When I searched on google, I found that picture of him smiling at the start, but the little video, with bad grey picture, IS that a video of him before a picture got taken, or is it just fake? :|

It's from the DVD "Unknown Chaplin", which was a series on TV that showed unseen clips of Charlie at work and outtakes from his films. Someone has uploaded it all onto youtube if you want to watch it with out buying it. Search for Unknown Chaplin "My best years". It is really fascinating to watch.

It's a dvd with three episodes of behind the scenes footage of Charlie at work etc the footage has been restored and rescued from ruin and they turned it into a documentary placing the clips in a kind of choronological order :D
