Not to say that Ford can't build high performans engines. This one is out of the ordinary, however.

No, the CCR had a Ford engine. The CCX has an engine made by Koenigsegg themselfs.
Back then they had to tweak a Ford engine becaus it was more cost effective. Today they can affoard their own design.
