  • If my rav4 ever freekin' dies I'm getting one of these for sure.

  • @actionsports111 it will never die! lol

  • i think toyota killed the tacoma after they stopped making the 1st gen, even then the frames were shitty on them. i dont hate toyota but im not disapointed i got my frontier over the tacoma.

  • @roadflytv, do you have a review for the toyota hi lux?

  • I just bought a brand new Tacoma with a 2.7L and a 5 speed. It runs circles around the old Sonoma ss even when it was new. I love my truck.

  • I would like to get an Extended Cab Silverado or a Single Cab Z71 Silverado...

But I'm starting to like the tacoma...

My only problem is that I like big trucks, so I'll do a test drive on all three models.

  • that 4.0 that has been out forever since 2003.

  • love it

  • I would buy one but i dont like look of it.. I'll wait to the new look...

  • does it have ipod connectivity?

  • @DJHx1 yeah, there's a video out there on how to hookup your ipod by yourself.. it takes like 25 minutes to do.

  • I have a 2010 tacoma sport access cab. I have had it for two weeks and I LOVE IT! Amazing how well it rides. I changed the sport shocks on it and it rides like a dream.

  • i love my tacoma

  • ... 5 seats... and 13 cup holders? surely he was jking....

  • @jwatwater No he's not. A lot of people get really thirsty driving this thing!

  • This will be my next truck! Sorry Obama Motors, I mean GM.

  • 2005 tacoma 2wd 2.7 manuel 24,000 miles

  • I own a tacoma 2.7 king cab. I thought this was a toyota best when I purchased this vechicle, but I was wrong. The manuel transmition is hard and stiff at times; take's a know how to shift. Windshield makes alot of noise traveling at freeway speeds. Body sheet metal damages too easily. I noticed the other day, underneath, rust on the frame, as well as the leaf spring are taking over. And one more, if not the most important, hurts me every morning to hear the engine start @ 2,100 RPM. Ouch!

  • F.Y.I. i have a two day old 2010 Toyota Tacoma, TRD, Off Road, the options that i dont have are, blue tooth, JBL audio, bed mat, rugged floor mats, other than those options, it's got it all. $28,950 @ 5.5%. they (St. Joseph Mo Rolling Hills Auto Plaza Toyota) will not deal on % rates on tacomas. +$30/per month for "bronze" protection plan (extends waranty to 60/125000 and includes G.A.P. ins. this is not to say we got the absolute best deal, but to give a heads up to future buyers. good luck.

  • what's that thing on the front of the hood? I only see it on the double cab

  • its a hood scoop. its supposed to increase performance.

  • I own a 09 TRD Off Road, best truck ive ever owned and driven. Better than my old FX4 F150, domestic piece of shit.

  • is the ride pretty harsh on the highway

  • No the ride is smooth on the highway.....

  • @krims0n70

What yeat Fx4 did you have? I'm thinking about buying an 09 tacoma or an 08 fx4. What went wrong with your ford?

  • @AngryDook A 2000, i still have it but i use it for Off Road use only now. Get the Tacoma, its better on gas and they just look better. Well the electronics got shot, my locks stop working the odometer went out, i had to replace the alternator just a lot of electrical bullshit and i had to re-gear my transmission. The master cylinder coil went out. If i were you man, i would get the Tacoma go to your local dealership and test drive one and let me know what you think.

  • @krims0n70 True man I also owned a F150 ShittyStroke and it was a FUCKING piece of shit I own a 09 TRD Off Road as well w/ 30k miles. this truck is the best.

  • Shut the fuck up you dont know shit. Toyotas are some of the most reliable, tough, trucks you can buy. Why do you think they are one of the most popular trucks to build offroad rigs out of? They last for ever. Just turn on the national news, you will see some video in Iraq of 35 towle heads in a 30 year old toyota that cruisin around, and they probably dont even know what an oil change is. Joint balls? I think you mean ball joints and toyota has never had a problem with ball joints dodge has.

  • @wawheeler21 yeah i agree with you man i think he was mentioning dodge lol.

transmition i dont think so lol

  • unbreakable

  • butiful truck cant wait to buy it

  • i wonder if that hoodscoop is difficult to see around

  • It's not... If anything, it gives you a better sense of where the middle of your car is on tight throughways.

  • not really...just got a 2010 4 door Tacoma sport saturday with the scoop and i easily got used to it...i love the truck. so it doesnt really limit visibility

  • I have the same truck as this video with the magnetic grey metallic paint job and the floorboards. it's the shit I towed 8,000 pounds of trailer and sportbike in the bed from San Diego to Washington, it was beast! I get a lot of compliments on her too I don't think i'll ever drive another kind of truck then the Tacoma

  • how much is it

  • with everything it came out to be 27,500

  • i like tacomas to my little bro has one. i have a tundra though

  • i have a 2008 Tacoma, i can definitely testify that is one tough truck. Before this i had a 04 Dodge RAM 1500, and i realllyyy took care of that thing, but in 08 it broke down. Now ive had my Taco since march of 08 and have done about 40,000 miles. In that time i have treated it soo badly off road (never took my RAM off roading) my skid plate is so fucked up, and i know there are times where if i was driving my RAM, it would have become undriveable. This has not and will not happen to my Taco :)

  • i have a 2002 tacoma i love it iv had no problems with it and the fram rot issue it hasnt affected mine but i keep the fram painted i like the ram but the tocoma can do just as much

  • I agree Toyota cars are dependable & reasonably priced in comparison w/ its competitors. I think the TRD package really BOOSTS the look of the Tacoma...

  • the most reliable trucks in its class no questions about it, and I think they look great especially if you update the Springs/suspension/tires

  • yup, tacomas sure suck with their high safety ratings and dependability. The only reason they have frame rot problems is because they last so long, something eventually has to break. On most midsize domestic trucks its the engine or the tranny that goes out at around 150000 miles.

  • tacomas don't have crew cabs right? they only go up to double cabs. but, what's the difference with the crew and the double (like the tundra variations)? they're all a 4-door right?

  • Tacomas offer regular cabs, access cabs (what the domestics call extended cabs) and double cabs (what the domestics call crew cabs) configurations.

Obviously the regular cab is two-door. The access cab has four doors, but the back two are smaller "suicide-esque" doors. The crew cab has four full-sized doors.

  • oh okay, so the double and the crew are the same. i understand now. thanks.

do all access/extended cabs of any brand come in like the smaller 4-doors versions? because i used to think that some extended cab have only like 2-doors but with rear seating.

  • i mean do they all come in with the 4-door (back two are smaller "suicide-esque" doors)?

  • No. Access/extended cabs are smaller than double/crew cabs.

Access/extended cabs have half doors that are typically rear-hinged like a suicide door. They generally can only seat children or small adults for short trips, or storing stuff back there.

Double/crew cabs have four full-sized doors that are hinged like a typical vehicle door. These trucks are suitable for passengers and offer about the same leg room as a mid-sized sedan.

Only older trucks have two-door extended cabs.

  • oh i see, i get it now. i guess i'm just used to seeing the older trucks with the 2-door ext cabs. the thing is, it's hard to really notice these newer ext cabs having those rear doors. i mean, the suicide doors are kind of hard to spot, like you can't tell they're doors lol.

    thanks anyway.

  • YUCK Tacomas suck, look up their frame rot problem...after that you sure won't want to have anything to do with these

  • yo dude if u take care of the frame it wont rot out i have an 02 and mine is in the same condition as it was when it rolled off the showroom floor iv had mine trew mud snow and sand and its still good so u shut up

  • Yeah i took care of the frame, im not a dumbass like other truck drivers.

  • a truck is really essential for any family!!

  • Toyota should try stuffing the 4.7L V-8 in one of these.

  • nah its got plenty of pick up and it would murder your MPG

  • I was just reading that Toyota is replacing the 4.7L with a more powerful and efficient 4.6L. It's supposed to offer 15/20 city/highway as opposed to the old engine's 14/17 city highway. It's going to be matted to a six-speed auto.

It wouldn't necessarily give you too much more hp, but would give you a lot better torque and towing capacity for not a whole lot less mpg.

  • @moaski sweet

  • I agree just for the high performance package, and man it will be a Beast!! with less weight and alot more power

  • I have one, but have to say that the outlet is only for low amp draw. It will not suit all of your tools. The truck is great though!

  • my 98 V6 pre runner, and my 01 4x4 trd v6, both get 18mpg in town and 25mpg on the freeway. but i do have the K&N air filter in both. there both at 130,000 miles, just had to replace the starter in the 98, but other then that no problems.

  • Power Out is comes really handy in the back. I just purchased 2010 TACOMA TRD and couldnt be happier with any other truck.

  • 13 Cupholders... i am so sold for this truck now

  • Hahahaha, where do they fit them all ?/

  • great truck!! Toyota is in a class by itself...domestic truck makers better wake up

  • my 01 f250 diesel gets about the same millage and it can tow alot more, has alot more room, but cost alittle more, i also bet my lariat has more optins then that even though its an 01, and its very reliable, it only broke down once because the diesel fuel jelled in the winter once

  • And your 01 250 has lost a dramatically larger value than a 01 Toyota pick up has. Your Diesel will kill your wallet when parts go out, and you can expect many parts wearing out because of that lovely American engineering. Everyone has an opinion, why buy American??

  • Haha I'm looking into buying a truck myself. The Tacoma caught my eye since I got to drive my friends one, I also tried the Frontier, F150, 250, and Silverado. In my opinion the tacoma was the best. Going up and down (I live on an island), and after all that we took it on a 5 mile stretch against my other friends Frontier, and it still was asking for more. I love this truck!

  • The Tacoma is a great truck thats for sure. Before purchasing any truck you should go check out Tacoma world, its a giant forum of nothing but Tacomas, 1st and 2nd Gen. Just google Tacoma world on google and make a name on there and browse around, you will be amazed and the potential in these trucks!

  • I have. Thats why I'm hooked on them.

  • why is the power outlet in the back?

  • Tailgating.

  • Great and honest review. Thank you. I just bought one.

  • If you bought, please tell me how is vechicle? I want to buy too.

    Thanks.

  • Well, so far is a great vehicle. Toyota craftsmanship is just great. My first toyota and it looks and feel like a vehicle that is going to last forever. All buttons are right at your fingertips, the ride is smooth with a few bumps, but it is a truck. I bought the TRD Sport and the power is very good. Responsive and steady. The safety features are super. The gas milage is good.

  • Thanks!

  • So, you guys fixed it...

  • Toyota>All

  • lol NOT

  • lol why not, you have a better truck?

  • Guys! Sorry about the issue w/ the 1st upload. We had to delete it due to the "black out" error. We lost all the comments when we deleted the video.

    Enjoy the video!

    -Charlie

  • it needs a redesign to look fresh like the tundra

  • Wasn't the audio & video not synced right the first time or something?

  • fixed what?

  • They fixed the gap in the video right before the end- it was just a blank screen for a while which is why it got a low rating.

  • Yup! Sorry about that. We don't know what happened. The video was fine on our machines but got messed up during upload.
