He could have gone on to talk about United Fruit's near total domination of the Guatemalan economy, and how the CIA overthrew the country's democratically-elected government, which was trying to instigate some basic land reforms. This ran counter to US/United Fruit's interests, so the US equipped & trained the death squads which terrorised Guatemala for decades.
